“We are always impressed with David. He is our go-to person on Rover for our dog. Our dog is a husky and is given plenty of time romping around in the yard. David often takes the dogs to a neighbors fenced in land and just lets the dogs run and explore in a safe environment. There’s even a small pond for them to splash and swim in. in addition, our dog is safely socialized as David will typically keep 2-3 dogs at a time and makes sure the dogs are staying are all friendly and compatible.”

We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. Dogs seem to take to me well. I’ve worked as a junior groomer for a few months and trained my own dog. Not professionally, but he listens and understands. I’ve always loved dogs and been an animal person! I have an almost 4 month old baby so I have been a SAHM. I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. About: Ever since I was a teenager I've been taking care of neighbors pets and watching their houses while they were away. I have a dog of my own and I love animals of all types. When I pets sit for you. I take care of your dog or cat like they are my own. I also leave your house in a better condition than I found it. “We are always impressed with David. He is our go-to person on Rover for our dog. Our dog is a husky and is given plenty of time romping around in the yard. David often takes the dogs to a neighbors fenced in land and just lets the dogs run and explore in a safe environment. There’s even a small pond for them to splash and swim in. in addition, our dog is safely socialized as David will typically keep 2-3 dogs at a time and makes sure the dogs are staying are all friendly and compatible.”
