About: I've been caring for pets since I was young (including dogs, cats, horses, hamsters and guinea pigs) and I currently have 3 cats. 2 of my cats are declawed and get along with the dogs, 1 cat has claws. I'm use to caring for the unique needs of senior pets, including extra bathroom breaks and administering meds. I have three kids, 2 in college and a 17yo, that love pets as well and assist when they can. I live on 12 acres well away from the road but the yard is not fenced. I opened a business in town 9/2021 so I'm no longer home during the day but my husband works from home and when the kids are home from college they assist. I would love the opportunity to get to know your pet(s)! My husband works from home so he can care for them and keep them company during the day. I own a business in town and am usually home by 4pm. I have three kids that love dogs and assist when schedules permit. My cats also get along well with dogs. Dogs are not allowed on furniture but we do play with them if they are the playing kind or let them sleep if that is their preference.

We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

I’m careful about securing doors and gates, and I’m happy to discuss any specific needs like medication or dietary restrictions before the first visit. I also do require that I come meet you and your pet before accepting you as a client. I want to ensure both you and your pet are comfortable with me and vice versa.
About: My love of pet care began at age 14 when I got my 1st job working with a vet. I bicycled each morning at 6 am before school to clean cages. My love and determination has not waned over the years and I have continued, off and on, to work with vets and offer in home pet care to a diverse group of clients from birds to wolfhounds for the last 30+ years.. I have found most pets prefer to be in their own homes and around familiar sights and sounds to ease their transition from their primary caregiver to me. For this reason, I highly recommend in home pet care. I am willing to discuss pet care in my home on a case by case basis.

About: Hi there! I’ve had pets my entire life and currently have a 6 year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, so I’m no stranger to high energy dogs that need structure, exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation. Through caring for my own dog and helping friends and family with theirs over the years, I’ve gained experience with everything from daily walks and feeding routines to enrichment, playtime, and providing extra patience for anxious or reactive pups. About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. About: I have been a fur mom since I was about 12 years old and have experience with all kinds of pets, including reptiles, chickens, hamsters, Guinea pigs, birds, & chinchillas. I also use to work at a pet store doing pet care which involved lots of handling, cleaning and keeping a healthy environment for the animals. I am currently self employed and I make my own schedule so I am flexible with my availability. Mondays and Thursday are more flexible but I have time on the other days of the week as well. About: I’ve had animals of many kinds from tiny to huge growing up. I’d normally house sit for family and friends until I decided to join the Rover crew. I enjoy house sitting as I’ve realized pet are usually more comfortable in their own homes. I have the ability to bathe, walk, feed, and of course play with your pets! About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

“This was by far our best boarding experience ever. To start with the set up is perfect and the place is absolutely beautiful with lots of room. So much so that I even asked if they would board humans. Incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly thorough when it came to pre-planning to drop off and communication during boarding and pick up. They had us bring as much of our dogs stuff from home such as bed and bowls, and that type of thing that way it would not break the routine and we definitely have seen the results since we picked up our pet. Many times when we pick our pet up It takes them a couple days to get back on track but it’s almost like we never even left her. Can’t say enough about the quality of care and people and the place our dog was kept. Will definitely be taking our dog back when we need . I can’t stress enough how enjoyable our vacation was knowing that we didn’t have to worry about anything regarding our pets care.”
