Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 6 years old. We grew up with a dog who lived to be 16 years old. I’ve dogsat for my sisters dogs for years now and my wife and I have our own dogs (a 5 year old Golden Retriever and a 7 year old Goldendoodle). Dogs forever have a special place in my heart because they will always love you unconditionally. I work 8-5 everyday of the week, but am looking to supplement my income with my favorite animal. I can do any time on the weekends and after work during the week. I will always be respectful of your home and leave it in better condition than it came in. If there is anything I need to clean up after myself, I will do that.

Things are very structured in a sense of safety, behavior, and peace within all of the dogs during their stay. That’s where being a dog trainer comes in handy and the dogs can have fun while being in a calm state of mind! 😉🧘♀️💗🐾 I have three large dog yards- two are fenced in with 6ft privacy fence, and one yard is 6ft chain link fence. They can go potty, play, sun bathe, play in the dog pool, or just enjoy the fresh air. This is also nice if your dog isn’t aloud around other dogs- they will have their own large area to do their business and enjoy their time outdoors in a safe private area too!! 😌❤️ Cats love it here too! 🐈🐈⬛ your furry baby will get to enjoy toys, lick mats, cat castles and scratching boards. Even some cat nip if they’d like 🤪😸, and plenty of cuddles to “make biscuits”. 🥰🐾 If your dog can’t be around other dogs or cats, that is no problem here. I have plenty of room to give dogs and cats their own private space to still keep them at peace and accommodate to their needs during their stay! I like to match personalities within dogs so they can make great friends while they are on their vacation too!! About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.
