My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 6 years old. We grew up with a dog who lived to be 16 years old. I’ve dogsat for my sisters dogs for years now and my wife and I have our own dogs (a 5 year old Golden Retriever and a 7 year old Goldendoodle). Dogs forever have a special place in my heart because they will always love you unconditionally. I work 8-5 everyday of the week, but am looking to supplement my income with my favorite animal. I have a lot of experience with animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, turtles, rats, exotic birds, goats, and a tarantula or two so feel free to reach out if you have any questions about your pet. I worked as a Veterinarian Assistant in Greensboro, NC and I have been with Rover since 2018. I am a kind-hearted, patient person with lots of love to give your pets while you are away. I am an avid hiker but if she/he is more of a couch potato, that works too. I have cared for puppies, adult and senior dogs, kittens, adult and senior cats with medication needs on several occasions. He has a great set up that allows the dogs some shade outside, even on hot days. When I picked up my dog she was smiling and even went to say goodbye to Kenan. So I won’t have a problem with pets that don’t like children. My husband breeds Cocker Spaniels. We have 2 cocker spaniels in the house along with my Dalmatian. Plus, 2 cats in the house. We always have puppy pads available for pets that are puppy pad trained. We also have a variety of sized crates that will fit your animal if they are crate trained and you wish for it to be used. I don’t mind following strict schedules or rules. I believe every pet owner has their own rules and how they want their pet to be trained. It's just easier that way but if you need more days I'm sure we can work something out I work from home Mon thru Fri 9:30 to 5:30 so during my work hours my pets go out to the bathroom 3 times during my breaks. My dog's know to be quiet during my work hours so if your dog is a big barker it wouldn't work out.

I haven't had as much experience with cats as I have dogs but I love them equally and have taken care of many at the veterinary hospital. I work a 2-2-3 schedule 12 hours a day meaning that I am off two days, on two days and off 3 days then vice versa the next week. The 12 hour shift pays off because that means I only work half a month! That leaves so much open time and that is why I have been able to tend to the current pets in my neighborhood so well. I have a Pomeranian named Bobby and he is my baby. I spoil him all the time and make sure that he is well taken car of whether he has to go outside at 2pm or 3am, I am out there! I give treats for rewards within moderation and love on him all the time. Your pets will get lots of love with me and I will make sure that they are well taken care of while still having fun. Bobby is a senior dog so I am always gentle with him because he also has a disability, so I will also be able to manage that if your dog has a disability as well. I walk Bobby twice a day and play with him a lot on the days that I am off because that is what continues the strengthen our bond.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.
