“I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch my 2-month-old puppy, Stella! She treated her like her own—giving her so much love, care, and attention. She sent me updates three times a day (with the sweetest photos and notes), kept me completely at ease while I was away, and even surprised Stella with a new toy. I could tell she genuinely cared for her and went above and beyond. I’m so thankful for the peace of mind she gave me, and I’d trust her with Stella anytime!”

“Annie was awesome with our golden retriever Charlie! We did a meet and greet a few weeks prior which I thought was a wonderful idea. During his stay at her house, she was very diligent about sending photos and made us feel at ease that she was taking such great care of him so we could truly enjoy our family vacation. We could tell Charlie made himself right at home at her place and he seemed to get along great with her pups. We ended up asking her if she could keep him longer as we were wanting to extend our vacation. She was very accommodating and added the additional days to the booking right away. She is very responsive which is so appreciated. We would absolutely recommend her to others. We would love for Charlie to stay with her again in the future! Thank you Annie!!”

“Izzy was awesome! She was incredibly thorough in her care of our cats. Other sitters in the past have just fed them, cleaned their litter box, and left. Izzy actually stayed, played with the cats, gave them treats, and lots of extra love while we were gone. Highly recommend her! We will be using her again!”

“Melissa was so amazing! She helped us with drop in visits with our cat. She was super sweet with her and took great care of her, and made sure to send lots of photos and updates which were really appreciated! She also made sure that some packages she kindly brought in from the porch for us were out of our cat’s reach (for the cat’s safety and the package’s safety…) Really grateful to her for taking care of our cat, and on such short notice!”

“I’m so glad I found Brittani! She took INCREDIBLE care of my two kittos and my home during my week long vacation. I imagine they could sense her good energy ☺️Brittani truly went above and beyond my expectations and I’d highly recommend her!”

“Alanna took care of my two kitties for 6 days. I honestly don’t feel comfortable leaving them with anyone else but her. She sent me the cutest pictures and videos of them playing and cuddling. This is my 2nd booking with Alanna and definitely not the last :). Thank you Alanna!”

About: I've had experience in handling and providing care for cats of all temperaments from my own to working with boarding cats at kennels and the SPCA. I am comfortable adminstering medicine through food or using a pill pusher or pill pockets. Growing up one of my cats had issues with her kidneys and I administered her pills with a pusher as it was the only way to reliability know she received her life saving medicine every morning. I have a young cat of my own who is a bit on the spunky side but I love him reguardless of all the sass! At the SPCA I made sure all our cats in the facility were fed and had a clean kennel. I enjoyed free time providing enrichment through play or for the more shy cats sitting quietly and allowing them to come and go as they pleased.

“Samantha did an amazing job with my three cats! They are very spoiled and needy and require a little of extra attention. She was very attentive and sent a lot of pictures so I was able to see her interactions with them. I could not be more pleased with the service she provided. My cats are my babies, and it felt great that I knew I could trust her completely!!”
“We love Ciera and definitely refer her to everyone! We are repeat clients of hers. She’s passionate about caring for our two puppies and even stops by to say hello to them if she’s in the neighborhood caring for other animals.”

“Kim is awesome. She took good care of our older dog and went above and beyond caring for him and watching over our home. I’d highly recommend her to anyone. It’s a good feeling to know we have someone so dependable to count on when we leave town to take such good care of our dog.”

“Christy was wonderful! She leaves thorough reports and multiple pictures. Christy is easy to communicate with and prompt in her responses. Most importantly, Callie really seems to like her!”

“If you want peace of mind for your pets while you are away, Holly will give you that!! She is wonderful. We loved getting the daily updates and photos/videos. The kitties were comfortable with Holly. She made them feel loved and well taken care of. She even went out of her way to bring in our house Amazon boxes that were delivered. We love Holly and will be booking with her again each time we are away!!”

“Charlotte had a great day with Lilli and her family! We are thinking she will be in the rotation now for my Charli girl. So many cute pics and I could tell she was loved. “Shea is awesome! Messaged me throughout the day with updates on Pepper (doggy day care at sitter's house). Our dogs got along really well and played hard! Definitely rebooking and recommend.”

About: Hi, I’m Izzy – an educator and lifelong animal lover! I grew up with cats and dogs and now have two sweet, friendly pups of my own. I’ve worked at a dog grooming salon, cared for pets over school breaks, and love providing reliable care when pet parents need a helping hand. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer or a mellow homebody, I’ll adapt to their needs and give them all the love they deserve. I’m happy to provide references from other families I've worked with! I look forward to connecting soon. I work remotely as a teacher so I am available during the week and on weekends! I am happy to come to your house for drop in visits or walks. I also do offer doggy daycare in my home for one dog a day. I have two dogs of my own who love to have visitors. Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ve cared for dogs both in my home and in their own familiar space. I always follow your pet’s routine and preferences to make sure they feel secure. I have two friendly, crate-trained dogs who love making new friends, and my home is pet-safe and well set up for boarding or drop-ins. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so you feel totally at ease!
“Lucia is fantastic. She kept my young energetic dog and my old sensitive nervous couch potato! When I picked them up they were both happy and content. I received frequent photos and texts throughout the day along with an end of day report. Will definitely return and also use for overnight boarding.”

About: I’ve owned up to 4 dogs at a time. Having that many dogs in my house together, I’ve learned how to meet their needs and keep them happy. I’d put two at a time on one leash which made walking them easier. I’ve always been the “go to” person when my family or friends needed a pet sitter. My passion has always been children and animals. I was a teacher’s aide for the past 27 years. Now that I’m retired I’d like to switch gears and spend time taking care of dogs. My home is dog friendly. I have a fenced in yard on a quiet cul-de-sac. I also have two sweet dogs of my own that are friendly and playful.
About: Hi! I’m Kat — and I offer personalized walks and enrichment as a trusted extension of your dog’s care team. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. They’re family. Clear communication and consistency matter, and I take that seriously. Every visit is an opportunity to build trust — with both you and your pup. You’ll receive thoughtful updates that include notes on energy, potty, behavior, and anything I’m noticing (because yes, I absolutely pay attention to the details). I truly treat each dog as the individual they are. Some are bold explorers. Some are thoughtful observers. Some love a purposeful walk, while others prefer a slower pace with time to sniff and take it all in. I adjust each visit based on age, health, temperament, and your household routines — meeting your dog where they are and supporting what helps them thrive. I’m especially attentive to patterns — what helps a dog feel calm, confident, and engaged. Safety and steady leadership are always my priorities. I’m mindful at doors, leashes, transitions, and the environment around us so your dog’s experience is secure, structured, and positive.

About: Hi! I’m your friendly neighborhood pet sitter—animal nerd, plant parent, and professional chaos manager 🌿🐾 From pocket-sized hamsters to majestic Great Danes, opinionated parrots to mysterious snakes, I love animals of every variety. Fur, feathers, or scales? I’m in. I approach pet care like a science and an art—learning routines, decoding body language, and adapting my care to match each pet’s unique personality (yes, even the dramatic ones). When I’m not hanging out with pets, I’m probably fussing over plants and making sure every living thing around me is thriving. Whether it’s following a color-coded care sheet, calming nervous pets, administering meds, or watering your beloved jungle, I’ve got it handled. You can head out knowing your pets (and plants!) are safe, spoiled, and genuinely cared for by someone who treats every home like a tiny ecosystem worth protecting. 🐈🌸🐶🐍🌱 Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you're away! My wife and I recently made the move to Southern Pines from Florida and have been enjoying getting to know the community—especially its many pets! I believe good pet care starts with clear expectations, happy routines, and making sure every member of the household—furred, feathered, scaled, or leafy—feels safe and well looked after. I’m happy to offer pet sitting, house sitting, doggy daycare, and more. I have a large fenced backyard for safe playtime and live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for walks, adventures, or just soaking up some sun. Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you’re away!

About: I’ve dog sat for my friends in this area on and off for years. I grew up on a ranch with animals and am comfortable with them. I have a 3 year old chocolate lab who absolutely loves friends to play with and has never had any issues with other dogs or people. I currently work part time, and have a lot of days with full flexibility. Most mornings after my kids go to school I’m free, and weekends or evenings my 12 year old and 8 year old love to walk with or play with dogs with me. My yard is fenced in, and my home is dog friendly. I’m happy to stay in clients homes as well if my schedule with my children allows. I don’t mind driving a bit to go to different neighborhoods for walking either.
“Rebecca took really good care of my boys. They were completely worn out by the time they got home. I really appreciate her quick response to my last minute request. She really saved the day keeping my 2, 8 month old puppies.”

I’m a teacher on summer break, so I have all day to spend exercising your pup! I take my own dog on lots of walks, but am mindful of the heat and need for hydration. I pay attention to what the dog is comfortable with and love on them like they’re my own (treats, pets, play, encouraging words, etc.). If they need space, though, I understand.

About: My experience in pet care is extensive. From helping raise and train my own family dogs as child, to working at different animal facilities, I have experience in many different/difficult situations I may face. While I lived in New York I worked at a high end Doggy Daycare and boarding facility that prided itself in creating a certified "fear free" environment for dogs. In a daycare setting I handled and monitored up to 25 dogs in a safe and ethical way. I learned how to read different dog body language cues and how to handle small to XL size dogs. I took a lot of pride in the environment I created for my playgroups so dogs could enjoy safe, fun interactions with each other. I also worked as a kennel technician at the same facility. I did potty breaks for up to 50 dogs, cleaned kennels to propers standards and provided enrichment and feeding for all of our guests. I have experience in how to handle aggressive or stand offish dogs in a safe and manageable way. I also learned a lot about animal health and helped provide care for special needs guests who may have disabilities due to age or that were on seizure watch. Any issues or concerns I had health wise were immediately brought to my supervisors so it could be brought to the owners attention. I worked at Resorts Boarding and Play in two different times for about a year and a half total. After my time at this facility I worked at the SPCA Serving Erie County as an animal caretaker. It was here I gained more exposure to different temperaments in dogs and cats and how to work with them while also cleaning their kennels so they had a clean safe space to enjoy. I enjoyed helping all these pets in desperate need and watching them come out of their shells and experience joy more and more. It was one of the most rewarding parts of that job! When I moved to North Carolina I spent a few months working at 7 Lakes Kennels as a kennel technician again. I cleaned kennels and helped pair dogs for daycare play. I handled medicine distribution to dogs who needed it, cleaned potty yards and of course, played with many dogs! I again had previous experience in handling some tougher dogs so I was comfortable in helping others with some guests who had behavioral challenges. I also did feedings for the guests under my care for the day and took everyone out for potty walks at allotted times. Although I have only professionally been in the pet care industry for about 3 years I consider most of my life as experience from also doing all pet care for my animals growing up, including pushing pills for my childhood cat who had issues with kidney function. I fed all my childhood pets morning and night. I handled supplements for my goldendoodle who had hip and joint issues later in life. I have tons of techniques to help dogs take medicine in an enticing manner. I also made sure my dogs received 20-30 minutes of intense exercise a day to meet their large dog requirements as goldendoodles. They preferred playing ball but also enjoyed added on walks. I am sincerely passionate about providing top-notch care to pets and have shown that to many previous employers who always enjoyed my attention to detail and efforts to work with the animals regardless of any behavior issues or health concerns they faced. I am stay at home as of now so I have plenty of free time on my hands. I prefer to be at home rather than out so the only time I gone really is to run errands or be at the gym. I enjoy an active lifestyle so I do walk my dogs a bit or allow them to run around outside and play with them. I have a set feeding schedule for them. Breakfast is 8 am and dinner is 5 pm. I have done both of my dogs basic obedience myself as I'm looking to advance in the dog training field. I hope to start schooling soon to get my certifications. I have used different techniques for both of my dogs as they have different temperaments. I strive to understand my dogs thoroughly and work with them rather than force them into overwhelming situations. We always start small and build from there once they show they understand a concept or become more comfortable in a new environment. Both of my dogs are crate trained. I love them very much but I finds crates are a very helpful tool to help teach self control and give them a space they can call their own. I am happy to follow any instructions you may have for me through a text message or written out on paper. If you have any concerns I am happy to communicate with you while you are away! At one boarding facility we would send out pictures every three days of a fun activity we did with the dogs to help ease owners minds. I am more than willing to do something like that for you everyday! I totally understand the worry of being away from your best friends! I do ask if your dog boards with me that they come with their crate/kennel. I find it a bit easier for a dog to decompress in a new environment if they have something that is familiar for them. Blankets that smell like you are a plus. I am more than willing to clean toys and bedding before you come to pick up your buddy again. If you want feeding done at certain times I'm happy to do that as I have a free schedule just taking care of my home. Walks, playtime and interacting with dogs are must to keep spirits up while you are away so I am happy to provide these services as well! Of course attention and love is given regardless to any pet I am watching! I am comfortable adminstering medication according to labels or any supplements/treats you provide your pets! I ALWAYS listen to and watch dogs for body language cues. I find that respecting dogs leads to a much better relationship between caretakers and friends. I have extensive training through "The Dog Gurus" my first employer provided all employees. This taught me different play styles for breeds, how to monitor health through potty habits and what to look for in concerning poop. I learned the warning signs of seizures and how to handle them as well as what to watch for if a dog may have a parasitic infection. I was also taught signs of stress and techniques to help prevent them through providing familiar scents, toys or approach. I am aware of and use certain skills in approaching nervous dogs-become smaller and less threatening by turning your back slightly and not holding direct eye contact. I always allow a dog to approach me by offering my hand from a distance and letting them decide if they want to interact or not. For dogs who were sensitive or reactive about touch around their neck while working I used a "double slip lead" technique so I wouldn't have to get into their personal space while putting a lead on them. It also made it safer to remove a lead by never having to physically touch the dog, rather gently pull one lead attached around the other and they would both safely slip off the dog. Understanding a dogs temperament and triggers is vital for me to work safely and effectively with any dog I encounter or interact with. Please always offer all information on your dog to me during a meet and greet session. I would rather have "too much" information on your dog than feel like I'm scrambling with questions later on while you are away. I enjoy working with all different types of dogs and love learning about their personalities and things they enjoy. I feel confident in my skill level and experience to provide safe, loving, enjoyable care for all your four legged family members.

About: I was raised around animals, especially dogs, for as long as I can remember. My love for them runs deep. I have experience volunteering at the animal shelter as a dog runner/walker and kennel cleaning aide (a little over 1 year). If I see a dog or cat, it quite literally makes my day. I believe they are man's best friend and truly deserve the best in life and the utmost compassion. I like to have fun and make pets feel safe and comfortable. I'm passionate about caring for and playing with animals and assure you that your pets will be in good hands. I grew up around golden retrievers, pit bulls, German shepherds, ridgebacks, great Danes, labs, husky mixes, and more. Thank you for your consideration! I work remotely currently and I can make up/adjust hours so my schedule is very flexible! I don’t see any impact with my current schedule thanks to the perks of working from home. I pay close attention to detail, I don’t leave animals unattended, and I’m very patient and gentle. I will treat your pets as my own.

About: I was raised with a variety of cats and dogs for 25 years, volunteered in a shelter while I was in school, and helped with herpetological demonstrations and assisted with their care. The last few years I have had further opportunity to care for coworkers' pets as I house sat for fellow nurses traveling . I have sat for everything from dogs and cats to lizards, snakes, fish, rabbits, even horses, pigs, goats, and chickens. I work as a nurse full time which allows me a relatively flexible schedule for drop in visits over the weekdays and and stretches of time off for longer stays. Flexibility is my motto; I am able to drop by for walks or let them out into the yard if there's fencing, all depending on your preference. I can free feed or work off a schedule, ect. I have worked with everyone from those asking me to just stop by to check the house and take in mail, no pets involved, to another asking for overnight stays with an anxious rescue on a feeding regimen and medication requirements.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve volunteered with shelters and own three of my own for the last 10 years. I’m currently working from home and hoping to get out of the house for a bit by doing drop in visits or dog walks. I’m available to board dogs as well so long as any furry guest gets along with the dogs already in the house. I’m comfortable administering medication so long as instructions are given. I’m certified in canine CPR. Im happy to cater to the needs of your dog and follow any instructions you provide. As im working from home, im available nearly all the time except for a few virtual meetings during the week. Our normal routine is a short walk in the morning, they hang out with me while I work, maybe a walk or a game at lunch, more work from home, then free in the evening for movie nights/parks/bite to eat somewhere dog friendly. I have a fenced yard with a doggy door to the back. I have also converted my office into a dog room with space for extra crate if that’s what is preferred. Animals are allowed on furniture at the owners discretion. I recognize all owners do things a bit differently and I know how worrisome it can be to leave them with a stranger so I want to put your mind at ease by conforming my care to how you prefer.

“I cannot say enough lovely things about Alexandra and the care she provided for our baby. We had such peace of mind on our trip away. She went above and beyond. We will absolutely trust her again!”

“Lilli was absolutely amazing! Our girl is super shy and nervous but we had absolutely no worries about her being with Lilli, we got tons of updates and pictures and knew she was being cared for so well! Would absolutely recommend she provided peace of mind while we were away especially for a dog with a little more emotional needs!”

“Cooper and Chase had a very good second stay with Nathan and Courtney. They were giving a lot of attention and spent time in the fenced backyard. A much better alternative to a kennel. We were sent pictures every day to keep up with how our boys were doing.”

“Ana was fantastic! She was very quick responding when trying to book a sitter. She is very flexible in drop off and pick up times, as well as setting up a meet and greet before hand! My 50lb German shepherd had a great time and would absolute rebook with her!”

“Jessica was great in accommodating drop off and pick up times when it suited me best.. My much loved pup immediately felt Jessica’s great energy, and in no time at all was happily wiggling his tail in approval of the new friend he found. through my the stay, Jessica was always reachable, and I was kept updated on Beamer’s mini holiday :)..will surely book Beamer,s next stay with Jessica.”

“Our regular sitter wasn’t available last week, but thankfully Megan was one of the Rover-recommended sitters—and we are so grateful she was. The reviews are from real people! From the moment I sent my initial inquiry, she was responsive and stayed in touch. After the meet & greet, we knew it was a perfect fit. She took wonderful care of our boy, kept me updated throughout his visit, and sent the sweetest pictures. He’s well-loved at home, but we’re a busy family. She truly spoiled him, and now he’s going through withdrawals ♥️ lol.”

“Natalie has watched my very hyper German Shepard three times and I honestly wouldn’t choose anyone else! She is constantly sending us pictures and keeping us updated on how our fur baby is doing. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!!”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
