My shy doggy had so much fun with her and the other dogs -- he was not bored at all since he could play all day long if he wanted. I will definitely bring my Beauregard back here again. The facility for the dogs is spotless and very well taken care of. We did not have to worry about him at all and we could tune into Facebook to watch videos of the dogs. “Myra and Rick are the sweetest people ever. Sheba my shepherd mix had stayed at a kennel last year and was so nervous she didnt eat the entire 7 days we were gone. Bella my pomeranian has never stayed with anyone but my brother in law due to health problems and needing to be hand fed due to her health issue. So needless to say both my girls are a little high maintenance. The girls and I met with Myra and Rick before their stay and it was like they had know each other for years. We went over everything about the girls from their quirks to their specials needs. Myra kept me updated on the girls while they were there and sent me pictures. I have no idea how she got my big dog to stay still but she was able to get the most beautiful picture of her to send me. Both girls seemed to really enjoy their stay. I think they are already missing Myra and Rick. We will be seeing them again soon.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

About: I grew up with two dogs in my house, a pug and an English lab. I have extensive experience caring for animals and have cared for many pets for neighbors, friends, and family since I was in my teenage years. About: I have worked in the veterinary industry for 10+ years, and have personal experience caring for senior pets, puppies/kittens, birds, and even rats and other small mammals. I would be honored to watch your pet while you have to be away. There are only very few irrational requests - it is my goal to be accommodating to what your pet is used to! Currently, pet care is my sole source of income and caring for, walking, feeding, bathing, snuggling, and playing with your pets is my full-time job! I will treat your pets as if they were my own. Before him I had another Aussie (female) who acquired cancer around 7-8years old, because of this I have sadly become very skilled with working with sick/hurting dogs. I also love to train dogs, my current Aussie has a Novice Trick Dog title from AKC and we are working on his intermediate title while learning Conformation skills and Therapy dog skills. I am very patient with the pups and am a big believer in positive reinforcement. My Aussie is registered and I am very good friends with his breeder who is very knowledgeable in this field and is always happy to lend a hand. About: My family has animals and I have spent 9 years helping take care of their dogs and two cats. I have two dogs of my own and I have trained them myself as well as knowing when they need space, fed, or walked. About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was younger. I would get paid to walk dogs around my neighborhood and to check on cats. I love hanging out and loving on all animals! At school there is plenty of grass for the dogs to run around and I am able to bring the crate and everything into my apartment if needed.
