My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. I have a set time to take my puppy out as he is still going through potty training My apartment is pretty open for the fur babies to room around and I have a small fur baby of my own that can play with! There is a big area of grass around my complex where they can go potty and play and a dog park right up the street.

About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

About: I have nearly 10 years of experience with dogs. For the last 4 years I have been running my own business where I breed health tested and titled AKC Labrador Retrievers. All of my dogs live in my home. They are our “kids” and our entire world revolves around them. Prior to this I managed 2 different boarding/daycare/training facilities, one in Wilmington NC and one in Catawba NC. Due to this experience, I have learned so much about dog behavior, training, proper structure within a household and/or pack of dogs, etc. I take pride in how well behaved my own dogs are as well as how they are able to co-exist with all dogs. About: Ever since I can remember we’ve had a fur friend in the house! My family and I at one point in time fostered fur friends until they could go to their forever home! I have been around and taken care of all kinds of dogs from pit bulls -chihuahuas! I am working part time right now and going to college online to be a speech and language pathologist! And they get my undivided attention they need I love working and spending time with your babies. I would make sure to always walk your baby on a Leash if there is no fenced in backyard or make sure gates are locked if you do and to make sure your baby is taken care of when you're away

About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.

I am a clinicial social worker who works from home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me time to take care of the animals.
