We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 6 years old. We grew up with a dog who lived to be 16 years old. I’ve dogsat for my sisters dogs for years now and my wife and I have our own dogs (a 5 year old Golden Retriever and a 7 year old Goldendoodle). Dogs forever have a special place in my heart because they will always love you unconditionally. I work 8-5 everyday of the week, but am looking to supplement my income with my favorite animal. I can do any time on the weekends and after work during the week. I will always be respectful of your home and leave it in better condition than it came in. If there is anything I need to clean up after myself, I will do that.
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

About: We were raising dogs before we had children. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, rescue dogs, and Icelandic Sheepdogs. There have been dogs in our home for over 50 years. Our pets are a part of the family and greet us each day with a licky kiss on the chin. Our grandchildren love to play with Spensa when they visit. Pet care is intentional and a part of our daily routine. With the morning coffee comes the morning run around the back yard. With my breakfast is the dogs breakfast. If we go for a walk, so does the dog! We all just do life together as we can! We have a fenced yard allowing plenty of room to run and play. Mom of 6 very used to being around dogs and often help take care of my dog as well. About: DISCLAIMER * As of 10/26/2024 * If i cannot meet you and your pets before the start of the booking, i will not accept the booking. This has become a safety issue for me. I will no longer be able to accept verbal verification that your pet will be fine with a stranger entering the home. (Exceptions are small puppies) I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10. My neighbor growing up had 4 cats, that I loved dearly! She was the first person who allowed me to watch her fur babies when she went on vacation! I've pet sat many times since then. Dogs big and small of all breeds from a little pug to a 100lb+ Rottweiler. I own a 85lb pit bull mix and a 10lb weenier dog. 🐶 They are my babies.💗 I can drop in anytime to check on your fur babies. Spend extra time with them. I do bathing, and walks also! If you need your fur babies to be crated, no problem! I will make sure their safety comes first. You can put your mind at ease knowing your pets will be taken care of! This is my full time job, I enjoy every second of it! So day or night I can always do a drop in visit or a walk! Your pets safety comes first! So during a meet and greet I will be going over a small list of questions to make sure I can take care of your fur baby to the best of my ability. With this I create a “pet profile” so when you need to rebook with me I’ve already got a reference to look back at. EXAMPLE; if your dog is good with other animals, or if there is a certain amount of food that needs to be given. These are just notes I make for myself, and so you can rest assured your fur baby is getting the best care!

All dogs are supervised at all times when they are not crated, and when they are crated they are supervised by a camera I have connected to an app in my phone! Things are very structured in a sense of safety, behavior, and peace within all of the dogs during their stay. That’s where being a dog trainer comes in handy and the dogs can have fun while being in a calm state of mind! 😉🧘♀️💗🐾 I have three large dog yards- two are fenced in with 6ft privacy fence, and one yard is 6ft chain link fence. They can go potty, play, sun bathe, play in the dog pool, or just enjoy the fresh air. About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.
