“My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

I currently foster with Mountain Pet Rescue and the Asheville Humane Society, and I’ve cared for animals with all kinds of personalities, backgrounds, and needs. About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, I grew up with dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, horses, chickens, ducks, goats, pigs. I feel like I’ve had it all, I am also a very seasoned Vet tech. I am expierenced with giving animals medication as well. I have experience with all kinds of different breeds and personalities! As a stay at home mom with a husband who works from home, I have a lot of flexibility and availability in my schedule! I would love to help out with drop-ins and dog walks! I take the safety of your pets and the care of your home very serious. If you have pets that require special attention or have high anxiety, I’m there to ensure everyone is safe, relaxed, and taken care of. I care for your pets as if they were my own and you can be rest assured they'll not only have their needs met, but be loved, played with and given plenty of attention as well!
About: I’ve always had dogs and cats growing up. All have been taken care of from 2 months and onwards! I find joy in connecting with animals and serving them - as they have served my life in beautiful ways by just expressing their unconditional love and gratitude with their movements and actions rather than words. It is an gift to be loved by these beautiful creatures daily. I am currently working independently and using this time to create and spend time with nature’s gifts. My schedule is very flexible - and I am willing to work with you! I make sure that they are walked, legs stretched, bowels taken care of, fed, played with and loved. About: I've had and taken care of my own dogs ranging from Great Danes to chihuahuas and everything in between, I would go to friends and family members house just to play with the animals. I love providing care and love to any furbaby near me!! About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.
About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.
About: I have always loved and enjoyed caring for animals. My home has always had a four legged family member occupying space. From rabbits to pot belly pigs it’s such a joy to love and care for them. I’m currently a full time student that takes online classes. So my schedule is pretty free and flexible. I don’t have a traditional job so I’m home a lot. I have a front and back yard that I can walk your fur baby in. I also have 2 friendly fur babies of my own to keep them company.
About: Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun! I'm currently just working a few days a week in a restaurant, no other commitments. Plus it's the longest I've ever been without companion animal of my own, so I have extra time and love to give at the moment. Will follow the owners instructions to the tee, and more often than not spend additional time when possible. “My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

About: I currently am working as an ER veterinary nurse. Previously, I was a nurse at a general practice hospital for 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I do work as a ER veterinary nurse in the area, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
