I am now a stay-at-home father of three looking to do something on the side while my kids are in school. I love taking care of animals and will treat your fur babies like my own. I only request to arrive at the location either before 9 AM or after 5 PM My cats live inside and I make sure to give them all the attention and play that ask for as well as keeping their environment enriched. I am certified to administer both oral and SQ medications, SQ IV fluid replacement, glucose monitoring and care of special needs pets. I am pet CPR and first aid certified. I treat your pets as if they were mine with lots of TLC and snuggles. I provide potty breaks every 2-4 hours and walks twice a day. There is a medium size temporary fence in my backyard for the pets playtime. For care of your cats if would come to your home to feed, clean litter boxes and playtime. The pets are allowed on the furniture and to sleep with me if if so inclined. My career of choice was RN nursing at Duke University Hospital for 32 years. I do however require a meet and greet prior to any service request. I have a 9 years old lap retriever who has severe arthritis in his hind legs I do welcome both kittens and puppies. I am particularly skilled in the care of special needs pets and have taken additional courses in veterinary nutrition and message. I text pet parents every other day and send photos of the their furry babies. I am currently working full time and holidays Monday through Sunday. Times are flexible.I do require a meet and greet prior to any service request. I will return your calls or emails within 4 hours I have a temporary fenced in area in my backyard for potty breaks and playtime. Potty breaks are every 2-4 hours. I am with the kids most of the day. Pet parents are requested to bring pets favorite toys and blankets from home .pets are always taken outside on a leash. Pets are never left outside in the pen unsupervised.
About: I've had animals in my house for over 20 years. Spanninng a cockatiel, a cat, five dogs and my clown fish who are going on 18 years old. Once, I drove the bird into the Tuft's vet school in a blizzard on a weekend night. Another time I took one of the clown fish into the Tufts satellite clinic on a Sunday because he hadn't eaten for days. Both pets lived to tell their tale. Cats are great, I love how they set the rules :) But dogs are where my heart is, especially Airedales, and rescue dogs are a labor of love! My priorities start with my pet family, unless I'm taking care of yours. Then, your pets become my priority. I work from home most of the time and that allows me to have the ultimate flexibility in my schedule so that I can care for your pets as appropriate, on their time. I've raised my dog training game significantly over the past few years, attending regular sessions with my trusted trainer, Baptiste. Our work has focused on highly reactive dogs and also puppy training. Like kids, pets can do no wrong. I do not get upset with them, I just clean the mess ;)
About: My experience ranges from raising entire litters of puppies to managing farms. I absolutely love doing this and it is one of my greatest joys! I have been pet-sitting and farm sitting for over 8 years. I have administered medications to various animals, including a feeding tube and IV. I have experience with all kinds of animals from bunnies to horses & cows :) I am flexible to take care of your pups, let them out and take them for walks! I sometimes have another job but usually it is just pet-sitting! I am careful to ensure the house is just like I found it and the pets are properly taken care of and given the love and care they deserve.
