“Daisy had an amazing second visit. She was happy to return as she ran voluntarily back into the back yard when we arrived. It always feels good to leave a pet where you know they are happy and well taken care of. I was sent many pictures of daisy throughout the 5 day visit. Daisy will most certainly be visiting John and Zena during my next work trip.”

“Communication was great! For our first time we felt so comfortable leaving our baby! I was a nervous wreck but was constantly comforted with messages and pictures! She was in great hands during our absence. When we left she was so excited to see us but also so sad to leave her new family. Looking forward to future visits. Thank you for taking great care of our girl and for being so flexible!”

“Christianna was so great to my babies. Took them at the last minute and handled unsure/fearful cat with love and care. Will 100% use her services again if I need a sitter in the future. Thanks again Christianna!”

“Marcia was very accommodating when we asked to extend our dog’s stay. We could tell our dog was well cared for and enjoyed her time with Marcia and her family. Recommend booking with her!”

“Melanie and Addison treated our dogs just like their own. Because of this, I was able to actually enjoy vacation. They are amazing and our dogs were very well cared for.”

“Rose took care of our puppy Rip for 1 night, last minute. I would highly recommend her services and will def be using her again. Our puppy was so happy when we picked him up and she has plenty of yard for them to run around in. Nice farm!”
“Ben, Shannon, and the kids are absolutely amazing! We booked them to care for our new puppy while on a family vacation. During our vacation we received news that my wife's Mother was very sick a needed our care. Ben and Shannon were extremely flexible and compassionate. We couldn't have made it through this time without them. We are still using them for day care and overnight care when needed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet. They will treat them as their own!”

“Lauren had great communication before and during. Thankful she was able to accommodate our last minute request. Highly recommend lauren. Thank you again and have a blessed holiday.”

“Michelle took great care of our pup! We have a 16-month old lab-mix with medium/high energy, and she kept her safe, active, and entertained. She was also flexible with our travel schedule which was massively helpful. Much more reasonable/affordable rates compared to other Rovers in the area. No idea how people justify $75 - $100+ nightly rates; seems outrageous, IMO. Anyways, not much more you can ask for or expect! Great experience all around. Will not hesitate to book with her again if/when the need arises.”

“We were so blessed to find Nicole to care for our pup over the weekend. It was his first time experiencing out of home overnight boarding so we were very nervous how he would do. She sent frequent updates with pictures of him playing with her sweet pups and going for regular walks which made me feel so much better! Although my pup was stressed, Nicole did everything possible to care for him and put him at ease. She even went above and beyond by washing his things and giving him a bath. I’m so appreciative of her and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat your pup like their own!”

“Kovu loved Sara and her pup Theo! He had a great time playing in the backyard and relaxing on the furniture. Sara was very respondent and sent lots of photos to make me feel good about leaving my pup behind.”

“Five Stars plus more. My in laws rented a beach house in the Outer Banks that dogs where not allowed. My fur baby, Penny, has never been away from us and I wasn't very happy about not being able to bring her. From the moment we dropped Penny off with Theresa I knew Penny would be fine ( we still missed her very much). Thersea has a huge fenced back yard for Penny and her new dog friends(Thersea's furbabys) to run and play. Thersea went above and beyond, every night with Facetime so we could say goodnight to Penny. Also, she made sure Penny had her nightly belly rubs. Thank you for giving Penny a fun vacation at your house. I won't hesitant to use Theresa again.”

“Morgan did an awesome job taking care of our puppies! Kept me updated daily on how things were going and sent pictures. Most definitely will use her again and refer her to any friends in search of a sitter. Thank you Morgan!”

“Excellent communication! We are so happy we have a safe/caring environment to take our dog to when we go away for a few days. We received plenty of pictures and updates of how he was doing during his stay. We would definitely recommend to others whom are looking for a reliable place to board their pet. Thank you Sabrina!”

“Kristin and her family were awesome. Kristin sent pictures of our furry loved one assuring us that she was doing well and had settled in nicely. We are so grateful for her loving and gentle care.”

“We were visiting the area from out of state and needed someone caring to keep our dog in a comfortable house (rather than a kennel) as the event we were attending didn’t allow dogs in the accommodations - so we booked Taylor sight unseen. She was very friendly and warm, and was all around excellent with our senior lab mix - she sent regular updates with videos and pictures and he LOVED running around her land, getting to splash in her pond and watching all the farm animals. Will definitely book with Taylor again if we are ever back in the area and need a dogsitter!”
“I highly recommend Eugene to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, professional and loving sitter. Eugene left a remarkable first impression and my pup instantly felt at home. He’s attentive to your dog’s needs, provides long walks and ensure that your fur baby gets their exercise/play time. I really appreciate the communication and daily updates with photos. Will book again!”

“Jon has been a great sitter for Jinger, we're glad we found him. Our trips are better knowing she's being care for well. We truly appreciate Jon and 100% recommen him for your pet care. Thank you so much Jon!!!!”

“She was awesome and super last minuite booking. My previous sitter back home bailed so i brought him to the beach, the house we stayed at wasnt super dog friendly so i reached out to gloria and she was willing to keep him for 3 days and the best part is he came back tired.”

“Elizabeth did a wonderful job with our pup! We received picture and message updates throughout the week which was really nice! Our pup and Elizabeth’s dog Sprinkles became good friends which was so sweet! We would definitely use Elizabeth again and would recommend her to others as well!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

About: I have always loved and been surrounded by dogs growing up. I'm looking for some fur babies to spoil. I would love to take them for walks or just leisurely relax on porch if they prefer. Happy to snuggle up and watch a movie. If they enjoy belly rubs or playing fetch give me a call. I work from home so I am here most of the day to provide love and affection to your pets. They also will enjoy being able to roam free while I'm here. However, on a few occasions I may leave for 3-4 hrs for a client meeting. Presently only taking non-aggressive pets. I'm happy to pickup or drop off your pup if needed. Only willing to do house sitting in a non-smoking home and fully Air conditioned/heated. My schedule is accommodating so I'm open to last minute bookings and can guarantee quality time with your pet. Please feel free to text or call. Look forward to meeting and getting to know your pup. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for sitting most weekdays and weekends just let me know what days you need. “Mrs. Rose and family took great care of our little Shirley. We feel very confident and comfortable with them. Our kitten was also comfortable. I believe she really enjoyed herself. We even received pictures as to how she was doing. It really put us at ease.”

About: I’ve had a high maintenance dog since I was 8 years old. I have had 12 years of taking her for runs, playing with her and keeping her healthy and active! I have also always enjoyed going to local shelters to walk dogs! I am currently working part time in Sioux City. About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every pet. I’ve grown up around animals and regularly care for pets for family and family friends, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities and needs. I have experience with both dogs and cats, including helping younger pets learn routines and giving extra patience and gentle care to older pets. I treat every animal like my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.

About: With several years of cat sitting experience I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family by providing check-ins, feeding, and playtime. I know how important it is to keep cats comfortable in their own environment with their own routine, and I’ll treat your Cat/cats with the same care and patience I’d give my own.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and needs—from playful kittens to senior cats that require extra patience and attention. I understand that cats thrive on routine and a calm environment, so I focus on creating a stress-free experience while you’re away. During each visit, I ensure your cat is fed on schedule, litter boxes are kept clean, and they receive the right balance of attention—whether that’s playtime, affection, or simply quiet companionship. I’m comfortable administering basic medications, monitoring behavior changes, and providing updates so you always know how your cat is doing. Cleanliness, reliability, and clear communication are my top priorities. My goal is simple: ➡️ Keep your cat comfortable ➡️ Keep your home clean ➡️ Give you total peace of mind while you’re away

About: Hi, I’m Yanna! Most of my pet care experience has been with dogs, but I’m also comfortable caring for cats and following their normal routines. As a local babysitter and house sitter, I’m already used to being trusted in people’s homes and paying close attention to the details families leave for me. I’ve cared for pets in homes with cats before, including a family with three cats, and I’m also booked for a four-day house sit with two cats. I’ll also be helping a neighbor with cat feeding/check-ins. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, and giving cats space when they need it. I’ll always follow your instructions closely and send updates so you know how they’re doing.
“We had to cut short our trip so Emily only had 2 visits to Molly but she kept us informed on how she was doing during that short time and Molly didn’t even miss us. I’m hoping Emily will be free when our trip is rescheduled but I hope she will be able to spend a little more time on the visit duration especially after the first few days when Molly will probably be looking for company and hugs.”

“One of the most professional dog sitters I have encountered on this app. I have been using the Rover app for a while and she is hands down the most qualified. I was amazed at the set up she has for the dogs and how charismatic she was to all her guests. Very attentive and gives updates throughout your pups stay. If you need a dog sitter in the outer banks, I highly recommend her!”

Occasionally I will care for pets in my home.
“Rachael and her family were life savers for a last-minute booking! Our dog has little “quirks” that make him not the easiest dog of the bunch but they were so patient and understanding! We could tell Reddy was very comfortable. They’re super friendly to chat with as well! Hope to see them again!”

“Taylor was fantastic. She is very flexible with her time and very patient. She arrived on time and did a great job with my high-energy Siberian Husky. I will definitely re-book her.”

About: Hi 🐾 My name is Juliana, and I’m a passionate and reliable pet caregiver with a strong background in animal care. I graduated from NC State with a degree in Animal Science, where I built a solid foundation in animal health, behavior, and welfare. I also spent two years working at a veterinary hospital, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and cats in a professional setting. During that time, I assisted with handling all different kinds of breeds, monitoring their health, and making sure they felt safe and comfortable, especially in stressful situations. This taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly, and provide attentive, compassionate care to each unique animals needs. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and genuinely attentive to each pet’s unique needs and personality. You can feel confident knowing your pet will receive safe, loving, and personalized care while you’re away, along with plenty of updates and peace of mind for you as I would want for my own pet! Right now, I’m in a transition period before shipping out for the Air Force, and I’d love to spend that time doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals. Whether it’s pet sitting, dog walking, or just giving your pet some extra love and attention, I treat every animal as if they were my own. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety, trust, and environment of every pet that I care for, whether they are in my own home or in the client's home. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I take the time to thoroughly assess the environment and identify any potential hazards or risks. I make sure that the pet has access to fresh water, food, and a comfortable space to rest. Overall, my approach to caring for pets is centered on creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment that promotes their well-being and happiness.

“I'm basing this review on my limited experience with hiring dog walkers. This is my first time using this app or any dog walker services for that matter. I was amazed how easy it was to sign up and find a qualified dog walker under such short notice. I was worried my dog's stature and puppy manners would be intimidating, but was worried for nothing. The walker, Renee, handled him really well and passed in flying colors. Will use this service and walker again in the future if the need arises again.”

About: I have hands-on experience raising my own dog, Bentley, who is just over a year old. Taking care of him has taught me patience, consistency, and how to understand a dog’s needs at every stage. We spend a lot of time going on walks, playing ball, and playing tug-of-war, so I’m very comfortable keeping dogs active, engaged, and happy. What sets me apart is the genuine care I have for every animal I look after. I don’t just “watch” pets—I make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m attentive to routines, good at reading behavior, and I always take the time to build trust with each pet so they can relax and have fun. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own dog, Bentley. I’m used to planning my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure he gets plenty of attention. I have a flexible schedule, so I can easily include additional pets and give them the same level of care, time, and consistency. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, no matter where they are. In my home, I keep a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play and relax. I stick to their usual routine for feeding, walks, and sleep so they feel at ease, and I always supervise playtime. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to keep things consistent for their pet. I pay attention to behavior, make sure they’re secure at all times, and give them lots of love and attention. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet so you can feel confident they’re in good hands.

He was the most gentle giant you could ever meet. He accompanied me on camping and hiking trips in Maine. He passed away a few years ago. Now I'm the lucky mom of a rescue dog named Chance. He is an 8 year old undetermined breed. He may be a Doxie mixed with Papillion. I rescued him from the streets of China. I was working as an ESL teacher in Shenzhen,China at the time. He is one of my best friends and I spoil him with lots of love, treats and walks. I am a certified yoga teacher, artist and pet care provider. I started out pet sitting as a side business to earn some extra money, but it has become so much more than that. It is such a rewarding job and a great honor to care for so many beautiful animals! I will take great care of your fur babies and your home. You can have peace of mind with me as your pet sitter. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I am usually available most week days and weekends ( except the ones marked off my calendar), for house sitting and drop in visits. I can walk your dogs and keep the house and yard picked up during my stays. I will spoil your pets with lots of love and attention Safety is always my first priority. I never leave pets unattended outside, make sure harnesses and collars are secure during walks, and never feed them anything but their food. I will give them your treats if you give me permission. I also make sure the floors and rugs if the home are kept clean and that their is nothing dangerous around that they could eat .. I am Extra careful!

About: Hi, I’m Yanna! I’m a local OBX babysitter, and a big part of my work is being someone families can trust in their homes. Along with caring for children, I’ve also cared for pets during house sits and vacation stays, so I’m very comfortable following routines, respecting someone’s space, and keeping pets cared for while their family is away. I have four dogs at home, so I’m used to the everyday things that come with pet care — feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up, keeping an eye on behavior, and giving lots of attention. I’m also happy to follow detailed notes and send photo updates so you feel comfortable while you’re gone. My schedule is created by me, so I’m able to plan ahead and make sure I have more than enough time for the pets I care for. Since I work as a local babysitter and house sitter, I’m used to managing my own bookings and only accepting jobs when I know I can fully commit. During house sits, drop-ins, or walks, I always make sure there is enough time for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, updates, and anything else your pet needs. I’m very respectful of each family’s home and each pet’s routine. During visits or house sits, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walks, crates, medication reminders, doors/gates, and any house rules. I like detailed notes and will always make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

Pets are the best additions to our families and I find it very important to keep them feeling loved and occupied! I have a fenced in back yard, I keep them fed (3 times a day) , teach them tricks, give a ton of cuddles, and care for their every need to the best of my ability!
About: I've always loved dogs and caring for them. It’s important to make sure they get enough exercise and are safe. I enjoy dog walking and playing games with them like fetch and tug. I am happy to administer medication as well if needed. We have two cats, who are very sweet and laid back and normally hide out in basement when company is here! We also have an English Springer Spaniel, who loves playing with other dogs and is a respectful gentleman around the cats. I have a flexible schedule and taking care of your pets needs are at my top priority. I am available weekdays and weekends and also offer overnights. Healthy treats are provided for doggy day care and boarding. Clean dog beds provided, but feel free to bring anything that will make their stay feel more like home. I will always ensure that your fur babies are comfortable, happy, and safe.
About: I've cared for all kinds of animals throughout my life from my own animals to my friends and families. I always was the first of my siblings to volunteer to help feed, walk, watch over, bathe, and learn about animals and it's since been a passion of mine. I work part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets in my free time. I the sweetest cat,Olly, so I definitely get creative with indoor/outdoor activities. I have a variety of cat toys that your animal will have access to (depending on your preferences), puzzles and home made interactive games so your pup will constantly be entertained and hopefully tuckered out when returning home!
About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was 13. I used to volunteer at a humane society and now partake in “adopt a dog for a day” at our local shelter! It’s always such a great time and i’d love to give a hand to anyone who needs it with pet care. I’m currently working part time with a super flexible schedule and open to all sorts of activities! I do have transportation and can usually work my schedule around anything. I have lots of space for pups to run around and play. I also love walking through the woods/beach or going to the dog park with doggos. I am equipped with lots of treats and am ready to take on anything.

Nice farm!”

“OMG!!!! By far THE BEST EXPERIENCE I could ask for. Loved the transparency from the beginning! My Harmonie had the BEST time and I loved the pic mail received during her stay. Definitely will rebook when in town!!!!”

“Kristyn is an excellent caretaker! Our 90 pound sweetheart had an accident a year ago and is incontinent. This was the first time we left her - and while we were concerned Kristyn put us at ease with daily pictures and communication of Skylars status. We left her for 9 days. Kristyn also arranged to pick her up and drop her off at home. We also paid a visit to her beautiful property which is LARGE and very welcoming for a dog. We highly recommend Kristyn for all your pet sitting needs!!”
“"I had a wonderful experience with June as my pet sitter! Casper had an amazing time during his stay. She was so attentive and caring, and it was clear that he really enjoyed spending time with them. The dogs and cat were great company for him, and I loved hearing how well they all got along. June went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and loved. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind pet sitter. Casper can’t wait for his next stay!"”

About: As a dog and cat owner myself I love all fur babies alike! I grew up with a few of each in the house at a time and have had my own since 2008. From walks, bathing and administering medicine to sending you frequent pictures and updates to ease your mind, it would be my pleasure to care for your pet in any capacity. Whether you're going on vacation or just need a lunch time walk while you're at work, please don't hesitate to reach out. I have not cared for animals other than cats and dogs but am open to the opportunity. My children are in school and I am not currently working, so my availability is fairly open. I would love to fill it with walks and pets of all your sweet animals! I have a fenced yard so I am open to hosting an animal in my home as long as they get along with both dogs and cats as we have one of each. Boarding will be on a case by case basis and I prefer them to meet my dog prior to staying. We have a lab so he absolutely loves any animal of any size!
