About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed being around all kinds of pets- from cats and dogs to farm animals. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I’ve dreamed of having the opportunity to spend more time with them. My husband and I moved to Wilmington about 10 years ago, and for much of that time, life kept us so busy that having a pet of our own didn’t feel fair. Since I haven’t had pets of my own during this time, I’ve happily gotten my animal fix by pet sitting for friends and caring for their cats and dogs whenever they’ve needed someone they trust. I work away from home (Registered Nurse since 2016) just one day a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to give your pets the attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and love they deserve. I have a fenced in yard, a nice neighborhood for walks and no other pets to care for. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own.

As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. About: Hi! We’re Will and Sara; newly weds with a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever! We love to welcome in new dogs and help dog parents feel at ease knowing their dogs are taken care of! We feel comfortable administering medicine and making sure any special lifestyle needs are met! We have a large fenced in backyard, a flexible work schedule allowing your pet to be cared for as much or as little as they need, and an eagerness to make your dogs feel loved and cared for while you’re away! Sara works remotely at home with the ability to be with the dogs all day. We wake up early, start the day with breakfast and a walk, then routinely take the dogs out for fetch and potty breaks in our backyard throughout the day! We have a large fenced in backyard, a dog-proofed layout with breakables put away, water and food bowls easily accessible from the kitchen and an open layout that allows the dogs to easily stretch out and play where they’d like!

About: I have been around pets my whole life! I have taken care of each and every pet I’ve had. I have always had either a dog or cat in my house. And each of my family members have had pets that I have been around as well. I also use to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I cared for injured animals. I have my own mini farm, where I have pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys! So if you need any of those types of animals cared for I can do that too! I have a very flexible schedule so I basically have the whole day to come take care of any pets! I have plenty of time to come and hang out with your furry family! I have four loving dogs that get outside all day long because I have so much time during the day and a very large fenced in backyard. We go on walks all the time! We can have a pet play date if your pet likes other dogs. If you need your pet needs to crated, I can do that. If they need soothing music put on, I can do that too!

For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. When that option isn't available,they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I understand that these are not just pets, they are family members, and I always intend to treat them just as that. I have house-sat while taking care of the pets, made drop in visits through out the day, and have walked multiple dogs at once. I am very reliable and attentive. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them with another person; so I always make sure to do frequent updates over text (unless call is preferred). I do have two dogs of my own so if you’re looking to drop your pet with me, he/she must get along with other dogs! Thank you for your consideration! I only work three days a week so I should have plenty of time to take care of your babies as long as it’s on my days off which I have posted! :) I have a fenced yard and two very friendly and playful dogs to keep yours company. About: I have taken care of animals for the majority of my life whether that be nursing stray kittens back to health, assembling special meals for my dogs specific health requirements, or pet and house sitting for friends and family members so they could take a well needed vacation. I have always held a deep love for animals and a career where I can be around them all day sounds more like a dream than a job. While not a certified dog trainer I do have experience with training puppies for small tricks such as sit, place, stay, down, etc. and would be happy to teach your fur baby as I take care of them. As a full time student I have a very open schedule with asynchronous classes that allow me to be there when your fur baby requires. About: *Please Read* Hello! My name is Kaylah. I have been pet sitting for over 15 years and love all types of animals. I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, as well as cats and small animals like hamsters. When your pet stays at our house they are allowed in bed and on our furniture. The only thing I ask is that your pet is kid, dog, and cat friendly :) If you would like to bring your animal to my house I would be more than happy to watch them here, but if you would rather me come to your house that is fine too! I do offer drop in visits at your house but am unable to stay there while you are away. When your pet is at our house they will be loved and spoiled like one of our own pets :) *Updated 11/01/2024- I am a stay at home mom of 5 kids and a full time pet sitter. I will send pictures of your pet while you are away but I do only send pictures every other day unless it is a one night stay or Doggy daycare. (you'll get pictures that day!) About: I've been around well trained and untrained dogs alike for most of my life. I am capable with strong dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs who just have tons of energy! I am currently doing gig work in the film industry, so in between gigs I have plenty of time to care for our furry friends. I care for other people's pets same as I care for mine at home. About: Horses. Currently have 2 horses and have been around them since I was 3. Have only had my 2 since 2010. Also have 2 dogs that were originally from the Wake County Animal Center and fostered by me and have experience administering medication as needed for multiple species. I have a rabbit, dove, cat, and chickens. I currently work full time as an Animal Health Care Technician so would be available for overnight care, evening and early morning walks. On days I am off I would be happy to do middle of the day walks and help as best as possible! About: I have four cats and a german shepherd. I grew up having dogs and cats my whole life. I have raised kittens and bottle fed them and have experience with small dogs and very large dogs. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 5, growing up my street had so many chihuahuas. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own. Right now I’m in college so I’m doing this for a little extra money and for something to do. I would love this extra time to care and love your pets as if they are my own plus it would give me something to do. About: I did an Internship at an Animal Hospital for about a year and a half. I have personally been taking care of animals since I was about 14. I had a husky for almost 12 years, I had to give her baths, take her on walks, and feed her. I now have a Shih Tzu and for her, I have to take her to her hair cut appointments, her vet appointments, give her baths twice a week, walk her and feed her. I also took care of my Grandma’s cat and I had to take her to hair cut appointments, feed her, and clean her litter box. I am hardworking and also put 110% into everything I do. I am very reliable, trustworthy and I make sure everything I do is done correctly. I have also watched way more pets than what rover says I have, and about 95% of the people I dog sit for do reach back out to me to see if I can watch their pet again! I am a full time student! I currently have a part-time job because I wanted to take a break from pet sitting since I had been doing it continuously for so long. I still pet sit for my old clients, but am now ready to take on some new ones! I’ve realized I want to work my way back into pet sitting so I can quit my part-time job! I would prioritize the visits needed over my current job for your animal! :) I really do miss pet sitting and hope to be able to get back into it! The pets I have watched, if it’s at the owners house, or mine, they always seem very happy, and the owners are always pleased when they arrive back home! I am very observant when it comes to watching animals, so I try to provide the best care I can while they are with me!
About: I've taken care of all types of dogs, including my own dogs in the past which were pitbull German Shepherd, English bulldog and labs! I currently don't have any dogs but I love animals! I currently work Monday through Friday until 330 but I'm able to check on your dogs first thing in the morning on my lunch break and as well as after work and before bed if needed! About: I have a passion so deep for all animals and I have been riding horses ever since I was young so my experience is a little more advanced since I have been around many different animals. I work at a restaurant a couple days a week but short shifts so I have time on my hands. I also exercise and walk a lot so walking dogs would fit perfectly. I care for animals with patience and kinds. I don’t believe any animal deserves a tough life and bad care and I want to love on every single one.
