“I hate to be honest here. For fear that Kate and Ken will not be available when we need them in the future. They were so attentive to Tripp. Their dogs and our dog played so much. I received pictures and videos daily showing the smile on his face. We don’t have a yard as big as theirs. Or other dogs for him to play with. So this was a real treat for him. They understand our dog’s communication style. Let him be a dog. Play like a puppy. But also balanced it with the guidance and directions he is used to. Both Ken and Kelly were exactly what we hoped for when we signed up for care. We drove 40 minutes to drop him off and pick him up. Both my husband and I believe it is worth it. Previously Tripp had been boarded at a kennel. I started using Rover in hopes that he would get more interaction with dogs and humans while we were gone. Boy! Did Ken and Kelly do that! I have had multiple pets all of my life, from bearded dragons and snails to cats and dogs but now I have settled with my older toy rat terrier pup and my fat orange cat! I was able to achieve my pet first aid certification through the American Red Cross but it since expired (they are valid for one year) but I thought it was worth mentioning that I have been trained. I work in Columbia M-F but live in Holts Summit, MO. I am willing to work in Columbia, Jefferson City or Holts Summit. I’m working full time but can do check-ins/walks during my lunch break, before 8am or after 5pm on weekdays. Weekends are much more flexible as I don’t work on Saturdays or Sundays. I am comfortable with crate training and of course fenced in yards are great! I have no issues with walking pups on a leash. I live in Holts Summit where we have a leash law so leash and a decent harness would be required for stays with me. I have a huge yard to walk them around in!

About: I have grown up with Dogs and Cats. I have also pet/house sat for friends and family through middle school, high school and college. I have grown up with cats I’ve had/have 4 (Dizzy, Yoyo, Bast and now Tiffany!) My favorite activities with kitties are playing with the string toy, brushing, giving treats and snuggling while reading/watching Tv/doing Homework. I also like to keep the blinds open so the kittens can look out and watch the birds. Lastly of course I love watching them get the zooms! :) As far as Dogs, I’ve had/have 4 German shepherds (Apache, Zoom, Camo and Ranger), 1 husky (Cherokee) and 2 Australian Shepherds (Banjo and Max) My favorite activities with dogs are throwing the ball, running/walking, brushing/baths, snuggles and getting a snack never hurt! :) I have taken pride in self training my dog to be “good K-9 citizens” ex: No jumping, “Sit”, “Down”, “Waite”, “Leave it” and being good on the leash! You just have to figure out what the dog’s favorite reward is. It could be a toy, treat or positive pets/loving!

I believe dogs are the most loyal animal you could have I your home. The love they give is unmatched, no judgment on us humans, they love us unconditionally. I’m currently not working due to the pandemic, I’m home all day taking care of my dog. I have time for your fur baby all day. I have a house with a fenced yard. I live in a great area as well. I have a fenced yard that’s a decent size. I let my dog out several times a day, sometimes we take car rides. I rarely use a kennel but if your pet is not house trained or can get destructive, I would recommend you bring a crate in the event I have to run to the store or something.

About: Cats have always been my favorite pet to own. Having one ever since I can remember. Cleaning litter boxes and any cat mess is part of my system. Owning two cats of my own. I can provide a couple of toys to bring, or play using your toys. Feeding and watering the cat. Any special requirement is never too big to keep the cat happy as can be. Even if the cat can be grumpy, I’m patient and won’t make the cat uncomfortable or more upset.

About: Moe’s Place is a small in home dog boarding facility. I provide one on one care as well as exit baths. Moe’s Place has commercial kennels indoors and outdoors so they can stay outside when the days are nice. There is a large fenced in play area, but only dogs who come together play together. I make sure every dog is given some additional time to be treated like family. We turn our pups out in the morning before feeding, around noon and early afternoon. We also ensure your pup has time to go out before bed. We live here so it makes it very convenient to ensure your family member is getting the best care. We have lots of open time and play time. If your pup decides they would rather play indoors, we have an indoor play area also.
“Fawn is fairly new to Ximena and her pack. I wanted to have a back up sitter for when we wanted to board Fawn. Fawn gets very excited when we pull up to Ximena's house. She knows the dog "pack" and is excited to be there. When I pick her up at the end of the day, she is ready to have a nap, as she has had a busy day walking and playing. Both Ken and Kelly were exactly what we hoped for when we signed up for care. We drove 40 minutes to drop him off and pick him up. Both my husband and I believe it is worth it. Previously Tripp had been boarded at a kennel. I started using Rover in hopes that he would get more interaction with dogs and humans while we were gone. Boy! Did Ken and Kelly do that! From the reservation to the time we came back to pick up Argos, we were greeted with smiles and vibrant energy. She introduced Argos to other dogs very professionally and demonstrated outstanding positive reinforcement skills. During Argos stay, she took Argos for long walks and swim by a river and let the dogs roll over mud (as seen in the videos) She sent us videos of every step Argos took, from his interactions to other dogs, the good times they had, and even their bedtime. “This was my lab, Josie's, first stay with Megan A., and she had a blast! From the moment she and I entered the house, Megan made us feel welcome. She is a serious, knowledgeable dog person, and the love, the helpful information, and care she shared made a huge difference. In the past, I have felt a tad guilty about having to board Josie...but now, seeing how she fit so well with Megan's "squad," well, I'm gonna feel guilty if I don't take her there. Our family recently relocated to the Lake area as full timers after 30 years of being weekenders, so having great resources now that we are living here is so important.
