“Great having Saige as my first sitter! We met at a Starbucks to do a meet and greet and I instantly felt comfortable. Scary bringing a stranger into your home these days, so I was thankful she was open to answering any questions and wanted me to feel comfortable. Days later, I then had Saige come to my home to meet my cat and see the space to ensure she would also be comfortable sitting at my home. She petsitted or pet sat(?) lol, for 4 days and there’s hardly a hint that she was ever here - meaning she left the place as she found it and didn’t leave a mess or anything. I don’t think my kitty ever got super used to having a stranger in her home but that’s not Saige’s fault. My kitty is just super shy and takes a while to warm up to strangers. I just asked that Saige respect her boundaries and space and I believe she did that! My kitty is almost 16 years old and I just really wanted that reassurance of having someone around more often than just bopping in for 15 mins a day - so I’m thankful for finding this service and the sitting going smoothly! They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.
