About: I'm newly retired and love dogs of all stripes. I spend much of my time walking the neighborhoods in west county and would love some company from 4-legged friends. I'm usually available for dog walking or check-ins from Monday to Friday from 6am to 5pm. We travel in the shoulder seasons so I'm pretty open in the summer. We have a large yard and a nearby wooded park that we walk to. No fence so dogs will be on a leash most of the time. We have a 12 year old golden retriever named Lucy.

About: I’ve had dogs in my family since I was young. When I got older and moved out on my own, I ended up getting cats too. I currently have 2 cats that live with me, one was adopted and one was a stray kitten that I found in a thunderstorm. I’ve worked at a veterinary hospital doing tasks like feeding animals, administering medication, cleaning up after them, bathing them, etc. I have also worked at a couple of dog boarding shops. So, I can handle a lot of animals at once. I’m quick on my feet, especially when animals are getting too rough with one another. This happened a lot at the doggy daycares I worked at. But I know how to break up dog fights without hurting the pups in the process because of my experience there. I have been pet sitting independently for about 5 years, and I prefer it to being in a shop. I can have a closer relationship with the pets I watch this way. I’ve raised my own dogs and cats, so I know how to take care of them. I also know the certain behaviors to look out for, whether an animal is sick or not acting normal in general. I’m very attentive and your animals will be very safe in my hands. My passion is taking care of animals. I do this full time and I love every minute of it. My schedule is always open for your pets! I live on about 7 acres of property. The yard is not fenced, but I can take pups out on a leash. I do have 2 cats with me full-time but they’re very friendly. I also live in a split house, so I could separate them if needed. I’m also very used to going to people’s houses to watch their pets. I work best when there is a written list of what you need done. About: I have been around dogs my entire life, and have worked with a wide variety of temperaments of dog throughout my life. I believe I have a good understanding of dog behavior because of this I am currently looking for much more stable employment, but because of this, I am free pretty much every day of the week. About: I am an animal lover at heart. It’s been my job to care for my neighbors and clients pets well being for years now. Pets are family and I’ll treat them as my own. I work part time from home so my schedule is flexible! I am available weekends, early mornings, late at night, etc. When I’m not working, I stay at home with my 20 month year old son who I’ve also now turned into a huge animal lover. My house is small and one of my dogs is very selective so I’d prefer to keep your furbaby at their home. I can stay over or visit multiple times a day- whatever works best for you.

She took care of my dog for 2 1/2 weeks, sent a photo & comment every day about how Bessie was doing, and it was obvious she is passionate about animals! Because of her experience working for a vet I felt very comfortable that she was giving Bess her medicine, and since Bess is an older dog, she and her family gave her lots of cuddles and care. I won’t hesitate to ask her to dog sit again! Bessie also formed a friendship with one of their family’s dogs. She was very happy there!!”

She took the time to do a meet-and-greet first and carefully introduced Soup to each of her dogs, which made me feel so comfortable leaving him with her. Emily’s dogs are all such sweet babies and very well behaved. 🥰 Soup absolutely LOVED being with them! From all the pictures and updates Emily sent us, we could tell he was having a blast.
