Rachel’s family welcomed Larry like he was one of their own and their 4 dogs did a good job of showing Larry how life on the farm works! They even took him hiking at the nearby Pattison state park and he played a lot of fetch in their meadow and swam in the stream on their property. About: I specialize in large dog breeds as I have 1 Pyrenees and 1 golden retriever myself. They are both very well trained and certified ESA’s. About: Please reach out with any questions or concerns! :) I have been around animals my whole life! I grew up around dogs (small, medium, big) and cats. I’ve owned a cat for over half my life and have always taken care of her myself. When I was younger I also helped care for calves and cows, although I’m not sure if that experience will apply here. I have some experience administering medication (pills, eye lubricants and oral syringes) to dogs and cats as well! I worry about mine when I'm away, so I want people to know that I understand those feelings and that their pets are in good hands. I've also had rodents and reptiles, so I can watch after them too. I do this work simply because I love animals and exercise, so this is perfect. Socialization with new people and reinforcing training material (like basic commands) is mentally beneficial for pets too. Lastly, I'm a retired government employee, so I've had quite the variety of background checks - you will find me honest, reliable and committed. Since I am retired, I can accept drop-in's or walks throughout out the day. Last minute or same day requests are a real possibility depending on when you contact me. I'm quite flexible. I'm not boarding at this time. As far as caring for your pet in your home, I will follow your instructions implicitly. When I have others take care of my own dog and they don't follow my requests, it drives me nuts!

About: I have over 7 years experience supervising at dog daycares and boarding facilities in Orlando, the Twin Cities and Duluth. I was also an Animal Care Officer for the city of Minneapolis where I took care of pets of all kinds. I would love to spend time with your dog(s)! I work from home so I have lots of time to take care of and spend time with your pup(s). We enjoy spending time outdoors with our dog and going on daily walks. We have a fenced yard along with two friendly dogs, a 2 year old Golden Retriever and a Heinz 57, 25lb bundle of joy. We also have a family cat who isn’t bothered by dogs. Our dog is crate trained for nights but can be either free or crated when we are away, depending on your preference.

“I can’t say enough great things about how fantastic Rachel and her family were with our dog, Larry. He was there for 5 nights over the 4th of July Holiday and had the time of his life. Rachel was so good about sending lots of pictures that we really felt like we had a good idea of how much fun he was having. Rachel’s family welcomed Larry like he was one of their own and their 4 dogs did a good job of showing Larry how life on the farm works! They even took him hiking at the nearby Pattison state park and he played a lot of fetch in their meadow and swam in the stream on their property.
