The whole process was super easy and after the meet and greet I left feeling 100% confident that bubba would be in great hands. Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. The last 20 miles before finally giving up, I could barely see the lines on the road, let alone any cars in front of me. So we pulled off and checked in to a hotel. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!) Will definitely be "boarding" with her and her family again in the future! Super communicative with updates and photos to put our minds at ease.”

About: When your pet stays with me, they are family, and treated as such. I have experience with elderly and hospice pets as well as special-needs pets, young puppies, medication management and administration (liquid, pill, and injections) and some training experience as well. Well versed in pets with special care requirements (i.e. animals with anxiety, reactivity and/or other behavioral challenges). Because I work from home, I can be with your pet throughout the workday, and can easily step away to give your pet potty breaks and attention. I prefer to do house-sitting based pet care, as I’ve found that animals are most comfortable in their home environments. I am also happy to water any plants that may need it, as long as instructions are provided. Happy to work with large animals, amphibians, fish, and reptiles as well. Do note that house-sitting based pet care includes light house maintenance/cleaning as well such as vacuuming and laundering the guest sheets used. I like to leave the houses I care for as neat (if not neater) than they were upon my arrival. I work from home and can easily step away to care for your pet. About: My husband and I are former dog foster parents and love meeting/spending time with new dogs! We have two resident (foster fail!) dogs: Ace, a shy pitbull who LOVES other dogs and Tesha, a rambunctious tripod who LOVES people. We especially love older dogs in our house but are open to dogs 1 year and up. We have a fully fenced in backyard and a tie out available for outside play time. We have space to keep dogs separated if you have a dog that is shy or needs very slow introductions (we have a three level home). Our resident pups are allowed on our bed if they choose, but we have plenty of dog beds around too, and we do not allow them on our couch. We will do our very best to accommodate your pups needs and keep you updated on how your four legged family member is doing while you are away! I currently work from home and am able to take breaks to allow potty and attention breaks. My husband is also home most of the time and will be available when I am not. We like to do slow introductions to other dogs to ensure the comfort of our resident dogs and the visiting pups. We have the space to crate or allow roaming on separate levels if needed.

“I am new to the area, and Chelsie was very close by. She responded promptly and communicated clearly. I brought Riley over, and Chelsie kindly met me at the car. I was having some difficulty with the long lead, and Riley immediately went up to her as if they had known each other for a long time. When Riley heard the dogs barking inside the house, she led Chelsie to the door, which was quite charming. I realized I forgot to mention something to Chelsie, but she responded right away. On my way back to pick up Riley, I got caught in traffic, so Chelsie graciously brought Riley out to me, and Riley happily got into the car without any issues. After we returned home, I noticed that Riley's card was filled out, and there was a detailed note, along with photos of Riley's day, showing that she had gone for a walk and played with her dogs. Overall, I would rate the experience as excellent, and Riley will definitely be visiting again.”
