“We were very happy with our first boarding experience with McKenzie for our two golden retrievers. We met with McKenzie before our boarding date. It was very obvious she is caring and has a passion for the dogs she cares for. She is organized, and good communication before and during our dogs stay. Definitely recommend and will return for future boarding.”

“Our pug LOVED his 4-day stay with Brenda and her family! Our little guy got along great with her two pit bulls and really bonded with their little boy. The dogs played and ran together in the fenced in yard. Our pug came home happy and ready to nap. Each day, I received a couple of photos with a brief update which I appreciated. This was a short-notice booking, and I am so grateful that Brenda was available. We will definitely arrange dog-sitting with Brenda in the future.”

“Catherine and her husband took excellent care of our dog. Very communicative with pics, video and messages. Made us feel very relaxed with the care of one of our family.”

“Barbara was great. She shared daily updates, made my dog grilled chicken and rice when he wasn't eating, and acommodated a later pick up time when our flight was cancelled. I highly recomend her.”

“Jessica and Grant took wonderful care of our golden retriever while we were away. They sent frequent updates and photos and gave her lots of exercise. She was happy and healthy when we picked her up. We would gladly use them again.”

“So grateful to have found River to puppy-sit our 5 month old Sophie. I was nervous in leaving a puppy who's still learning in the hands of another person, but River made me feel safe and secure to have her take care of Sophie. She's sent us photo updates of our baby when she could since our pup has unlimited energy and doesn't stay still much. We're really happy in our experience with River and look forward in using her services in the future :)”

“As a nervous dog mom, I was anxious about leaving Sully with someone new while I was away on a work trip. Thankfully, Charlie’s calm demeanor and clear understanding of dog behavior put both Sully and me at ease right away. Throughout the trip, Charlie was quick to respond whenever I checked in, which gave me peace of mind. I also really appreciated how thoughtful he was in making sure another dog he was sitting would be a good match for Sully—it’s clear he truly cares about the dogs he watches. I’d definitely book with Charlie again!”

“I love Julie and Ben!! They really care about Navi as their own family member and I absolutely love them!!! They are super sweet and they updated me with pictures of Navi!!! I have already booked future dates w them!! Thank you guys again for taking care of Navi!!!!”

“Kathryn was a wonderful sitter! She was very accommodating, and communicated promptly. I felt at ease leaving my dogs in her hands while I was away. “I can’t recommend Brooke enough! This was Archie’s first stay with a sitter since our move, and I was honestly so nervous leaving him. From the moment I met her, I knew he was in great hands. She kept me updated throughout his stay, and it was such a relief knowing he was safe, loved, and treated like one of her own. Archie settled in so well, ate all of his meals, and even made himself at home (including sleeping in bed with her 😂), which says so much about the environment she provides. As a flight attendant, finding someone I can truly trust with my dog while I’m away is invaluable, and I’m so incredibly thankful I found Brooke. She is kind, communicative, and genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. Archie came home happy, relaxed, and I already know she’ll be my go-to sitter moving forward. If you’re looking for someone to care for your pet like family, I wholeheartedly recommend her! Thank you again, Brooke! ❤️”

“Betsy did an amazing job watching my miniature dachshund. I was originally going to bring him to a boarder, but after doing a test appointment it seemed like a really bad fit. He was very afraid & I definitely would've worried about him the entire time I was gone. I am SO glad I didn't go that route & instead tried out Rover & brought my little dog to Betsy because she was able to provide a comfortable environment for him. She sent updates & photos while I was out of town on a trip, which I loved! I definitely knew my dog was in great hands. Price was reasonable too! Will definitely be using her again in the future!!!”

“Thank you Deanna for taking good care of Indy! Deanna sent me pictures, videos and updates of how Indy was doing. It gave me the peace of mind while going on a family vacation! Indy enjoyed his time with his new friends! Until next time! Thanks again!”

“Robert was the BEST Rover we have ever had!!! I cannot recommend him enough 😃 Our dog, Archie, had a great time staying with him and got lots of love, attention, and walkies 🐾 Robert sent such fun updates, pictures, and videos that we loved getting and made us smile so much while away from our little guy 🤍 We will definitely be booking with him anytime we need to board Archie again in the future. I would give him 10 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Joanna did a great job checking in on my kitty Peaches. She reliably showed up as promised, communicated well, shared pictures and my cat loved her. She was good at telling with Peaches was in the mood to play or in the mood to cuddle and gave her all the love she craved. I will definitely have Joanna look in on Peaches again in the future. Highly recommend.”

“Jerome was an awesome petsitter for our shy cats! He and his wife Linda, who is also a cat lover, did drop in visits daily while we were out of the country for 14 days. They were super reliable, even during a big snowstorm, always sending pics and updates. I had no doubt my kitties were being taken care of, and they made extra effort to try different things to get my scaredy cats comfortable with them. And it worked! They had a lot of fun playing with Jerome and Linda and getting scritches every day. Came home to happy kitties.”

“Aichon was great!! Went above and beyond when there were issues getting into the apartment. Her communication is 10/10 and she sent us some really funny pics of our cat. Would def rebook in the future.”

“She did a wonderful job with my guinea pigs. She went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of when I was gone. “Jennifer has the magic touch with Miss Greycie my kitty! Greycie absolutely LOVED Jennifer! Jennifer is super considerate (bringing in deliveries), checking and executing all items related to my kitty AND leaving daily notes and pictures in Rover re: food, water, playtime, litterbox maintenance and grooming. We absolutely without a moment's doubt will ask Jennifer again to care for Miss Greycie😻”

“Rachel was awesome. Great communicator. I loved getting her daily updates including multiple pictures of my cat. My cat doesn’t warm to strangers very well but I could tell that she was very comfortable with Rachel from our first meet and greet. I will definitely ask Rachel to care for my cat again.”

About: I have years of experience caring for my own pets and pet-sitting for others. My experience includes all age ages and sizes of dogs and cats, including rescue animals, French bulldogs, pitbulls and Persian cats. I also have some experience with giving medication to pets and caring for small animals such as hedgehogs and rabbits. I love all kinds of animals and take pride in understanding and respecting a pet's unique needs and boundaries, such as petting and feeding needs. I look forward to giving your pet the same love and respect I give my own! Over this summer I am completely flexible as I will be attending university at the start of fall. I will have a very flexible schedule for both booking appointments and playing/walking with your animals. I like to keep a strict feeding schedule-which can fit to your pets needs if they already have one-and a minimum walk time of 30 minutes daily. Pets are allowed everywhere in both yard and home. If needed or wanted I am willing and happy to send daily photos and/or videos of your pet to you for peace of mind!

“I can’t say enough good things about Kayla. I have 4 cats and she makes sure to shower them each with attention. She is the most thorough, responsible, responsive, and sweet cat-sitter I’ve ever worked with. She handled giving my cat her medication like a pro. She is great about seeing to their litter. But what I love most about Kayla cat-sitting is her updates and photos she sends me (so thoughtful!)! I know my cats are safe and well taken care of with Kayla. She’s just the best!”

“Josephine was absolutely amazing. I loved that she communicated every day, left notes for us, and sent individual photos of every cat we had. It’s the first time I’ve felt so comfortable leaving my cats with someone, especially in an emergency.”

“We needed help watching our dog during the day while moving and Sally was great! I got multiple very cute updates of him each day and it seemed like he had a great time playing and running in the backyard. She was also very flexible with drop off and pick up times.”

“Ellen is so patient & understanding with my fearful dog. I drop my dog off with a wagging tail which says a lot! I am so grateful for her & her availability and communication.”

“We sent our high-energy dog to Toni for a full 12 hours and she was so easy to communicate with and super flexible with scheduling. The peace of mind to know that she was cared for and got a walk in during the day was wonderful. Highly recommend Toni for any doggy daycare needs!”

“Jen perfectly met the needs of my two very different dogs (energetic 3mo old puppy, and 5yo grumpy guy). She has a great space for the dogs, and kept me in the loop with photos and videos throughout the day. My puppy came home worn out and happy. I would use her again in a heart beat and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've cared for over 15 different dog breeds since I was 10 years old, from high energy hunting dogs to cozy lap snugglers. Friends and family have trusted me with their beloved pets for years. With 8 years in animal welfare, I understand behavior and emotions, including noise fears, nervousness with new people, leash reactivity, shy/timid, resource guarding, seniors, puppies, and special needs pets. I also care for cats of all personalities independent explorers, playful toy lovers, and devoted snugglers. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, stress free home where they feel truly cared for while you're away. Each dog in my care receives personalized attention and love. For daycare and boarding, I limit to two dogs at a time to ensure quality care while they are in a new environment. When house sitting in your home, I can happily care for up to four dogs, keeping everyone safe, comfortable, and happy in their own home. I’m happy to provide photo updates, and our home is fully prepared for play, rest, and supervision. I’m home during the day, which allows me to provide pets with consistent attention, companionship, and enrichment. Every pet in my care enjoys a healthy balance of play, mental stimulation, walks, and quiet time to rest and recharge. Evenings are cozy and relaxed, filled with gentle supervision and snuggles, so pets feel safe, happy, and loved from morning to night. I have a fully fenced yard with secure gate locks to keep pets safe, and I’m happy to make adjustments using leads or harnesses for curious or adventurous pups. I also maintain an up-to-date list of urgent care and emergency veterinary clinics throughout the metro area for added peace of mind. Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

“Dana is a great dog-walker. She’s very in tune with my dog’s moods and needs, and pays attention to the details, like making sure my dog’s water dish is topped off, or her feet are wiped. Also, Dana’s background gives me confidence about leaving my pet in her hands.”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. About: Need someone that loves your dog like you do? I can help! :) I’ve been an animal lover my whole life! I bring a calm and understanding care to every fur friend I look after. I currently dog walk a sweet 5 year old Boxer-mix weekly, but I’m excited to add more animals to my schedule. I build a bond with the pets in my care and am always looking for ways to personalize my approach to best fit their needs! -I also volunteer weekly as an animal care assistant at the Animal Humane Society! I am working part-time so I have lots of time to spend with your pet! I am available on weekdays for walks & drop-ins! I would love to meet your fur friend🐾 Making sure your pet feels comfortable is my top priority! I take the health and safety of the pet in my care very seriously. Ensuring that they receive their regular feedings times, potty breaks, medications, walks, play-time etc.! Aside from usual clean-ups (accidents/messes), I also do my best to tidy up as I go.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have always had a love for pets of all kinds. Growing up, I cared for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, turtles, and more, which gave me an appreciation for each animal’s unique personality and needs. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends and family ensuring the loved ones received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, sticking to a routine, or simply providing companionship, I enjoy helping pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m currently on a career break and based at home for the summer before heading abroad again later this year. This gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability for consistent, reliable pet care. I’m used to being adaptable from long-term travel, and I enjoy having structure and responsibility in my day-to-day routine. Pet sitting fits perfectly into this chapter by giving me a meaningful way to stay active, grounded, and local while doing something I genuinely enjoy. Because my schedule isn’t tied to a traditional job at the moment, I’m able to prioritize drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays, and give pets my full attention while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent, calm, and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, litter box care, medication if needed, and any specific preferences your pet has. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, whether they’re social and playful or more independent and shy, and I adjust my approach so they feel safe and comfortable with me in their space. I always move at the pet’s pace and focus on building trust rather than forcing interaction. In addition to direct pet care, I keep the home tidy and respectful: cleaning up after pets, refreshing water, maintaining litter boxes, and leaving the space as I found it. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Haidyn is great with my pets! She provides ample exercise, love, and attention while also being very timely in communication. Haidyn has also done great with meeting the needs of my puppy, who isn't fully trained. There are things I'm trying to work on with the pup, and Haidyn does well in being consistent with my training.”

“McKenzie is so kind and attentive to my boy. She made the time to come meet him prior to booking a walk and I feel comfortable and confident with him in her care. Thank you, McKenzie!”

“Charlie loves walking with Tracy. She has a calming and positive nature that helps with his high energy. He watches out the window for her. I really appreciate it, along with her flexibility with my schedule.”

About: No matter the size, breed or personality of your pet, earning their trust and friendship (along with your own trust) is my top priority. As a lifelong animal lover, I grew up in a multi-pet household taking care of dogs, birds and small animals. Since then, I have taken care of horses, anoles, cats, parakeets and my curiosity for getting to know an animal's individual personality has only grown over that time. I currently have two dogs: an Australian shepherd and border collie mix, both of whom I raised from puppies by myself. We are an active family, walking/hiking and in general spending time exploring the neighborhood for hours a day, traveling together for camping or cabin vacations in our spare time. It's cliche, but my dogs are truly my family and as a long-time Rover user on the customer side, I understand what it means to have a sitter/walker you can trust while you're away. I love finding people who strive to understand them as individuals and who are sensitive to their needs. My border collie is highly sensitive and I have learned to work within his limits, giving him the stimulation he needs by finding more isolated parks to sniff around, mental challenges inside, etc. that keep him entertained while reducing stress. I am more than comfortable getting to know your own pets' quirks and finding ways to keep their days consistent and stress-free. Pet care is already at the center of my life, as I have two energetic herding dogs. We walk frequently every day to help burn energy -- I like to let my dogs walk at their pace so they can sniff around and stimulate their brains while getting exercise. As someone with pets I understand the importance of trust-building in drop-in visit situations. As your schedule permits, we can meet beforehand via a meet and greet to get a feel for your schedule and space, and how to support your comfort and your pets'. Pets thrive with routine, and I strive to support that.
“Iris was fantastic! She was able to help out last minute, even though we had never met before, and she immediately put me at ease. She showed up right on time, took great care of Tussey, and sent plenty of pictures during the walk. It was such a relief knowing Tussey was in good hands. Highly recommend and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have had a dog (yellow lab) since I was in sixth grade, and I have taken care of coworker’s pets on occasion. I now have a rescue pitbull I love dearly. I can walk and play and sit with your pet to make sure they feel loved and have fun. I am currently out of school for the summer and I have a very flexible schedule, and I would love to come hang out with your pets! I like to hang out with animals and make them feel comfortable; I have a nice large fenced in backyard, and I have a car that I can take your pet in, if they like going in the car. I am used to giving a dog two walks a day, in the morning and evening.
“Annie is fantastic! Our dog gets really excited when she sees Annie come to take her on a walk. Annie is a great communicator with us too. I highly recommend her to walk your furry loved one.”

About: Being a Dog-Mom is my favorite. I’m proud of being the person so many dogs trust. I love all animals. I buy a lottery ticket each week in hopes of creating a sanctuary for so many of my four legged friends. I have ability to provide daily care for your families dog at your home. Daily care means nutrition, attention and play, besides any other care requested. I approach all dogs with care, letting them know i am listening to them in all ways, physically and emotionally. A calm setting brings out the personality in some, play in others.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was around 10 years old. Anytime any of my family leaves for trips they’ve always reached out to have me take care of their pets because they know I’ll keep the dogs safe, feed, bathed, and take them out of the house to not be cooped up! I’ve watched pets/house sat at least a couple times every year. Currently I also have a dog of my own, she’s a pretty crazy one, so more hyper dogs are perfect for me! I’m currently working a part time job and the longest my shifts go are 4.5 hours so I’ll have plenty of time to take care the dogs and I won’t be gone too long for those potty breaks. In your home, I’ll look and see what amenities could be helpful with the pup, like a fence or doggy doors, etc, ask for the pups daily activities/schedule and the normal things they do throughout the day and how i accompany with doing them, so they’re as comfortable and safe as possible!
“Molly truly treats your dogs like they’re her own. She fully embraces their personality, faults, quirks, and all. Anyone would be lucky to have their pets’ taken care of by Molly, they’re in GOOD hands!🤍”

I was nervous in leaving a puppy who's still learning in the hands of another person, but River made me feel safe and secure to have her take care of Sophie. I’d definitely book with Charlie again!”

“Anika was outstanding and exactly the reason why we use Rover. She let us come for a meet and greet before our trip, and provided daily updates on how our dog was adjusting. It was clear that he was enjoying himself and making himself at home, which gave us the peace of mind to really relax and have a great vacation. Anika was the perfect hostess and we would go back to her without hesitation. Thank you so much for taking great care of Sampson!”

“Nicole & David are fabulous! Our dog Brew loves going to their house for overnights. They are so kind, and it is very apparent that they are huge animal lovers and treat your pet like family during their stay.”

“Saniya did a great job watching our dog Wally! We can tell he felt loved and received a lot of attention and cuddles. Also she was great at sending pictures of the pup. Would highly recommend her!”

“Maggie and Cooper had a blast with Rikki and Daniel! They were truly “dog people”. She sent updates throughout the weekend and was very easy going and responsive with any questions I had.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Doc and Heather! Communication was excellent, all expectations exceeded, and our dog was clearly happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Jessie was great! She watched my two dogs Violet and Kala and they had a great time and got lots of snuggles. She gave me updates and pictures everyday which really helped put me at ease while I was away.”

“Amazing time with Ashlie. I loved her updates and great photos of our pup during her week with the family. Much appreciated and hope to book with her again soon!”
