About: Our family said goodbye to our 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Lou, and we are ready to open our home to our neighbor's pups for love and attention while you're away! Britt grew up with lots of dogs (and cats), and the whole family has experience caring for animals at all ages. Both Britt and Mike work from home full time, and are able to care for pets throughout the day and night. Our three children are in school and preschool in the neighborhood during the week, giving us several opportunities to go on daily walks. We have a large, fenced in backyard for dogs and our children to share. We do not require dogs to be crated at night or when we are away for short amounts of time. We do have a medium crate if their normal routine includes crating during short times alone at home. Our children are used to being around animals and know how to be gentle and respectful of space.

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. I work from home most days in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, with 1–2 days a week in the office. On home days I'm available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and check-ins. On office days, your pup will still get a solid morning and evening routine, and plenty of company once I'm back. There's no private yard, but there's a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I've been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home a lot and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! One or two days a week, I have to be at the office; I'll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled before I go. On Saturdays, I'm less flexible for check-in and check-out, since I'm away in the morning for volunteer work. I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats as a service since 2016. Every animal is different so I enjoy speaking with the owners beforehand and getting to bond with critters that are different than mine. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes and love caring for cats. I have cared for Guinea Pigs, chickens, pigs, goats, sheep and cattle as well. Farm sitting outside of the Twin Cities area available on weekends only ( Fri.pm-Sun afternoon). Weekly stays available only in Minneapolis due to full-time employment. I’m available weekends for walks and animal care. I’m a full-time employee so weekday evening walks after 5pm work best for my schedule. Previously, I have stayed overnight to keep the in home animals company and keep the house safe while folks are away. I can clean and bring in the mail. Whatever your expectations are I am happy to accommodate.

About: I’ve grown up with animals in the house and on the farm my entire life, from small dachshunds to chow chows to large hunting labs. We’ve had very rascal puppies, young high energy dogs, and very senior dogs on medications and needing special attention. I’ve house sat all sizes of dogs, from terriers and corgis to golden retrievers, as well as cats, both friendly and standoff-ish. Growing up with animals in the house, I know firsthand that pets aren’t pets, they are family, you love them dearly, when they get sick you clean up after them, and they make the world go round. I love pets that are very involved with everyday life (see my photos) of pets “helping” with homework, regular walks and play time, and bedtime snuggles, as well as pets that are in their own world and coexistence works best. I work full-time outside the house, M-F, so I’m mainly looking for weekends and overnights. I’m able to check-in on my lunch breaks when needed, and happy to do so. I grew up in the country and our dogs roamed free, while most animals that I’ve house sat have fenced in yards, so regular walks and active play is necessary. I’m used to animals both being left to roam the house or be crated during the day. I’m a pretty active person and my animals are active parts of my life, so if your pet enjoys people and is able-bodied, we’ll probably be going on lots of walks, finding nearby parks, eating meals together, and snuggling up to watch a movie. No one is allowed to meet your animal unless there is prior approval, especially no other animals unless yours is friendly and willing. I (unfortunately) have experience with animals getting sick, jumping a fence and going for a run, and unfriendly dogs coming close. I recognize these are all unwanted, however very possible, and having experience navigating and handling these often stressful situations, is needed to keep your animal safe and comfortable. I take every precaution to mitigate these risks, and have learned from my own animals and their mischievery.

About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals, including large dogs and cats. I can do medications and walks with no problem. I work from home so I can be available all day. I work remotely so I can be around all day. I typically get up around 6:30 and go to bed around 10:30 or 11. I can let animals out and walk them during the day. I have roommates with animals, so I am unable to board animals, but I can drop in to let animals out and walk them or stay and house sit.

About: We LOVE dogs and have a city sized house full of people that love giving them attention! We have 2 school age children but are home full time in the summer with a good sized fenced backyard and our own friendly pups, Oli and Lulu. We go back to our full-time jobs as educators on August 25, so our calendar reflects our school year availability (mostly weekends and some school breaks!) I (Kara) grew up always having a dog in the family, and as soon as I could, I acquired one of my own. I've learned that dogs need people, but people need dogs just as much. All this to say, we can't imagine a world without these furry little companions! With many attentive people in our household, your dog will never have needs unmet. We have a fenced back yard and get on many outings with our own high energy dog. We do on long walks daily and often to the off leash dog park (if your dog is licensed in Minneapolis). We have a friendly cat that mostly keeps to herself around dogs, but she does not allow other cats in the home (so we are unable to board cats.)

Maybe I can help you out there! I am a pet parent to all critters under the sun! I have extensive experience with dogs from young pup to seniors with medical needs including all sorts of breeds, large and small. I’m very active and happy to take your high energy pup for long walks (or even runs!) or just cuddle up with your couch potato. I also have extensive personal experience with cats. I have two kittens and have cat sat for friends and neighbors since I was in middle school. No matter how velcro-y or aloof your babies are Id love to keep them happy and healthy. Beyond dogs and cats I have owned (or cared for extensively) birds (cockatiels), reptiles and amphibians (bearded dragons & painted turtles), pocket pets (hamsters, guinea pigs & rabbits), freshwater fish, and horses! My wide expanse of knowledge means even if I haven’t cared for your exact critter yet I’m confident I’ll be able to pick up any new information easily and will make sure they are well cared for. No critter will scare me away! PLEASE NOTE: At this time I am not looking for any new regularly repeating weekly drop ins/walks, so if you’re looking for a new daily walker I’m probably not your best choice, however if you need the odd occasional visit, a sitter while you’re out of town, a sub for the week, or something similar I’d be happy to help! I work from home which grants me a lot of flexibility during the morning and day for walks or drop ins. My evenings can get a bit busy but with enough notice I can absolutely work in further care as well. I’ll be sure to adhere strictly to any instructions you give me. About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.
About: I’ve provided pet sitting and care for multiple dogs, and cats including feeding, walking, and maintaining routines for friends, family and even people around my neighborhood. I’ve loved animals since childhood, and even had my own lab for 16 years who I loved to the moon and back but sadly passed away late 2024. I know older animals require a certain level of attention and care. I love staying active, and high energy animals and I get along great! I do not mind larger animals. I have consistent availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional flexible availability throughout the week depending on my schedule. I’m great with planning ahead and keeping a reliable routine with my clients! I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. I maintain feeding schedules, regular walks, and plenty of attention to keep them happy and stress-free. In clients’ homes, I make sure to follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walking, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to. I always aim to keep their environment calm, consistent, and familiar. I also provide updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

They’ll get frequent potty breaks, steady companionship, and plenty of mid-day love. -Spacious & Secure Yard: We have a large, fully fenced-in yard perfect for zoomies, games of fetch, or lounging in the sun safely. -A Built-In Playmate: Our 2.5-year-old, 45 lb mutt mix is super friendly, energetic, and always eager to make new canine friends. If your dog loves to play, they’ll have a fantastic partner in crime! -Kid-Friendly & Loving Atmosphere: Our two kids (ages 8 and 11) have grown up around animals, know how to respect a dog's space, and love giving extra pets and gentle attention. Our Daily Routine & Environment: Because we work from home, our daily schedule is very flexible. A typical day includes: -Morning: Morning stretch and breakfast, followed by supervised yard playtime. -Mid-Day: Periodic breaks out in the yard, desk-side snuggles, and interactive play sessions. -Evening: Family relaxing time indoors, treats, and lots of cozy couch or dog-bed lounging. Important Notes for Guest Dogs: To make sure everyone has a safe and happy stay, we ask that guest dogs meet a few basic requirements: -Cat & Dog Compatibility: We have two resident cats and one playful dog. Guests should be comfortable around cats (or happy to ignore them) and enjoy playing or peacefully coexisting with other dogs. -House-Trained & Vaccinated: Up-to-date vaccinations and basic house-training are required to keep all our pets healthy and safe. We’d love to host a meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a perfect match for everyone. We look forward to meeting you and your pup! Kids are both in soccer and if there’s a game, dogs will likely get some rest at home while we are gone. Otherwise home to supervise and play. Cat & Dog Compatibility: We have two resident cats and one playful dog with a large fenced in yard. Guests should be comfortable around cats (or happy to ignore them) and enjoy playing or peacefully coexisting with other dogs. Our dog is crate trained and sleeps there each night. Happy to crate as well. We have a separate guest space for dogs who want a bit more space to relax in an unfamiliar place.
“Sarah was great! She was able to watch Diesel within a VERY short notice from another sitter. (Diesel is not neutered and wanted to make babies with her dog) sarah arranged to pick up Diesel and took care of him. He was walked and could tell he had a good time because when we got him home he sprawled onto the floor tired lol. She took him on walks, played catch, cuddles and told me about his eating/bowel movements. She also sent pics while he was with her! I will definitely book with her again!”
