About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. “Karen was super friendly and took great care of Rue! She had so much fun playing with the pup that Karen watches on a regular basis. Just reached out to book again!”

“Howie was amazing with Maizey. She is a bit timid around strangers, but she felt right at home at his house. Makes mom not worry so much when she is away that Maizey is in good hands! Will definitely book Howie again!”
About: I've cared for over 15 different dog breeds since I was 10 years old, from high energy hunting dogs to cozy lap snugglers. Friends and family have trusted me with their beloved pets for years. With 8 years in animal welfare, I understand behavior and emotions, including noise fears, nervousness with new people, leash reactivity, shy/timid, resource guarding, seniors, puppies, and special needs pets. I also care for cats of all personalities independent explorers, playful toy lovers, and devoted snugglers. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, stress free home where they feel truly cared for while you're away. Each dog in my care receives personalized attention and love. For daycare and boarding, I limit to two dogs at a time to ensure quality care while they are in a new environment. When house sitting in your home, I can happily care for up to four dogs, keeping everyone safe, comfortable, and happy in their own home. I’m happy to provide photo updates, and our home is fully prepared for play, rest, and supervision. I’m home during the day, which allows me to provide pets with consistent attention, companionship, and enrichment. Every pet in my care enjoys a healthy balance of play, mental stimulation, walks, and quiet time to rest and recharge. Evenings are cozy and relaxed, filled with gentle supervision and snuggles, so pets feel safe, happy, and loved from morning to night. I have a fully fenced yard with secure gate locks to keep pets safe, and I’m happy to make adjustments using leads or harnesses for curious or adventurous pups. I also maintain an up-to-date list of urgent care and emergency veterinary clinics throughout the metro area for added peace of mind. Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

About: I set the intention of pet care to being a friend to your pet and partner to you. I respect boundaries and priorities as needed. I currently work flexible hours throughout the week based off clientele. This would be an addition to my job as some days I have the entire day off or atleast half of it. Your pet always comes first. I take care of others pets like I’d expect a stranger to walk in and take care of mine. I want to leave with the intention that if I were to come back, your pet would open the door.

About: I’ve had 1-2 dogs since birth — and my own babies came home from the hospital greeted by our pup, Mister Beef Wellington (Wellie) as well. I believe that my life and the lives of my children are better and more fulfilling with a dog along for the ride. I can’t wait to meet your pup! I own my own business that I do part-time in between caring for my two daughters. Ideal clients are ones that like other dogs and children as that opens up my availability more as they’d tag along on walks or pop ins (if you’re comfortable with that!) I have a fenced yard and a very mild mannered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to keep your pup company. Happy to let your dog in / out of crate, feed them, play, etc.

About: 🐾 I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I started dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors when I was 10. When I got my own dog at 14, I fell in love with training and taught her over 20 tricks through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with both pets and owners, and I’ve been lucky to receive referrals from people who trust me with their dogs. I love making sure dogs are not just cared for, but genuinely happy and engaged. Whether that’s walks, playtime, enrichment games, training practice, or just giving them lots of attention and affection, I always try to match each dog’s personality and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I truly look forward to every day. I’m also studying Animal Science, which has made me even more passionate about animal care and behavior. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would my own.

“Lauren is such a wonderful person! Very personable, great communication, and she took such great care of my dog Skylar. They went for an hour-long walk around my neighborhood. Skylar looked so happy and was perfectly tired from the exercise. Highly recommend Lauren and will definitely book again!”

About: I’m an Animal Science graduate and I train service dogs with Can Do Canines, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs in different environments and understanding their behavior and needs. I’ve worked with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m very attentive to body language and routines, and I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I also grew up with dogs and have hands-on experience raising and training my own family pets—including a feisty dachshund puppy who I helped train into a gentle, well-behaved dog, along with two other dogs with strong obedience and great temperaments. My background means I naturally reinforce good habits, use positive reinforcement, and keep things consistent with what your pet already knows. I truly love spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention and cuddles. After graduating from UMN, I’ll be working part-time at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville (around 20 hours per week). My schedule varies slightly week to week, but this also gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Outside of my shifts, I have a wide availability and love filling my time caring for pets. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended stays. I currently provide care in clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always take the time to learn your pet’s schedule, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Safety is my top priority. I’m very attentive to surroundings on walks and in the home, and always monitor pets closely. With my background training service dogs, I’m confident handling a variety of behaviors and situations calmly and responsibly. I also have experience administering medications, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions when needed. I respect your home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and communicate as much as you’d like so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

“Madisen has been so wonderful with my dogs! I trust her completely to take great care of them. She keeps me updated and sends lots of adorable photos too. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've lived with animals my entire life and have been taking care of my own since I was about 7 years old. I've had a few dogs in my family: a chihuahua, shar pei, golden retriever, pomeranian, dachshund, and a chow chow; with experience from puppies to seniors. Cats have also been a constant throughout my whole life, from kittens to seniors as well. There hasn't been a moment I haven't had at least one cat in my home. I've had a few other kinds of smaller critters too: guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and lizards. I'm well versed in pet body language and reading what they desire or need, and have lots of love to give your baby(ies)! They deserve the world. I absolutely adore all animals and spending time with them is my favorite activity. Rover is my full-time job, so I can spend as much time as needed with your fur baby and make frequent check-ins or walks if desired! If your companion(s) is friendly to strangers, I will be sure to give them plenty of attention, play time, petting, and walks (if applicable) in addition to basic care and any other requests. If they're not comfortable with new people, I will respect their space and boundaries based on what they're telling me so they feel relaxed and safe. Every animal is different and I adapt to their personality and pace.
“Alex has been absolutely wonderful! He has been very patient with Finn and allowed him to take his time warming up to him. Alex sends me daily photos which I really appreciate, and has offered to spend more time with Finn outside after noticing that Finn was enjoying it. I plan on continuing to use Alex’s services and highly suggest him!”

“Jenna does a wonderful job with my greyhound Roo! She is attentive to her needs and reports concerns whenever she has them. She even has Roo trying to take me on her longer walking routes! I'm thrilled to have her support in caring for my sweet pup.”

“Jessica did a wonderful job walking our high energy dog, Isabella! She was available for a meet and greet beforehand, has been great to communicate with, and our dog was very happy after the walk. We look forward to having Jessica walk Isa again!”

About: I have grown up with all sorts of dogs of all sizes. I have taken part in both training and caring for our family dogs, and there has not been a dog that I do not immediately love. Being with dogs is always entertaining and extremely rewarding. I am not currently working, and I have a lot of free time during my summer before my junior year of college. I am available at any time of day, and my schedule is very flexible until I start working in June. I am responsible for walking, feeding, and caring for our three dogs when my parents are working. It’s very common for me to spend time with my dogs in my down time such as playing with and accompanying them.
“Athena is incredible. Otis loves her! She is friendly, warm, attentive and very good at communicating. Highly recommend working with Athena! She will love on your animals as if they were her own.”

About: Before leaving for college my parents bought a beautiful Pomeranian at 12 weeks old and she continues to be the sweetest girl ever. Now there are 2 Poms and I can just tell you I know how much effort goes into potty training, crate training, and behavior training! Being around that helped me realize the difficulties and differences between each dog. And since going to college I have dog walked for a few pet owners and I recognize the importance of following pet parent's guidelines and instructions and want to bring that service to you! With the end of my college semester approaching my schedule opens up significantly. I work ~30 hours a week, as early as 5:30 and as late as 7:30, with each shift being around 6.5 hours. With this my schedule allows me more time to check on your furry family easier. I cannot host pets in my dorm as the rules don't allow it. But! I have 2 Poms and understand just how sneaky and fast all animals can be! I am dedicated to protecting your pet as my own.
“Highly recommend Ryan! He goes above and beyond. He is easy to communicate with, he is timely, and it is clear he cares about dogs. My dog is excited to walk with him and he always walks longer than the walk length. I fully trust Ryan with my dog.”

“Abby has been providing weekly walks for my pup when i have work in the office for the last 5 months and has been fabulous! She’s an excellent communicator and will always send pictures with the sweetest little summary of the walk every time, which brightens my day at work. And my dog absolutely loves her. She’s the best and I totally trust my dog in her care.”

About: I recently graduated from grad school and am currently substitute teaching so I have lot of extra time during the week. I have 2 cats of my own and have experience with puppies and small dogs! I’m quite flexible with my time and am also a homebody so your pet will get a lot of attention. I will accommodate your feeding schedule as best as I can. I recently graduated from grad school and am job-hunting so I have lot of extra time during the week. I have 2 cats of my own and have experience with puppies and small dogs!

About: Hi! my name Juliana. As an experienced pet caretaker, I have the knowledge and skills that make me the perfect choice for taking care of your pet! I have taken care of both family and friend’s pets ( cats and dogs) and I understand the importance of providing attentive and loving care to make sure they are comfortable and happy. As a Dachshund owner myself, I know how important it is to follow routines and keep in mind specific needs. You can trust that I will provide your furry friend/child with the same level of care and attention that I give my own. Currently my schedule is limited because I don’t work from home, except for Fridays. Therefore, I’m available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for walks and drop ins. I can easy walk your dog and provide the exercise they need around the North Loop / Downtown Minneapolis area. For cat owners, I can provide visits to make sure food and litter are taken care of. Additionally, I volunteer at Minneapolis Animal Care & Control with both cats and dogs, which has helped me to understand behaviors and how to manage difficult situations.
“Charlie loves walking with Tracy. She has a calming and positive nature that helps with his high energy. He watches out the window for her. I really appreciate it, along with her flexibility with my schedule.”

About: I've been caring for neighborhood pets since I was 13, and now I’ve been all over the Minneapolis area! My family rescue dog and elderly cat are my babies, they make me the best temporary pet parent I can be for you. I lost one of my elderly cats rather suddenly this fall, so I can say I definitely understand the anxiety of being away from your pets especially those with health issues or behavior quirks. I do what I do because of her, and as a Minneapolis transplant away from my animals, I am more than happy to spend time with yours! I work part-time, though my hours fall in the 9-5 window. However, there is flexibility for me to work remotely for part or sometimes full days with advance notice, depending on the project. I can usually accommodate whatever exercise your pet needs! I am also a dancer, so if your dog has acute health issues or requires constant supervision, we may not be the best fit, as training does require me to be out of the house in the evening. No 4-hour rehearsals right now, but I do take class most days of the week. I'll do my best to stick to a comfortable, consistent routine for your pet and make sure they get all the proper attention and love they need while you are gone. I'm happy to accommodate any medication or feeding requirements.

She is truly a member of our family and we always feel bad leaving her behind when we go out of town and Robert did a wonderful job sending pictures and videos to let us know how she is doing. Would definitely recommend Robert and plan on using him again in the future.”

“Jessie was great! She watched my two dogs Violet and Kala and they had a great time and got lots of snuggles. She gave me updates and pictures everyday which really helped put me at ease while I was away.”

“Catherine was excellent with our dog Misiu! She was incredibly attentive, and sent lots of photos and videos throughout our vacation. She allowed him to snuggle with her in bed, which he’s used to. That was very much appreciated. We will definitely rebook with Catherine. Misiu was a happy boy the entire time, we weren’t missed 😆”

“Timmothy was fantastic and took great care of our pup! We appreciated his great communication and daily updates. We would definitely book with him again. Thank you!!”

“J is the best! Super communicative and really loves my pup. I can tell my dog is happy in the photos he sends and when I pick him up! So grateful to have found J!”

“Nicole and David (and the rest of their family) were absolutely amazing! They were able to take care of our Coop on super short notice and were super flexible and communicative! Cooper came back so happy and tired from all the love and playing and we can’t wait to have him go back! Thanks so much!”

“I don’t truly think I could have left my pup, Coti, with a better person. I had to urgently run home for a few weeks to help my family and she was so accommodating, responded quickly, and sent me daily updates. Coti experienced some extra issues during his stay (probably because he’s just anxious in his nature) and Celia took such good care of him, picking up and cooking him chicken and rice so he would feel better and keeping me in the loop. I am very grateful for the peace of mind she gave me and I know Coti loved his stay. Thank you Celia!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Lydia. Our two pups felt so safe and loved in her home and made so many new pup friends. Lydia sent great photos and updates each day to help us stay in touch. They can’t wait to go back! ❤️”

“Hannah is amazing! We've left our girl with her twice now, and she took really good care of her and adapted to her needs for 100%! Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back ❤️”
