About: I love having dog friends around and so does my little dog Boo Boo. My dog is 17lbs and loves to play. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks or brushing up on any training that needs to be done. I typically walk my dog 3 times a day and can accomodate more if needed. I also have a fenced in backyard that your dog is welcome to roam around in. I live 10 minutes from the airport which helps for easy drop off/pickup if you are traveling by plane. I know how special our dog friends are so I hope to treat them like part of the family when they are here. Dogs are such special little creatures and I'm so grateful we get to have them in our lives. I currently work at home 3 days a week and in the office 2 days a week. Adjustments can possibly be made if needed. If I'm watching your dog, I would plan to be home most of the time during their stay. I have a fenced yard and dogs are allowed to roam free in the house unless other needs are required. If your dog needs to be crated, I have a small kennel that can be used, otherwise a larger one will need to be provided. Dogs are expected to be potty trained unless they are still a puppy.

About: I grew up with dogs and they are truly my heart and soul. We currently have 2 dogs 2 cats, (although one dog is a part time since they follow shared custody with the teens). We would absolutely love to take in your dog. We both work from home so they would get plenty of loving and attention! I work from home full time, along with my partner who also works from home; so honestly I'm very open. Our own dogs generally are taken out about every 3 hours regardless if they go potty or not. The animals have free range of the house (minus our bed) 😊 I do have a yard, although its not fenced, we have a track or a ground post if your worried about them running away while being outside. We also love to take walks. If they stay close and listen well, I generally stay outside with them. I can easily crate your dog if needed.

About: Hi, I'm Caitlin! Being a pet parent is special, and I genuinely understand what it means to trust someone with your pet. I lost my 15-year-old dog last year, and that kind of loss changes how you see pet care, and it's exactly why I take this seriously. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. If you want someone who treats your pets the way you would, please send me a message! I'm currently in between jobs, which means I have maximum flexibility for mid-day walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I only confirm stays I can genuinely support. I build the routine around the pet to the best of my ability. I'll ask you what your animal's schedule looks like at home and do my best to mirror it. I know consistency matters! I treat communication as part of the service. You won't wonder how your pet is doing. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you in advance about their routine (feeding schedule, walk preferences, any quirks or triggers) and I follow it to the best of my ability. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.

Whether your pup likes to stop and sniff every inch of the sidewalk or prefers a brisk, energetic stride, I walk at their pace because a great walk isn’t about the distance, it’s about the experience. I’m comfortable walking multiple dogs at a time, making sure every single one enjoys their walk, gets the attention they deserve and takes care of their business. From the energy of a curious puppy to the gentle needs of a senior dog, I understand that every stage of life comes with its own needs and I embrace all of them with patience and care. But it doesn’t stop at the leash. I genuinely love spending quality time with dogs, whether that’s a relaxed afternoon cuddle on the couch or an enthusiastic play session with their favorite toys. I take the time to learn what makes each dog feel happy, safe, and loved. When you book with me, you’re not just hiring a dog walker or pet sitter. You’re giving your dog their favorite part of the day and honestly, mine too. I’m happy to work around your routine and adjust my schedule to meet your dog’s needs because your peace of mind matters just as much as their happiness. Whether your dog is most comfortable in their own home or joining me at mine, they will always receive the same attentive, personalized care. At my place, they are welcomed into a calm, quiet home with a fully fenced yard and a friendly 5 year old 25lb Australian Labradoodle who loves making new friends. Your dog’s comfort and happiness always comes first, wherever that may be.

“Ashlie and her family was able to take care of my giant baby for a week. It was his first time away from me and I was worried as well. But as Ashlie shared updates everyday it helped me feeling relieved and I could enjoy my time away from home. They have a big fenced yard and a senior dog which I felt was a good experience for my puppy as he was afraid of older dogs before meeting him. I could see them cuddling in the pictures and I feel he really enjoyed his stay with them.”
