About: Your baby or babies are in great hands with us! I'm an animal lover with a history of helping people take care of their fur babies. I am also more than willing and able to pick up your baby or babies if you'd like. I've had dogs and/or cats most of my life. My friends and neighbors have regularly trusted me to take care of their fur babies of varying ages, breeds, species and needs for many years. One even had 2 cats, 2 dogs and a ferret. I have about 5 years of experience fostering puppies, with the biggest litter being 5 pups and the youngest being 3 weeks. I love animals and enjoy having fun and playing with them at home, as well as walking them and going to the dog park so they can socialize and run and play with other dogs. I have administered meds both orally and by injection to both dogs and cats. I've also had a cat once that I nursed, because he was about a week old when I got him and kept him. I currently have a full time job, usually working 8-9 hours a day 4 days a week, but my partner is available to be here on days I'm at work while I transition to dog sitting full time. I have a fenced yard and a dog at home that's sweet and gets along well with other dogs. I have plenty of room to run around and play inside also. My pup has lots of toys and is good about sharing them. She's not food aggressive. We enjoy going for walks and do our best to go to the dog park every day for extra exercise and socializing. I know how to give medicine orally and by injection as I have done both in the past.

About: I was introduced to my first kitty at 5 months old, she became my second sister and we grew up together. I have loved all cats since that first interaction, and simply the presence of a happy cat brings me joy. My second kitty had cancer and needed a caretaker post-surgery, so I have experience in cones, medication, and post-op care. About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. I work from home most days in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, with 1–2 days a week in the office. On home days I'm available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and check-ins. On office days, your pup will still get a solid morning and evening routine, and plenty of company once I'm back. There's no private yard, but there's a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I've been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home a lot and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! One or two days a week, I have to be at the office; I'll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled before I go. On Saturdays, I'm less flexible for check-in and check-out, since I'm away in the morning for volunteer work. I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

About: Our family said goodbye to our 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Lou, and we are ready to open our home to our neighbor's pups for love and attention while you're away! Britt grew up with lots of dogs (and cats), and the whole family has experience caring for animals at all ages. Both Britt and Mike work from home full time, and are able to care for pets throughout the day and night. Our three children are in school and preschool in the neighborhood during the week, giving us several opportunities to go on daily walks. We have a large, fenced in backyard for dogs and our children to share. We do not require dogs to be crated at night or when we are away for short amounts of time. We do have a medium crate if their normal routine includes crating during short times alone at home. Our children are used to being around animals and know how to be gentle and respectful of space.

About: I’ve taken care of many different pets my whole life, I grew up with many different pets in my family. I currently have a well trained pet of my own, my friends and family come to me when they are in need of a sitter. I’m currently a part time college student, so I only go to class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with my remaining time out of school, I have plenty of time to play and hangout with pets! I do not have a fully fenced yard but I do have a gated area on the side of my house. The gated area is big enough for dogs to run and play! About: We LOVE dogs and have a city sized house full of people that love giving them attention! We have 2 school age children but are home full time in the summer with a good sized fenced backyard and our own friendly pups, Oli and Lulu. We go back to our full-time jobs as educators on August 25, so our calendar reflects our school year availability (mostly weekends and some school breaks!) I (Kara) grew up always having a dog in the family, and as soon as I could, I acquired one of my own. I've learned that dogs need people, but people need dogs just as much. All this to say, we can't imagine a world without these furry little companions! With many attentive people in our household, your dog will never have needs unmet. Whether it be snuggles, toys, pets, walks, playtimes, food... be assured we can handle it! We can't wait to meet your dog! We both work in education, so our summers are very open & flexible and offer so many opportunities for dog walks, dog parks, pet cuddles, etc. Once the school year starts, our calendar reflects our weekend and school break availability! We have a fenced back yard and get on many outings with our own high energy dog. We do on long walks daily and often to the off leash dog park (if your dog is licensed in Minneapolis). I’m very active and happy to take your high energy pup for long walks (or even runs!) or just cuddle up with your couch potato. I also have extensive personal experience with cats. I have two kittens and have cat sat for friends and neighbors since I was in middle school. No matter how velcro-y or aloof your babies are Id love to keep them happy and healthy. Beyond dogs and cats I have owned (or cared for extensively) birds (cockatiels), reptiles and amphibians (bearded dragons & painted turtles), pocket pets (hamsters, guinea pigs & rabbits), freshwater fish, and horses! My wide expanse of knowledge means even if I haven’t cared for your exact critter yet I’m confident I’ll be able to pick up any new information easily and will make sure they are well cared for. No critter will scare me away! PLEASE NOTE: At this time I am not looking for any new regularly repeating weekly drop ins/walks, so if you’re looking for a new daily walker I’m probably not your best choice, however if you need the odd occasional visit, a sitter while you’re out of town, a sub for the week, or something similar I’d be happy to help! I work from home which grants me a lot of flexibility during the morning and day for walks or drop ins. My evenings can get a bit busy but with enough notice I can absolutely work in further care as well. I’ll be sure to adhere strictly to any instructions you give me. About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.

I genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of pets and love learning about new animals, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a more unique pet! I’m especially comfortable reading canine body language, working with dogs who may be anxious, and adjusting my approach to fit each dog’s personality. I’m happy to care for dogs of all ages, although I know puppies can require a little extra time and attention. Whether your pet simply needs some company, regular potty breaks, and a little TLC, or you’d like someone to keep them active and entertained, I’m happy to accommodate their routine. I love having fun with animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have plenty of experience with my own pets, including my Australian Shepherd, Winnie; Great Dane, Reuben; Maine Coon, Juneau; and Manx cat, Turkey. I’ve also had plenty of experience caring for guinea pigs through my rescue and previous personal pets. Although cats may be very different from dogs, I have just as much experience and intuition when it comes to caring for them. Having two cats of my own, I understand how much their personalities and needs can vary, and I’m comfortable giving them the patience, space, and attention they need to feel comfortable. If your dog is friendly with other dogs, I’d also love to bring my Great Dane, Reuben, along for overnight bookings. He would be thrilled to have a new friend to play with and keep company! I’m excited to get to know you and your pet and would love the opportunity to help care for them. Please feel free to request me anytime, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! Your booking is priority one, and is always completed before other work is done. If you are requesting house sitting, I’ll be with your pet until I have to leave to briefly care for my own pets. If your dog is well behaved, I would have no problem bringing them along with me when I run around town. If you are requesting drop in visits or dog walking, I will be able to attend your home whenever you book me. I’m available throughout the day, up until 10pm. I will be sure your pet is always in sight when going outside, or always on a leash if you do not have a fenced yard. I will take precautions to make sure your animals do not escape when I am entering or exiting the house by being aware of their presence when opening or shutting doors, or making sure to block their potential exits when I am entering or exiting. I will be sure to secure any cages, kennels or enclosures, along with your residence when I leave for any reason, assuring neither your pet will be safe while alone while also not getting into mischief.
