About: I’ve taken care of many different pets my whole life, I grew up with many different pets in my family. I currently have a well trained pet of my own, my friends and family come to me when they are in need of a sitter. I’m currently a part time college student, so I only go to class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with my remaining time out of school, I have plenty of time to play and hangout with pets! I do not have a fully fenced yard but I do have a gated area on the side of my house. The gated area is big enough for dogs to run and play! I also have a small dog of my own to keep other dogs entertained!

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. Working from home in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, I’m available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and checkins. There’s no private yard, but there’s a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for some outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience and can care for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I have been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home constantly and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! I work from home most days, so I’m available all day for the pups, extra potty breaks, daytime and evening walks, play, and companionship. Once every two weeks, I may be out for a few hours at the office. I’ll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled. On Saturdays, I’m less flexible for check-in and check-out due to volunteer work (away for half the day). I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

My home has a fenced in backyard with a kiddy pool for them to run around in, a walking trail down the street, and a dog park nearby! I provide daily walks to the local park or trips to the dog park so they are well exercised and socialized while you are away. There is amble space for the dogs to play in the house (no crates are provided) with toys to plays with and treats! “Our puppy, Duck, was truly lucky when Dustin so graciously agreed to care for him while we were on a recent ski trip. Dustin was extremely responsive to our messages/questions. And, most importantly, he was calm, gentle, and patient with Duck (and all his puppy tendencies). From the photos and videos Dustin sent me, we could tell that Duck got along with Sophie and that he was comfortable and treated exceptionally well. Thank you, Dustin and Sophie for taking such good care of our furry friend for a few days. We hope we can call on you again in the future.”
“Robert was the BEST Rover we have ever had!!! “Sarah was great! She was able to watch Diesel within a VERY short notice from another sitter. (Diesel is not neutered and wanted to make babies with her dog) sarah arranged to pick up Diesel and took care of him. He was walked and could tell he had a good time because when we got him home he sprawled onto the floor tired lol. She took him on walks, played catch, cuddles and told me about his eating/bowel movements. She also sent pics while he was with her! I will definitely book with her again!”
