“Maria and her Family are the best. It was Leias first stay with Maria but definitely not the last. Maria kept us posted with daily pictures and updates, did care wonderfully for Leia who had some issues with itching when we dropped her off. Thanks to Maria’s great care, Leia was fine within a few days. Extremely responsive and just a joy to have found such a responsible sitter. Thank you, Maria!”

“Wow. What can I say. We were blown away by Emily’s kindness. She is the ultimate dog mom, sweet and caring. We took the longest trip we’ve ever taken away from our pup (miniature dachshund). Emily set up a meet and greet so our pup could meet her lovely dogs. Emily asked a ton of questions to get to know our dog. Which made me feel so much better. The meet & greet went great and meeting Emily put all my fears of leaving our pup aside. I knew our pup would be well loved and cared for and boy was she ever! We received daily updates, photos and videos. It was so nice to see her while we were so far away. Knowing she was being spoiled while we were across the world made our trip that much more enjoyable. As you all know, leaving a pup is like leaving a child. I never once worried about her. If you are looking for a loving, caring sitter for your pup, Emily is your gal. We plan to use her for our dog sitter as long as she’s willing. We are so lucky we found her!! Thank you so much, Emily!!!”

About: I’ve had 4 dogs that I trained with assistance from a professional. I’m home a lot and by a lake. I walk friends dogs too. I work every other week and even when I do work it’s short hours so your loved ones get outside frequently or have me around. My surroundings are pet friendly and there is a small unfenced yard for potty breaks. The neighborhood is quiet too, if you have an anxious little one. I am patient and love dogs and look forward to getting to know your loved ones.
About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. About: I have enjoyed taking care of all sorts of animals and owning a wide variety throughout the years. I am available every weekend for sitting at all hours. During the week I work from home full time between 9-6pm. I can offer bathroom breaks as needed. I take care to avoid getting too close to other dogs on walks and keep a very close watch on the animal behavior during playtime and in the dog park.

“Tyler will continue to be my go to dog walker when I need help getting my 2 dogs their daily exercise. My pups are spoiled with daily outings , and dog park trips - we usually average 6-8 miles per day but often hit 10-12 miles once or twice every week…. with Tyler, I have peace of mind and confidence that my dogs will get a walk and the type of exercise they are accustomed to. They always return content , satisfied and most importantly exhausted! Thanks again Tyler!”

About: I’m an Animal Science graduate and I train service dogs with Can Do Canines, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs in different environments and understanding their behavior and needs. I’ve worked with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m very attentive to body language and routines, and I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I also grew up with dogs and have hands-on experience raising and training my own family pets—including a feisty dachshund puppy who I helped train into a gentle, well-behaved dog, along with two other dogs with strong obedience and great temperaments. My background means I naturally reinforce good habits, use positive reinforcement, and keep things consistent with what your pet already knows. I truly love spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention and cuddles. After graduating from UMN, I’ll be working part-time at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville (around 20 hours per week). My schedule varies slightly week to week, but this also gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Outside of my shifts, I have a wide availability and love filling my time caring for pets. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended stays. I currently provide care in clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always take the time to learn your pet’s schedule, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Safety is my top priority. I’m very attentive to surroundings on walks and in the home, and always monitor pets closely. With my background training service dogs, I’m confident handling a variety of behaviors and situations calmly and responsibly. I also have experience administering medications, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions when needed. I respect your home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and communicate as much as you’d like so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“We hired Eleni to walk our dog, Bowser, while we were out of town and the friend watching him at night worked all day. When we discovered an 8 week old puppy under a car days before our trip, we scrambled on what to do. Eleni was more than happy to add her to the booking and spend extra time with her after the daily walks. The photos and updates were great, and we will definitely hire Eleni again in the future!”

“Kayla was a life saver for me this past week! I typically work from home but was traveling for work - so Kayla came over during the workdays to take Barley for a walk. She was flexible, responsive, and loving towards my two-year-old golden. She even offered to bring Barley a raincoat when it was raining one day the days! I will definitely be using Kayla again on my next work trip!”

About: I grew up with dogs and love spending time with them. I’m excited to give your dog a safe space and play with them! I don’t currently have a pet of my own so I love dog sitting. Flexible during each day of the week and flexible during work hours as well. Please give notice when scheduling or canceling a time with me. I live in an apartment with a lot of green space and parks around. Plenty of dog friendly walking. I’m comfortable adjusting to your homes environment as well to ensure the dogs needs are met.
“Jenna does a wonderful job with my greyhound Roo! She is attentive to her needs and reports concerns whenever she has them. She even has Roo trying to take me on her longer walking routes! I'm thrilled to have her support in caring for my sweet pup.”

“Madisen has been so wonderful with my dogs! I trust her completely to take great care of them. She keeps me updated and sends lots of adorable photos too. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

About: Hi! I’m Steph — a full-time pet caregiver through Rover and the heart behind a growing pet photography business. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 13 and have experience with all kinds of animals, from high-energy pups to quiet companions. I share my life with my dog Scooby, who’s a big lovebug and gets along great with both people and other animals, and two leopard geckos, Helios and Haku, who each have their own little quirks and charm. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have hands-on experience with pet nutrition and wellness—I've worked with a variety of healthy foods, natural supplements, and holistic care routines. I’m great at picking up on subtle signs when something’s off and take pet health seriously. Whether we’re playing fetch, going for a walk, or just snuggling on the couch, I’m all about creating a calm, loving environment where your pet feels safe and cared for. I tailor my care to each animal’s unique personality and needs, and I always follow your instructions to a T—because your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s happiness. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels loved, understood, and completely at ease while you’re away. I am very flexible with my schedule so please feel free to send me a request or a direct message to sent up an appointment! I have worked with certified fear free trainers as well as being a groomer for 3 years now I am very aware of animal body language and how to meet their needs so they feel safe in their environment. I do have a dachshund mix named Scooby that is incredibly friendly with Small to XL dogs. She’s always up for having a play date!
About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.
About: I have cared for animals since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have asked me to petsit, walk, bath and help care for their animals. I can care for puppies/kittens to seniors and everyone in-between. I rely on positive reinforcement for training. I can administer medications, trim nails and other care required. I have worked as a Vet Tech and currently I am in school to become a certified Vet Tech. I am currently in school with mostly online classes so I can seamlessly accommodate your pets care. I will send daily updates and/or photos if requested. I care for your pets from the comfort of your home giving you piece of mind while traveling while your pet will be less stressed.
“Highly recommend! Although our dog was nervous at first, Nate spent extra time getting our puppy to trust him. They had a wonderful walk together. We would book again!”

About: I have 23 years of pet ownership experience (cats, reptiles, and a simple fish tank). I also have a bit of volunteer experience training service dogs and have taken care of friends' pets while they're away. I work my other job from home and determine my own hours, so my schedule is generally very flexible. I have a weekday evening commitment a couple times a week, but I can easily work around that two hour block of time. I love animals and will do everything I can to take care of yours as if they're my own. Let's discuss medical needs before booking, and I will make sure I have your vet's information in case of emergencies. I require a meet & greet for first time bookings. This is a complimentary visit to meet your animals, learn the routines, and ask each other any questions we need to make sure they get the best care.

“Andrew was AWESOME! My puppy, Stanleym just turned a year old. He's a golden retriever. He loved Andrew's house and stayed there for 1 whole week. Andrew has an excellent setup for dogs. He is very organized and professional. As soon as we arrived, he greeted Stanley with lots of positivity. My pup seemed at home right away. We first toured the backyard, where Stanley was able to sniff and explore. Then we went inside to the "transition room" where Andrew uses this room to clean off paws before entering his house. His house is very clean too. Andrew had a questionnaire that he used to ask specific questions about Stanley. I liked that he took the time to ask about Stanley's routine, etc. Andrew asked before I made this reservation if it would be OK if he dogsit other dogs during Stanley's stay. I said YES. Stanley absolutely loved the socialization. Andrew sent me tons of videos and pictures of Stanley playing with the other pups. What a great experience for Stanley! The best part of the stay was that Stanley was able to sleep in the bed just like he does at home. I will DEFINETELY be using Andrew again to watch Stanley. Highly recommend!”

“Our pug LOVED his 4-day stay with Brenda and her family! Our little guy got along great with her two pit bulls and really bonded with their little boy. The dogs played and ran together in the fenced in yard. Our pug came home happy and ready to nap. Each day, I received a couple of photos with a brief update which I appreciated. This was a short-notice booking, and I am so grateful that Brenda was available. We will definitely arrange dog-sitting with Brenda in the future.”

“Jessie was great! She watched my two dogs Violet and Kala and they had a great time and got lots of snuggles. She gave me updates and pictures everyday which really helped put me at ease while I was away.”

“Kourage had a wonderful time with Lynnea. They were so sweet & kind to him and went well above & beyond to love on him like he were their own while during the stay. We will ABSOLUTELY be booking with Lynnea again.”
