About: I am a huge dog lover<3 Caring for them is so rewarding for me. Learning their unique personalities and daily routines brings so much joy! I have cared for two Bichons for the past seventeen years. Since they both have now crossed over the rainbow bridge I am looking for a way to help others out... whether it is to take their dog for a walk during the week while they are at work or to care for them while their owners are traveling. I am mature and responsible... caring and loving your dog as much as you do. I have a special place in my heart for Senior dogs... my senior Bichon gave me so much love and caring experiences to share with others<3

About: Lifelong animal experience – I’ve cared for animals my entire life, not just as a job but as a way of life. • Real dog-owner perspective – With 2 dogs of my own, I understand routines, energy levels, training reinforcement, and emotional needs. • Calm, patient care – Great for shy, anxious, senior, or high-energy dogs who need consistency and understanding. • Individualized attention – I don’t do “one-size-fits-all” care. Walks, play, feeding, and downtime are tailored to your dog. • Trust & reliability – I show up on time, follow instructions closely, and communicate clearly so you can relax while you’re away. • Home-style love – Your dog is treated like family, not a booking. Your furry friend will get the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! Dog Boarding (In My Home – Female Dogs Only) For the safety and comfort of all pets in my care, I only board female dogs. My Australian Shepherd has a strong personality, and keeping our home harmonious means I cannot accept male dogs. Female pups are always welcome, and they’ll receive lots of love, playtime, and cuddles in a safe, home environment. I work full-time from 8–5, but I’m happy to stop by during my lunch break for local drop-ins to take your sweet guy or girl out for a potty break, walk, or some love. I’m available after 5 PM, all day on Wednesdays, and all weekends. I’m reliable, flexible, and always happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. I care for pets with patience, consistency, and lots of love—whether in my home or yours. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, play, and downtime. Safety and comfort always come first, and I make sure pets get individual attention, affection, and enrichment. In your home, I respect your space while ensuring your pet feels secure and relaxed in their familiar environment. I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every pet as if they were my own.

“Grace was kind and generous with our cat Patches. He appreciated the extra pets and human contact while his favorite person was away. Being able to stay in his home to look out his favorite window and sit on his favorite blanket has been a nice change from his traditional boarding. The stay home option would not be available without our cat sitter! We appreciate you, Grace!”

About: My experience with cats runs deep, from maintaining pristine cat areas during my shelter volunteer work to previously caring for my own special needs cat who required specific aromatherapy and lighting adjustments for his comfort. As a working professional who's cared for various pets throughout my life, I'll ensure your cat receives attentive, personalized care while staying comfortable in their familiar home environment.
“Melissa was fantastic to work with! She was able to gain so much tryst from my cat, Sapphire, who is very shy and scared of people she doesn't know. She even went above and beyond to get my cat out of a small crawl space in our attic so she could get her medicine! Thank you so much Melissa!”

“Jodi was fabulous! We took the dogs on a short walk during our “meet and greet” and she asked many questions making sure the dogs’ needs were met. Communication was excellent and she took our dogs for a wonderful walk while in her care. We will use her again and highly recommend her services.”

“Buddy really enjoyed his time at Diane's-- She did an excellent job with him across the 4 days. She was communicative, sent photos and flexible with drop-off and pickup times. A perfect option for a few dog free days while visiting the Crosslake area. Will definitely reach out to her again!”

About: I've had a dog since I was five. We got her from a cabin up North who was not a breeder. From the moment we got her to the moment she passed, she was my puppy. I taught her all the tricks she knew, I walked her, I did everything with her. She was 15 years old when she passed two falls ago. My family now just got a puppy during Covid. Again, when I am living at home (not at school), she's my dog. My fiancé and I moved to Pequot Lakes in April 2023. We now have a Springer Spaniel puppy named Maverick, who will be 2 in April. I work in Crosby, but I am out the door early in the morning and typically back by 3:30 pm. I could do a really early morning visit, but the afternoon/evenings would fit my schedule better during the week. Otherwise, I work from home on Fridays and the weekends my schedule is more open. When I go for walks, I ALWAYS make sure I have poop bags with me as I hate when people don't pick up after their dogs. I'm not afraid to pick up after dogs!
“I was incredibly relieved to find it’s not male dogs my dog has issues with, it’s the dog. Her black lab is incredibly sweet and docile. My dog actually whined with excitement as we got close, the second day. She was super flexible with drop off times”
“Absolutely the best person to take care of my dog when I have to be away! So accommodating and kind!!! 100% recommended him to watch your fur baby! Bonus you get to see lots of cool animals!!!”

“Nancy was amazing for my Sadie! And what an angel of a human, went above and beyond for not only my dog but myself. Very early in the morning pushed my car out when I got stuck, and still let us come back 😅 Sadie was nice and tired each day when she came home which is exactly what I hope for! Would absolutely recommend Nancy for your pups.”

About: Hello! My name is Liz and I am a lover of animals of all kinds. They are the joy of my life. I have cared for pups since I was young. In my adult life, I adopted the most beautiful little pomeranian, my Remy. He was a senior dog when I adopted him and came with many special needs. I have experience with giving multiple medications, cooking speciality meals, and hand feeding 4 times/day. My little guy even had to be held and burped like a little baby! I am deeply caring, gentle, and warm with all animals. I love taking them on long walks, playing puzzle games and fetch, bringing them on stroller rides, swimming at the lake, and going for car ride adventures. I work very hard to keep my little fur babies engaged, joyfilled, and calm. After losing my little boy Remy in July, I would really appreciate being able to carry that love over to your own special furry, feathered, or scaly family member. It would be a joy for me to help care for your loved one. I am currently the most available that a person could be. Caring for your special family members is my job, and my passion. You name the day and time, I will make it happen. I have a wonderful little home in town with a large yard. I do not have a fenced in yard, however, I live right near miles of walking trails. My home is clean, calm, and welcoming, with lots of sunbathed, cozy places to nap. If you would like me to visit your loved one in your home, I will always be diligent about following house rules. I am respectful, courteous, and conscientious.
About: My family and I love pets! We would love to have your dog stay with us and enjoy all the comforts of home! We have children who are sure to give your pet loads of extra attention. I am a (mostly) stay-at-home mom! This means your pet will have near constant companionship while in our care. They will be loved, cared for, and treated as a member of the family. We have a fenced in yard and go for a lot of walks! Your pet will be hanging out with a family, not left alone in a kennel.
About: I've always had a connection to animals since childhood. My family had a small hobby farm growing up and I would spend my free time reading out by the chickens, batting a softball for my lab-spaniel mix to fetch or laying in the grass with my guinnea pig and rabbit. I volunteered with Adopt-A-Pet animal rescue for eight years in many capacities including foster mom. Besides pet sitting, I've also worked in the Petsmart grooming salon and have a grooming certification. I've worked as an animal caretaker on several organic farms and have the skills necessary to petsit animals considered farm animals. I have a calm demeanor about me which animals sense and quickly feel comfortable around me. I also have the patience it takes to work well with animals. I value good communication, honesty, diligence, punctuality and quality care.

About: Rised on a hobby farm so grew up with all sorts of animals. My very own puppy came to me when i was 12 years old and have had a fur baby pretty much since. Have had some training in puppy classes and obedience. Have work with Bark Busters of the Twin Cities. Over the last 6 plus years I have joined a pet service company based out of the Twin Cities who specialize in doggy day care, dog walks, pet sitting for vacation clients in their home and also in our home. Pets come first. Working from home gives us the flexibility to care for your pets 24/7. Plenty of exercise, play time and of course scratches and love time. When pets come into our home we treat them as if they are our own. Currently the big back yard is not fenced in, however that will be changing very soon. In the meantime we will be going on more walks and being outside with your pets on a leash. We have one furbaby, and he is definitely a spoiled baby. If for some reason our pets do not get along, we will have a separation for our pets to keep all safe and yet still make sure that your pet feels like they are at their 2nd home. We will customized your home habits as you request. Crated as needed or want by our clients.
About: I’ve worked with dogs for the past 7 years of my career. Have done dog sitting for the last 4 years. My current job is with animals. Can’t wait to meet your fur babies! I work full time but have one day off a week and have weekends off. Will stay in your house and can take them hiking or for walks. I prefer to care for your pets in your home where they are most comfortable in their environment. Take them for walks and play with them however they like.
About: Having spent my early years with our family dogs, I have come to an appreciation of the anxiety and work families go through in order to go on a trip without their beloved pets! Keeping your family pets in their own home reduces the stress on the family and the pet! We own a seasonal resort so we have limited availability for overnights June/July/August but are available for walking & attention throughout the day. Our resort is closed is mid-September through mid-May when we house-sit as well as care for our neighbors pets in their own home. Ideally we would like to meet the family and your pet before agreeing to home & pet sitting as we want a good match. Services offered: drop in care, pet walking, house sitting. Because we live in rural Minnesota, our fees reflect the additional transportation costs going to your home for services. When our seasonal resort is closed I am available most days and weekends. I have regular families on my schedule but only take one family reservation at a time. Prior to pet sitting in your home, I require meeting the owner and the pets. This will determine if we are a good match and the family can be confident your fur baby is well taken care.

What makes me different is how much I truly care about animals and how much I enjoy spending time with them. I always give pets lots of attention, patience, and kindness. I will create a safe, and trusting environment for your pet while providing tailored care specifically to your own pet. I want to provide a comfortable environment and build rapport with your pet. “This was the first time that we left our sweet puppy anywhere - let alone with a total stranger for several days! Grace is wonderful. She was kind, patient, and empathetic with both us & our dog. She listens well and is clearly devoted to providing great care. Her home is totally outfitted for dogs to be safe and comfortable. Thanks again Grace!”

“Krista was great! She was flexible and sent cute updates. Finn came home a relaxed, happy boy. It looked like he had so much fun with her dogs! I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a responsible, reliable sitter. We hope to have Finn stay with Krista every time we’re in the area!”

Hi! I’m Shelbie, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs and cats of all personalities. I live in a peaceful rural area with plenty of space for play, walks, and safe adventures. While I don’t have a yard yet, I live close to a dog park and provide plenty of walks, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and exercised.
