We ran into a few hiccups returning from the airport during bad winter weather and Chris was incredibly understanding. Yes, Chris made my experience very pleasant. Yet, most importantly after 9 days I came home to a happy, well adjusted puppy! This speaks for itself. As a Shorkie our puppy is sensitive to separation anxiety. Being with Chris she definitely got all the attention and love that is used to getting at home. I am so grateful for having peace of mind that our puppy is well taken care of while we are traveling. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I grew up on a large animal farm where we had bison for 20 years. I went to college at msu Mankato for animal science. In 2016 I started working at a boarding kennel and ever since I have found my life passion of working with dogs and cats. I have 4 dogs of my own on a hobby farm. I have two springer spaniels, my rescue dog that is a chow pit bull, and recently got a golden retriever puppy. I have also been grooming dogs professionally since 2018. About: Oh my gosh, where to even begin... :) I started and built, Girl Meets Dog Pet Care Services - Chicago, from 2000, through 2018 (I’m relatively new to doing this in the Rover route, so most of my reviews are posted on other sites), when I became too ill with Lyme Disease, and needed to move back to my hometown to be closer to my family until I became well enough to get back on my feet. Now, I have little home in Spicer, MN, with a big deck and a fenced in yard. I work from home (fashion reseller) so it's me and my big sweet Ni'ta Girl, a 9 year old 100 lbs. of Great Pyrenees sweetness), little Henry (dog loving little 4 year old Bichon-Shih Tzu), hanging around here all the time, so we've decided it's time some other sweet kids get to come soak up this perfect dog loving life with us! I so miss having a house filled with 'nieces and nephews' for me to dote on and spoil rotten, so, if your kid deserves to be treated like like true children (or even better than that, in my book ;)), then this is where they belong. I had clients that called it 'going to camp' when they were coming to stay with us (it's just me, and my fur kids here. Note: due to Nita’s senior age, we don’t take any ‘high energy’ doggos at this time, but all others are welcome!). Since I work from home, I am home with my dogs and kitty 95% of the time, so I am able to provide all the love and company to visitor kids they could possibly want. I do daily walks and have a fenced in yard. They own the place. I just live here and dote on them, basically. :) I am almost always here (at most I'm gone for a 4 hour stretch 2-3 times a week).

It was great to use Rover to find someone in Minnesota to watch our dogs while we had to attend for this. Monica asked questions before we came to MN, about one dog’s diet and health issues. One dog had pancreatitis in the past and we had to be careful what she can eat. Monica was very knowledgeable about those issues, and that was reassuring to me. If you require my services between 8-4pm, there’s a chance I might need to bring my kids with. While inside your home they can stay in their stroller - I won’t let them roam! But because of this I do request that your pets are kid-friendly during those hours. After 4pm I will be alone though! I’m able to care for your pets pretty much however you need - feeding, walking, playing, or some light training. I love when people leave me detailed instructions so I can do my best to treat your pets exactly as you would!

About: I work full time during the week. Monday- Thursday visits must be before or after work ** I have owned dogs and cats all my life, ranging from puppies to seniors. Currently, I have a dog and a cat, and I know how hard it can be leaving them when you go on vacation. But I love going for walks myself and feel comfortable administering medications when necessary, so know that your furry friend is in good hands. I am typically very available but would like at least a day or two's notice about needing pet care. I can also help with puppy training such as sit, stay, lay down, kennel up, and even high fives. These are just some of the tricks my dog knows as well. I have had multiple dogs of different breeds (mutts, Doberman, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Weimaraner, Huskies, etc). About: Since day one, I have always had a dog in my life. A cat in my adult years and a few other critters throughout the years. They are all family! All my dogs have always been a big part of my life and I care for them deeply. Family/Friends have trusted me to care for their pets when needed. I am always happy to lend a helping hand, or a lap to cuddle on, an arm to throw a ball, or even lacing up those tennis shoes for a walk. I currently have a “teenager” (6 year American Staffordshire Terrier… major cuddles, playful, very sensitive stomach) and recently our senior Luna past over the rainbow bridge. I am patient and have energy for any requirement you may need while your babies are in my care. Working from home, I am quite flexible most days. I am an early riser and stay up late. So feedings, playtime, bathroom breaks, etc is not an issue for me. We have 5 acres of unfenced land to run around in. I also have a very large fenced Garden the dogs are allowed to roam in for off leash fun, as well as a sizeable wrap around deck to chill on and soak up the sun. We are outdoor people, so are our dog(s), so if it’s nice, you will find us out and about. With our training they do well to stay within our property and listen well if running around the yard. Communicate if your dog(s) need to be leashed (also have a leash line setup between trees to enjoy the outdoors as well). I would hope in any environment that your pets are trained and do well in the space provided or within, please communicate any special concerns, etc. I do have experience with “shock” collars for more so the ‘tone’ button, as we have wildlife and woods surrounding our house, we use this to protect our dogs from our surroundings periodically throughout the year. So I am comfortable using this method to ensure your pups stay safe.

About: I’ve been around and caring for, all kinds of animals my entire life. Nearly all the animals in my life have been rescued, namingly, cats and dogs coming from all different walks of life. I have experience across the board with all different breeds, ages, needs and disabilities when it comes to both cats and dogs. I love interacting with new dogs (and breeds) and I find it hard not to pet a new kitty! I have experience issuing medications, treats, or dealing with wound care if needed, crating, scheduling for behaviors ie: potty breaks, walks, etc.. I love to hike and walk, so taking your dog (or cat) for a walk is right up my alley, weather permitting per owner preferences. Right now, I am a full-time psychology student and I can work from any location. My two cats are strictly indoors. However, my dogs are crated indoors when in suits (they are large dogs). We live in town, whenever they are taken outdoors, they are taken on a leash and when they are taken for a walk, they are also taken by a leash. Both dogs are seniors and prefer the indoors, so they’re mostly house dogs at this point. We have an upstairs and a downstairs in our home. Since our dogs are getting older, we now have dog beds placed in multiple places, since the stairs are getting difficult. As for the cats, they have multiple cat trees, several toys, multiple cat boxes and more than one eating station throughout the house! They may be pets but they are family!
About: I am well-equipped to care for dogs with unique needs, such as anxiety, special diets, and daily medication. Senior dogs in need of special care. I currently have availability Monday-Sunday. I currently work for a salon as an esthetician part time but I am pretty flexible for the most part. My services include playtime, walks, and complimentary treats for your dogs. Medication administration if needed, Exercise is essential in my care for younger aged dogs, as well as dogs that require special diets.
About: I can provide a safe quiet home for your pet to visit when you’re away. I work from home and spend the days with our almost 8 year old boxer mix, Aggie. We love taking walks to the park near our home and we have a small fenced in back yard with a privacy fence. Aggie gets along with almost every dog and will sometimes play. She can be pretty vocal when she plays but is otherwise super quiet. She’s a great role model for younger dogs :) I work from home so I am usually home with the pets for most of the day. We take daily walks when the weather is good. We have a large dog crate if your dog needs. Our yard is fenced in and dogs wouldn’t usually be home alone for more than a few hours.
About: I have walked, cleaned kennels, bathed my parents dog after he rolled in... well, 'something'... but he was very stinky and now clean and much better smelling! Have plenty of experience with kittens and cats! As well as animals with disabilities. I was recently laid off from my job so I have nothing to do but care for any and all pets 24/7 because I have disabled cats that need help every day. I have a nice big yard for the dogs to run/play and such. As for cats I have a poarch area that is enclosed so if they dont get along with other cats they will have their own space away to be as comfortable as they can be.
About: I’ve had family pets as long as I can remember, cats and dogs. Currently have the chillest cat I’ve ever seen. The whole family loves animals. I work as a teacher. Weekends are always open. Summer is completely open, home anytime. Great yard for animals to play, no backyard neighbors either 1/2 acre yard. I have a clean and orderly home to easily let pets feel not threatened or overwhelmed. Big back yard and trails, sidewalks to get out on. Park across the street as well. Quiet, secluded neighborhood.
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life! I treat my cats like they are my children and I would do anything for them! I would take care of your fur babies as if they were my own! I also love dogs, I've had many dogs in my family growing up. I don't have the living space needed for a dog while living in an apartment. I would definitely have one if I were able! That's a big reason why you should let me pet sit for you! My availability is pretty open right now. I want to do a little something on the side besides other projects that I'm working on. They say that if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life! Pets definitely make me the happiest!! I like to keep the living space clean and sanitized, I clean litter boxes every day. I pick up poop while on dog walks. Also, while dog walking, if there's another dog near and the you're dog seems uncomfortable or threatened, I would move to the other side of the street or walk the other way to remove ourselves from the situation. Most animals, if not all, trust and love me back!

Dogs are wonderful creatures that deserve proper love and attention integrated into their family life. I have experience with successful training of my own dog's basic obedience skills (sit, stay, heel, eat, touch, shake, etc). Have taken care of many other dogs, reptiles, and fish for people in my life. I am especially interested in helping reactive dogs or dogs with behavioral issues. I work freelance so I set my own schedule for the most part. Completely flexible for clients needs. About: I have owned dogs for approximately 20 years. I have raised 3 mini schnauzer’s and a chocolate lab. House sat for a senior chihuahua and bulldozed with a bulldog. In 2016 I started working at a boarding kennel and ever since I have found my life passion of working with dogs and cats. I have 4 dogs of my own on a hobby farm. I have two springer spaniels, my rescue dog that is a chow pit bull, and recently got a golden retriever puppy. I have also been grooming dogs professionally since 2018.
