Our dog came home relaxed and happy, clearly Katrina took well care of him. Katrina's own down is similar in size and breed to our dog, so the possibility to a playmate during the sitting was a nice surprise. When my husband and I were married for 20 years, we decided every child should have a dog, so when our kids were 17, 14 and 11, we got an American Pit Bull Terrier, "Clarabelle". Our family loved that dog and worshipped the ground she walked on. We had her since was 6 weeks old. She lived a great life. Unfortunately, we had to put her down when she was 2 months short of 14 years old. I work hybrid remote/ in-office so I have plenty of time for walks, the park, feeding, and potty breaks! I create my own schedule for work so I’m very flexible. I always pay very careful attention to your dogs. I understand they are your best friend and I will give them the special attention I would expect from my own sitter.
About: Hello! My name is Jacque, I’m 25 years old, and I’m a nursing student at Oakland University. I’m also a licensed emergency medical technician (EMT). I grew up with a wide variety of animals in my life, including dogs, cats, birds, lizards, turtles, and horses. Having these experiences has made me very well-rounded in all aspects of owning a pet. We play such significant roles in our animals lives, so I try to make them feel just as significant in ours. There’s no better feeling than coming home to a dog that’s so excited to see you that they can’t contain their happiness so they start happy whining or they hold your arm in their mouth instead of their baby (their baby is what I refer to as their favorite toy). I’ve also found that there’s no better cure to anxiety than having a snuggly, purring cat lay on your chest. Pets are considered family members to me, so that’s how I treat them when I care for them. I’ve been pet sitting consistently since I was 15 or 16. I’ve worked with animals of all age ranges, dietary restrictions, and medical needs. I believe it’s important for both parties to feel comfortable with every interaction, so I like to meet with families and their pet(s) prior to caring for them. I also try to provide as much reassurance to the owner that their loved one is in good hands by sending many pictures and videos to update them on the status of their pet. I’m currently going to school full-time, so I only have availability part-time to take care of your pet, however I still have an open schedule. I consider walks to be a mandatory part of a dog’s day, so I always make sure they get a decent walk in. I’m someone who loves to have the animals up on the couch or in bed with me, but if that’s something that is not a part of your household, then I will respect it. I follow strict guidelines that you lay out for me, and I make sure to ask any questions that I’m unsure of.
About: I've owned and cared for dogs since I was 10 and have always had one or two dogs living in my house. I've raised several dogs and cared for them from puppy stages to their senior years. I've owned and cared for many breeds from golden retrievers to pitties, Chihuahuas and shepherds. I have never met a dog that hasn't become my friend. I run my own business in the evenings during the week but am available before 4pm during the weekdays and can be available all day on weekends. About: Dogs have been in my life since I was kid. My first dog, Bandit, was part-Akita and part- Dalmatian. Then I had Riley, a mixed mutt and rescue, for 14 years. I have dog sat for my neighbors as a kid, and recently dog sat for family and friends, including house sitting so the pups don't have to leave home. I give the best head scratches and can play a mean game of fetch and tug of war (try to beat me doggos). I have taken care of dogs with fenced yards and those without. When there's no fence, I keep the pups on a leash. I never let my own dogs go off leash. I will love your fur baby as if they were my own. I will play and walk, and in the event of fireworks or thunderstorms, I will provide cuddles and distract them with my favorite movie- Jurassic Park. It worked for Riley.
