We have very flexible schedules with lots of love and attention to spare. We can easily break away for walks and drop-ins. We live across from Eagle Lake with a large wraparound fully fenced-in yard overlooking 15 private forested acres with trails for leashed nature walks. We have oodles of experience walking, camping, hiking, swimming, and playing with dogs in all environments and elements. Crates and gates are available if your best friend needs their space, but everybody is allowed to make themselves at home. We have lots of cozy nooks and beds. We work to ensure smooth introductions. Our home is very dog-friendly but to that end, kept very clean. We do tick checks and our girls are always up to date with their vaccinations and preventative meds. JIC, we have reliable transportation and are not far from Michiana Veterinary Hospital. We are also able to drive to your preferred vet.

Allowing someone else to care for my dog in their home, was an uncomfortable concept to me. However, when I had a vacation scheduled, and my go-to dog boarding center was booked, Rover was the only option. Clara's name was mentioned to me by another Rover user who was not able to dog sit my exact dates needed. When I messaged Clara, she replied within 5 minutes saying "YES! I will take care of your dog." No questions asked. She lives about 30 minutes from where I am located in Kzoo, but trust me when I say she is worth the drive. “My last pet sitter canceled last minute and everything went to crap as my cat pepper "drama king screaming demon" needs medicine for his stomach and anxiety in his old age. Sonny took my black fur ball of rage and distrust and made sure he had his medicine and space as pepper can be a bit "much" she gave lots of pictures and updates and was available within 2 days of booking which I desperately needed. She also worked with me as my family trip had gotten derailed when our car broke down and was willing to watch him for a bit longer as we figured out how to get home. About: I've cared for both healthy cats and cats with underlying conditions. For 10 years I had a cat that was diabetic that I had to administer insulin to. My current cat is 15 and requires a lot of love and attention.My cat Mabel is a rescued kitten/ cat almost 16 years ago on Halloween night while coming home from work , about 4 cars ahead of me something went flying out the window . I was able to stop and pull over due to not having other cars behind me . It was very cold that night and the sun was just starting to set . I got out of my car and looked around for a few minutes but didn't see anything and I got ready to leave I hear faint cry and I turned and looked down into some tall weeds and there she was , this poor malnourished kitten crying for help . To make a long story short I got her home and the day my wife and I took her to vet . They kept her for 3 days running ivs into her . We able to come and after 3 days thinking she wasn't going make it. And here she is still with after such a traumatic start to her life . I am very grateful to have Mabel as my best friend and wouldn't trade for the world . I love you very much Mabel .

I have a 13-year-old black lab and used to have a 20-year-old cat that I have helped take care of since they were born! I am used to walking animals, giving them tons of attention, feeding them and I have experience giving medication to dogs and cats, as my dog had diabetes and my cat needed a shot every once in a while. I also have experience with smaller animals like bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters if needed. Hope to talk to you soon if you are interested! About: For several years I owned a Doggy B and B where the dogs were part of my family. There were no cages or crates which the owners really appreciated. They slept in bed with me, jumped and lounged on all the furniture, watched TV, ate plenty of homemade treats, went swimming in the pool and don't forget the car rides to the park and river. Every weekend I would shop for new, safe and tough toys. We celebrated holidays and birthdays with homemade pupcakes, presents and costumes. They also got a "report" card saying how their day was and what they did that day or weekend. There were lots of pictures taken and shared too. Areas and toys were thoroughly inspected each day to ensure a safe and fun playtime. I love pets! All kinds of them. Your pet will get my undivided attention. I bring toys & treats plus send lots of pictures while you're away. That way you can enjoy our pawty too. Since I can't have pets in my home, I'll come to your pet's home. I care for them like they are mine. Give them lots of pets, play with toys inside & outside, walk them on a leash several times a day, watch TV with them & most importantly, share the bed at night. I want your pet to feel comfortable & loved by me.
About: Boarding services: I have a pet friendly home with no children. We have one small doggo that loves other dogs and enjoys making new friends. I am currently working from home. I have been a dog owner for my entire life and grew up on a farm. Dog walking: I try to walk at least two miles with my doggo a day. I can include your best friend in the walk and walk them wherever I need to go. I have been a dog owner all of my life and love getting them out into the world. House sitting: I have house/dog sat for many people from 2 weeks to a weekend. I can also just check in on your doggo if needed. My dog loves to also come along if allowed to meet new friends.
About: I've lived around dogs for most my life, with a range of sizes and needs. From small Pugs who snore the night away to Great Danes who think they are still a puppy. Have a high energy pupper who needs someone to keep up no worries. Currently I work part time until August 19th when I go back to the classroom. About: Ive taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family since I was young and currently have 5 of my own! Three of which since they were babies and three rescues! I currently work 5 days a week, but my hours vary and can work around whatever you may need! For at stays at my house, my husband is usually home when I am not! I’m currently working part-time teaching dance to the youth between 4-9pm. This leaves my whole morning/afternoon open. About: I volunteer at a shelter almost weekly, so I have tons of experience with different dog breeds and knowledge of administering pills and eye/ear drops! I work part-time currently, so I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I can also check in on Saturday and Sunday depending on the time when I work! About: I have had a couple years experience in pet sitting. I started with family and then ventured out to family friends and so forth. My persian typically doesn’t like to be brushed but I have been able to keep him groomed.
About: I'm willing to go above and beyond to make sure your pet is being taken care of my someone who is going to treat them like they are their own. Right now I'm more then willing to work with any schedule that helps benefit us both. I'm willing to make a drive if that's what's needed. I treat the pet and the owners stuff as if it's everything. “When I came across Rover and what it was all about, I was positive that this would be a site I would never use. Allowing someone else to care for my dog in their home, was an uncomfortable concept to me. However, when I had a vacation scheduled, and my go-to dog boarding center was booked, Rover was the only option.
