“Despite a very exciting time in their household this delightful couple were babysitting dogs. They have a wonderful set up as far as large fenced yard with plenty of room for large dogs to run and play. A doggie door lets the dogs choose when they want outside time. Although the house rooms seem small for many large dogs around, their lovely hospitality seems to provide comfort. ChampE had a good stay and was well cared for. Thanks to you both. I will definitely use them again when I'm in the area.”
“What an amazing dog care experience with Karma and her family! From the moment I met them, I felt relieved and confident that Ginger and my JRT/Shepherd Mix puppy, Bhageera, would be in safe hands. I was already confident about Ginger, since he is calm and composed. But Bhageera is very energetic and, as a puppy and a working dog, he needs more than just a sitter. Karma and her family completely understood his needs and provided the perfect care while we were on our trip to Isle Royale. Since Isle Royale National Park does not allow pets, we had to find a pet sitter — and we were so lucky we did. As an added bonus, John, Karma’s husband, owns and operates the Isle Royale Queen ferry. What an amazing coincidence and what a wonderful family! Their Aussie Doodle, Max, became Bhageera’s buddy and gave him the stimulation and play he needed. Meanwhile, Ginger was able to relax in a quieter environment. Karma’s kids also helped care for the puppy and made him feel comfortable and loved. Overall, I am beyond happy. This was the perfect combination for our furry family, and we are so grateful for the care they provided while we crossed Lake Superior. We frequently visit the Keweenaw area during the summer and fall, and we will surely be seeking their help during our next visit. I would recommend Karma 100%.”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s cat every winter from December to March since he was young. I stay with him as long as I can every day — doing my homework with him in my lap, taking naps with him curled up by my feet, and eating dinner while watching him pace at my plate. I love cats so much, so I do my best to make them feel loved and cared for while their parents are away.

“We were in Houghton to visit Isle Royale. The issue was we were traveling in our RV with our 3-year-old Labrador and we didn't want to leave him alone for such a long day. We were lucky enough to find Rylie and I really can't say enough good things about her. She came over three times throughout the day to let our dog out, walk him, and spent time with him. Each time she sent us several new pictures and communicated wonderfully throughout the day. She allowed us to enjoy the day and not have to stress over our dog being watched and taking care of. If we're ever back in Houghton we will definitely use Rylie again!”
About: I rescued our first dog, Trigger, in 2012 with my husband. He came from an abusive and neglected household. He lived his best life with us, and I still miss him terribly. We then rescued our current dog, Zeus, in 2020. He is almost 5. I will make sure your pet gets all the attention and love they deserve! I work during the school year (8-3), but am off during the summer. I would be able to come after 3:00 if need be during the school year. I have a fenced in yard, and one dog that can be put in his room or basement if need be while watching another animal.

I also prefer a meet and greet to get to know each other and the animal(s). Then I have the owner walk me through their care routine and ask questions. Once I know the tasks for the job, I see if there is anything else I can do to make my client feel more comfortable. This includes providing frequent updates with pictures, and anything else needed for them to know their pet(s) are in good hands. About: I have owned dogs my whole life and more recently cats. I have experience with multiple breeds of dogs, both rescue and bread dogs, and different types of harnesses. I have been dog sitting and walking for six years now for varying amounts of time. I am a college student so my schedule is dependent on my classes and my on-campus job, but I can make my schedule fit around any pet care! needs. About: My Family and I have had dogs in the family for years and I have always had a big role in taking care of them from baths to playtime and food. In 2020 we then started raising puppies. We live in the country with a large fenced in backyard where your pets can safely play and get plenty of exercise. My husband also works from home so typically if I'm not home, he is! I generally am most free in the mornings and evenings for drop ins.
