When I dropped him off he was not stressed and when I picked him up he was not stressed (like he was from the overnight kennel test). My dog is a lil needed and needs medication twice a day for seizures. I can tell Cheyenne treated my dog well as if he was hers. First couple of days a waway, i text to check on him. Cheyenne provided daily photots and ensured me he was in good hands and to enjoy my vacation. Fully recommend her and I would use her again, if my dog wasn't too much trouble, lol. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities — from tiny puppies to giant breeds, energetic social butterflies to more reserved companions who prefer human company. I’ve been sitting informally for friends and family members for years and have cared for up to four animals in one household. Whether your furbaby loves long hikes or prefers being a cozy couch potato, I’m happy to match their energy and accommodate their needs. At home, I have a 15-year-old gecko, so I’m comfortable caring for animals of all kinds — furred, feathered, or scaled. Up until recently I also had a 15 year old pup, but it was with a heavy heart that my husband and I had to say goodbye to him this past fall. I also have 15 years of equine experience, including grooming, feeding, and mucking stalls, so I’m no stranger to hard work or getting a little messy when the job calls for it. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have hands on experience for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities! Growing up, my mom trained dogs professionally, which gave me early experience to dog behavior and proper pet care. Throughout high school, I regularly helped care for up to 10 dogs at a time, assisting with daily routines, exercise, feeding, and general care. I also grew up with a cat, and have always loved spending time with cats just as much as dogs. Whether it’s a walk, a drop in visit, or overnight care, I will treat your pet just like family and provide you with updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work full time Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM at the Community Mental Health in downtown Traverse City, but have some flexibility. I am available for dog walks and drop in visits for an hour any time between 12PM-2PM during the week. I am available from 5:30PM-11 PM Monday-Friday, and have open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with a beloved family member is a big decision, and I take it seriously. When caring for pets in their own home, I strive to keep their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines, or just spending quality time together, I know that consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their parents are away. I am always respectful of clients’ homes and will always follow care instructions carefully. I pay close attention to detail, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets, and communicate promptly if any concerns arise. My goal is to give you and your pet a stress free experience and peace of mind that comes from knowing they are being care for by someone dependable, attentive, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. Unfortunately my current lease does not allow pets. I am more than happy to work with you and figure out a schedule/plan that would fit your needs! While I am at a clients house I would stay in good communication with them. In the past, I have sent daily pet photos to the client and sending them updates whenever possible.
About: I have had animals since I was little and I have been watching my family and friends animals of and on for years. I have had puppies to senior dogs and cats. I'm currently working part time, and a online class. I can work with your animal Thursday after I get done working till Sunday. Maybe other days depending how close you are. I am a merchant mariner and work on a boat every other month, so when I’m home I’m able to fully dedicate my time to watch dogs and cater my schedule and needs to my clients.
