“Both dogs did very well with Thomas. I would book with him again. Very flexible with pick up and drop off. Beautiful house and yard. I felt like they would be safe there.”

About: I've cared for pets my whole life. As an adult I've cared for roommates pets, checked on pets for friends and family when they've been out of town, and I've fostered cats for friends and shelters. I've had interactions with a wide variety of dog breeds so I'm willing to work with any breeds and ages as long as they're ok with other animals. I've cared for a variety of cat breeds, also guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and a wide variety of fish. I'm pretty open to caring for any type of pets. I live in the country with woods and a creek around my property, but I don't have a fence. My backyard is like a meadow with milkweed and wildflowers with paths, and the front is more open and clear for dogs to run and play. The way it's set up, the trees and bushes make a fence like perimeter and I have been able to let dogs roam off leesh when we're outside, but if you know your dog is a runner, they can be tied out easily. I do live along an ATV trail so there is a good amount of ATV traffic on weekends, in case you're dog is bothered by them. I take my dog for walks (I bike with her too) along the ATV trail and never have issues with drivers. I have a 5 year old female Rottweiler German Shepherd mix (spayed) and a Mama cat and her 4 kittens that are fosters through the local shelter. They all get along well together, but can be kept separate from your pets if need be. Mama Kitty does swat and hiss with new dogs if they're too close to her babies. Prior to my current pets I had a male Shi-tzu and "barn kitten" cat that started adventuring with me in their older years. They'd hike, camp, and kayak with me. I included some pictures of them as well as my Delta Rae Dawn with some of her doggy buddies and my current foster kittens and their Mama. For those that travel to this area, you can camp on my property any time of year, as long as you don't mind rustic camping. I have a Travco camper that has 2 bunks, hammock, and bench seat space for an inflatable mattress (provide your own). Just ask for more details. I work from home, self-employed, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do have regular health care appointments every week, which takes me away for an hour or so, and have at home visits twice a week, but none of that should interfere. I'm in two choirs, so I'm away Tuesday and Thursday evenings for a few hours. So I am at my house the majority of the time. I live in the country in a trailer home (single size). I'm surrounded by woods but I have an ATV trail in front of my house and no fence. I would need a tether of some sort for dogs and have tethered and leash walked cats. I do have tethers and leashes for small dogs or cats. I don't use a kennel for my dog so I don't have any at my house, but am fine with using your dogs kennel in my house. I am able to separate my pets from your pets in my house, if there are any issues.

“Kendalyn did a great job with our two cats. They both needed oral medication (pills) and one needed an inhaler. She was very agreeable to learning how to use the inhaler. Our scaredy cat, Percy, who usually hides for everyone who’s not us actually came out to visit with her! She was very communicative and sent pictures as well with greatly eased my mind. I highly recommend her services.”

“Stephanie was not only very nice, but also knowledge & caring. I have 4 cats from 14 yrs to 3 yrs Everything I needed done during my 3 day absence was done exactly as I requested. She took extra time with my youngest, feral born cat that was hiding during her visits. I came home to clean litter boxes and fed cats. I just moved here from Idaho and when I tried to get a booking on Rover my information indicated that I wasn't living in Michigan. Because of that 2 other sitters declined my request. Stephanie messaged me regarding the discrepancy and once that wrong information (totally a mistake made by the Rover site) was resolved, she accepted my request.”

About: I've been taking care of pets for over 10 years. My own pets have been cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, horses, and most recently rabbits. Through these various pets I've learned to work through potty training issues, giving medications, getting older pets out and about for walks, and much more. I've also helped friends and family with their various pets. I have walked and taken care of dogs of all sizes and personalities, bathed cats that hated it with every fiber of their being, and even taken on the daunting tasks of brushing dogs teeth and clipping nails. Every pet family I work with is different and I enjoy working to find the what works for them. I currently have a hybrid schedule that often has me working from wherever I can set my laptop down.So whether your dog needs a quick walk or you need house-sitting for a week I can make it happen. When it comes to pet care I come to you. As long as you let me know your about your pet and their needs I'm happy to stick with normal routines to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. Whether that's putting on a fun dog movie for your cat or making sure your dog is securely in their kennel I want you and your pets to have the best experience possible.

“Excellent experience!!! Doug was able to accommodate our very short notice request to watch Philo and except an early morning drop off. Philo had a two week daily stay with Doug, he immediately connected with Doug and his dog Nico. Over the course of two weeks he found a great buddy with Nico and actually got excited to go see him in the morning. Doug is a very gentle, caring and knowledgeable pet lover/sitter who put our worries to rest with the very first visit. He provides not only the expected care but helped accommodate several other needs that we felt were above and beyond, he made a trip to store for food as well as ran Philo to a vet appointment. We are looking forward to having Doug care for Philo again when needed. It was just a great overall experience and HIGHLY!! recommend Doug’s services.”

“My young pup Stella spent the day in Lindsey's care. She sent updates and photos throughout the day. Stella was well-cared for and was one happy pup at the end of the day! Would definitely recommend.”

“Sara was awesome! My 3 month old puppy spent all day with her and had a great time! Sara is very communicative and conscientious, she sent me updates throughout the day and put me at ease as a new dog mom. Looking forward to many more visits to Sara’s house!”

About: I grew up with a beagle as a kid and he was loved up until the very end. I now have a beagle and lab. After undergrad, I began overnight sitting in my home for family friends. I have experience with small, medium, and large dog breeds including those with medical needs. I’ve had overnight stays up to 2 weeks and one experience of deskunking! 😅 I’m happy to walk, feed, play, and watch all dogs. I work full-time Monday through Friday. I am a lawyer, so there are some days when I need to be in person for my clients. However, I loved pet sitting so much while I was in college that I continue to do so now on a limited basis. I am available for mornings, afternoon lunch breaks, and anytime after 4 PM on weekdays. My weekends are pretty limited because we do enjoy to travel and to spend time with our friends and family. I’m available during the week early mornings, lunch time potty breaks, and after work on days I’m out of the home. Otherwise, I’m available more frequently on days I work from home. I am not accepting overnight pets in the home as I rent my current space and we have our two dogs on the lease only. I am happy to watch in client home, walk, or stay at your place!
