About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

About: I started my pet care journey as a dog walker at age 9, and have found great joy in pet sitting over the years. I got adorable photos every day and regular communication about all the fun he was having becoming a farm dog (lots of great exercise). This was a last minute booking but we could not have been luckier. Our dog is a very social one but also clingy to his main caretaker, and Margalina quickly because that person! We will definitely use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.”

About: I love all kinds of animals! I have a pointer/lab mix and mini dauschund of my own, and they are my tag alongs for all sorts of adventures! I also had a variety of frogs, lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs when I was growing up. Most notably, my bearded dragon Cricket who lived to be 16 years old! Additionally, I have experience pet-sitting and dog walking for family members as well as friends and neighbors. I have helped friends with their chickens and other farm animals as well! I also am working part time so I always be available and accommodating for any special requests/needs. About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

Wooded trails right beyond the house with a walking access to the dog beach at lake Leelanau was great. Bob has sent pictures of dogs having fun at the beach. Overall freedom for the dogs to walk in and out to the fenced backyard, being welcomed on the couch was such a loving & carrying environment and perfect solution for our Golder Retriever, we will be there again and again when in Traverse City area!”
About: I started my pet care journey as a dog walker at age 9, and have found great joy in pet sitting over the years. I’ve cared for pets of all sizes, ages and personalities, and now specialize in in-home boarding where your pets are treated like part of our family. My home offers fenced acreage for safe, supervised running and play, along with structured walks and trail runs for those who need a little extra. After playtime, there’s always a warm bed, or a cozy spot on the couch, waiting for naps and snuggles. With degrees in Wildlife Biology and Zoology, I bring not only a deep love for animals but also a professional understanding of their behavior, needs, and well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I split my regular work schedule with 3 wfh days each week. We are an early rising family who enjoy spending time on our homestead. We have several resident pets on the farm: 20 sheep, 2 mini donkeys, chickens and one beloved mutt. Our regular routine involves a 1 mi walk in the am and pm with lots of other opportunities throughout the day for supervised fresh air or playtime in one of our fenced 1 acre pastures. Safe and secure, a ball lovers paradise! I’m comfortable treating your pet as my own with specialized treatment or care as needed. We have 2 respectful preteen boys in the household so kid friendly dogs are an absolute must.
“Margalina, Joshua and their daughter were wonderful caretakers of our maltipoo for two weeks. I got adorable photos every day and regular communication about all the fun he was having becoming a farm dog (lots of great exercise). This was a last minute booking but we could not have been luckier. Our dog is a very social one but also clingy to his main caretaker, and Margalina quickly because that person! We will definitely use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.”
