This was the first time our dog, Primo, stayed with someone who wasn’t already familiar with him, so naturally, we were a little nervous about leaving him while we were away on vacation. From the very beginning, Sydney completely put our minds at ease. She took the time to address every concern we had, answered all of our questions, and reassured us that Primo would be safe, comfortable, and very well taken care of. Sydney was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and professional throughout Primo’s entire stay. What we appreciated most was her communication. “My boy Chauncey stayed with Dan and Clare for three nights four days. I was sent multiple forgraphs to show how he was faring including him eating and sleeping. I had a GPS collar on him which showed the amount of play time and rest time he was given. (A LOT)!! Their yard is huge and fenced. Unfortunately my dog has learning to jump over cyclone fencing the week before staying with Dan and Clare; therefore, I put his GPS collar on him. They watched my sweet naughty (sporting dog - very concentrated on looking for creatures and can lose his mind by only having those thoughts in his head ;-) ) and I could tell much attention was given to watching out for him and guaranteeing he was safe. Their three dogs - after they bark upon your arrival - are very sweet and very accepting of newcomers. I would use them again in a heart beat. I travel on the road with my dog and also spend time in Texas so it will be hit and miss when the need arrives. However, should you want a safe, clean, dog "resort" for your pup go here. Lots of new smells, critters to chase and great hosts for your four legged family member, Thank you Dan and Clare!”

About: What sets me apart is that I have real hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve owned both big and small dog breeds, cared for puppies, and also have experience with senior dogs. Right now I currently own two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ve also owned cats, ferrets, and other kinds of animals, which has helped me become very patient, attentive, and adaptable to each pet’s unique needs. I truly love animals and care deeply about their well-being, so I always do my best to treat every pet like they are my own. I currently work from home half of the week so I’m available Friday Saturday Sunday Monday all day and Tuesday-Thursday I have less time personally but both my mom and sister work from home so they would still be taken care of by then I have two of my own dogs one is a senior the other one just turned 1! We love animals in this house! And your fur babies would be looked after with the upmost care! I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for whether they are in my home or in a client’s home. In my home, pets have space to play and get exercise since we have a fenced yard, and there is also a football field right in front of us where they can play too. We also take our dogs on walks often, so pets staying with me would get attention, activity, and lots of care. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. That includes feeding them on time, giving them fresh water, taking them on walks, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I always try to make pets feel relaxed and cared for while their owner is away.

About: I have always had a dog or cat in my life. Growing up and now I have two dogs of my own who I adore and love! I also have been a dog walker/nanny for two dogs for the past 4 years. About: It’s my first summer on Rover! I started in July of ‘26. I have lots of experience with my own two cats. And I’ve helped with dog walks and drop in visits a few times now. I have 8 years of experience in behavioral work with children and lots of those skills can be applied to cats and dogs. I’m working for a school Monday - Friday so please keep that in mind when making requests! I’ll be available on most weekends. I’m located in Clarkston and if you are too or in Lake Orion or Auburn Hills then we’d be a good match! I have two indoor only cats. About: I’ve had multiple dogs throughout my life and currently have one border collie at home. I’m used to 1+ hour walks multiple times a day (as needed), lots and lots of engaged playtime, and work to put furry family members first! 🐕 🐾 I’m a college student that is currently on summer break; as such, I have a very flexible schedule at the moment (mornings, afternoons, evenings, etc) I make sure keep doors open/headphones off when at home/while dogsitting so that animals don’t have to work to get my attention when they need it—I aim for at least two long walks a day with my high energy dog, with shorter potty breaks interspersed during the day. I understand the importance of accurate portion control for pets and make it a point to keep animals healthy with accurate meal sizes and monitor their water intake throughout the day.
About: I've had animals all my life- 3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 guinea pig, 3 hermit crabs, and numerous fish. I now also cat sit for my neighbor and friends when they go on vacations or trips ranging from a day to a week. I make sure I spend lots of time with their furry friends so they don't get lonely and they get the care they need. I am currently in college and working part-time (usually mornings on Thursdays and on Fridays), but my schedule allows me for ample time to check in on the furry buddies on my available days or the nighttime. I love to give my animals lots of cuddles and kisses. I make sure to give them long amounts of pets and love. If a storm is going on, I always make sure to turn on calming animal music and talk them through it. I treat animals like they are people and someone who needs care and love.
