Highly-rated overnight sitters - Stuart
“Kaity and family made the process very smooth. It was great to have a meet and greet in advance as well. I appreciated her quick responses to my messages, as well as having Zoey so warmly welcomed in her home. This is our first time using Rover for care and we will definitely do so again.”

“Elizabeth was wonderful! She deserves an award for handling my crazy, high energy Labrador. Somehow she kept up with his endless energy & chaos. I got constant pictures and videos giving me a peace of mind while i was gone. Duck came home happy and tired. Can’t thank her enough for watching him!”

“Jenai and Sean have taken wonderful care of our two active Aussies. I’m picky about who cares for my dogs as they both have individual quarks and I trust Jenai and Sean 110%!”

“Julie was a wonderful Rover host. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them and loved getting pictures of my pup every day. I definitely will be using them again and highly recommend. Thanks so much!!”

“Dana - and her son - are awesome! Spoiled my little guy with love ( tucked sweetly into a blanket on the couch) and security (especially when fireworks went off). Very attentive, kind, professional, and in tune to pets needs. Highly recommend!”

“Trina and her daughter were wonderful hosts for Rosie. They offered to do a meet and greet before the day, so she could get comfortable. And I could tell that she was happy and well taken care of when I came to pick her up!”

About: Hello, my name is Amanda! I would be honored to provide peace of mind, knowing your home &/or pets are safe and cared for, while you are away, during the day or longer. I offer drop in visits, dog walking, doggy daycare, boarding and house sitting. Additionally, I have experience taking care of my parent's diabetic cat, when they went out of town, which included giving him insulin shots twice a day, so I am comfortable with some medical needs' animals. My cat, Penny, is technically a senior cat, and she remains very healthy and happy! I also have experience taking care of my friends' senior dogs overnight when her and her family went out of town. As well as my own senior dog, Bentley, who has passed away. It has been a few years, but my heart is still too broken to think about welcoming a dog into my home for forever, but I so miss having a dog's company, so, temporary will have to do for now! I know just how much I loved my dog and wanted to protect him and keep him happy & healthy as long as possible, and I promise to treat your pets the same. I was also the proud owner of 4 chickens when I lived in Florida. They were the greatest entertainment! By the time I moved to Michigan, there was sadly only one remaining chicken, I didn't want to confuse her with the weather change, so of course she became a house chicken. She got to live her last two years living inside the house, cozy as can be, with me, my dog & cat. We all loved it! Long story short, I'm also available for some farm animal sitting. I promise to keep them out of your house! Unless... I would love to chat with you about your pets and your situation, and see if I can be of any assistance to you! Thank you so much! Talk soon! I would really love for pet care to become my full time work, and at this time I have open availability, in order to achieve that. I have a fully fenced yard and no off-limit spaces in my home, your pets will be treated as my own, while in my care!
“Jamie was great with our high energy needs dog, Maggie. She’s a border collie/blue heeler mix that is a good dog, but only if she’s exercised her body (and mind) enough. We loved having picture updates over our long weekend away. And by the second night I knew everything would be okay and that Jamie had the compassion and care needed for a dog like Maggie. We’re SO happy to have found Jamie and will definitely be requesting her services again!!”

“Savannah was amazing! She made us feel so eat ease with our first experience our leaving our golden at someone’s house while we went out of town. She sent frequent updates along with pictures. Our boy at the time of his life!”

“This is the first time we had ever used Rover and it was a great experience. We received several pictures to see how Layla was doing during her 18 day stay. I highly recommend Katy to care for your dogs. We will be back again!!!”

“Sydney was amazing! You can tell as soon as you walk through her door that her heart belongs to animals. I was so nervous leaving my old man with a stranger for the first time. But I got updates daily. He got to go on walks and get lots of love and attention. I picked him up and he was brushed and smiling. I am so happy with Sydney's service.”

“Nayoma was wonderful! She sent daily updates with great pictures, and Gracie came home healthy, happy, and relaxed. Her communication was excellent, and she was very flexible with our schedule. It’s comforting to know Gracie was so well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“My dog had a great time at Becky’s playing with two dogs that were there. She even went on a special family outing with them (with our permission). Becky sent pictures and videos which made our time away extra enjoyable. My dog doesn’t usually eat when she’s away from home but Becky said she had no problem with eating. I attribute that to Becky creating such a comforting, home-like experience for her. I will definitely be booking Becky again!”

“I’ve used Andrew twice now and could not recommend him any more highly! He and his wife were very responsive and clearly took great care of my dog. I think she was a little sad to leave actually!!”

About: For the past ten years I’ve worked in the area as a veterinary assistant and also have experience in dog daycare and grooming. I enjoy developing relationships with pets and their humans! Being a home away from home is an huge honor to me. I am currently available during weekdays for daycare. I have a great space at my home and neighborhood to keep your dog company for the day. I am now doing pet sitting from my home and able to stay at your home. Whatever your pet is most comfortable with! I have a fenced in yard and my own dog that would love to play. I also have a great neighborhood to explore with your pet. The latest pick up time is 6:30pm but can accommodate if something comes up.
“Kathy was fantastic with Teddy. She suggested a meet & greet prior to officially booking to make sure it was a good match. For the week that Teddy stayed with Kathy she provided photos, videos and written updates which helped keep us at ease. It is clear that Kathy loves dogs and enjoys having them in her home!”
“Reed and Natalie watched our dog, Maggie, and they were amazing! Sent us daily updates with pictures and videos and Maggie always looked so happy! We ran into travel issues returning home and they were very flexible with timing of picking her up and were even willing to watch her another night if needed. Highly recommend them!”

“Melissa did a great job taking care of my old lady dog Sikari! She was very patient and gentle with her. I got lots of pictures with updates with how Sikari was eating and sleeping. I always felt confident that Sikari was in good hands.”

“Kathleen provided wonderful care for my cat while I was away! It was a last minute booking and she completely made it happen and I felt confident right away with my choice to go with her as my sitter. Gideon was happy and healthy when I returned :)”

“Jaime was very accommodating, willing to meet and schedule drop-in visits at fairly short notice. She offered kind and caring attention to Luna for a full two weeks. Unfortunately mistook me for another client or person one time in a text, but otherwise did a great job. My cat was in good hands, and I'm truly grateful for Jaime's service.”

“Dominque is the best! She is so reliable and through and she always keeps us in the know. Our cat just adores her. We never have to sort about anything when she comes to check in! We definitely recommend her!”

“Theresa was our first Rover sitter and we loved having her! She followed all instructions and shared photos and info from each visit. We are excited to have her visit our kitty again in a couple months.”

“Brad is the best! He is so good with our dog Gunner. He always makes sure Gunner gets the exercise and attention he needs as an active dog. During his last drop in visit, Brad was sensitive to Gunner’s injured leg and made sure he didn’t over do it. He always communicates clearly and keeps us informed. Very professional and competent. Highly recommend him!”

“My feline monkeys have enjoyed becoming fast friends with Lynn. She takes such good care of them and their human is very grateful! They look forward to their next visit with her.”

“So grateful for her watching our two cats! Our shy cats loved her! Great communication and professionalism. We loved the cute photos and thoughtful updates daily. We look forward to working with her next time we’re out of town. Highly recommend you work with her too.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Katherine and her lovely pups/cats! She was incredibly attentive to my pup, communicated clearly and consistently, and truly went above and beyond to care for Percy. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring sitter.”

“Ellie did a fantastic job watching my pup and was a pleasure to work with! She made sure Ophie’s needs were met and provided a great environment for her to get her energy out. I got plenty of updates during her stay, and she came home relaxed and happy. I highly recommend Ellie’s services!!”

About: I grew up on and farm and I’ve had animals my whole life. I believe animals make the best company. As of right now I only have a grand puppy. I recently lost my mini schnauzer she was 17 so I may be adding a new member to our family soon. I would like to spend sometime with your animals and spoil them. I live inKalamazoo in a pet friendly condo complex with not only an extensive yard but with walking trails near by. I’m very comfortable with opening my home to Your pet and making them feel like they belong. I already have plenty of toys and things to keep them busy. I regularly babysit my grand puppy who is use to having other dogs around. I would really enjoy getting to know you and your pet, hope to accommodate you soon. Thank you Trina

“Natalie is incredibly self-possessed, which creates a sense a calmness around her that Greta reacted to right away. From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”
About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and they have enriched my life so much. I volunteered at animal shelters, working with dogs of all kinds, and socializing with the cats. I regularly walked dogs and was a dog/house sitter for over a year, then took a brief hiatus while I was working full time and am getting back into dog sitting now that I have a house of my own, and can offer boarding services! I have also had two puppies over my life that I helped raise and take care of into their old age. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to spend loving your critters, and my partner works fully remote so he is available to let dogs in and out while I am gone! We have a large fenced in backyard with lots of room to run and play, plus we love going on walks when we have dogs visiting us. We have two cats, Swiper and Bilbo, who are both familiar with dogs, and can be shy but very friendly. They also have their own hideaway which houses their food and litter that dogs do not have access to in case they need some time to themselves. My mom's dog, Juno, also visits us frequently, and she LOVES having playmates around and gets along with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I make sure to take swift action on any problems that may arise, and communicate frequently in detail. You can rest easy knowing I treat any critter in my care as if they were one of my own, and you will also receive picture updates every day, usually multiple times a day.
“Nayoma was great! It was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family. He takes a while to warm up to others but Nayoma was patient with him and he got more comfortable as the day went on. We were happy to get an update and some pictures of him throughout the day. I will definitely use Nayoma again in the future!”

About: I’ve been around animals since I was born. I’ve had a lot of experience with dogs, and I love to be around them. My favorite thing to do is to be with animals. I have my own Siberian Husky that I will need to drop in on occasionally I do have a dog of my own. But other then babysitting for family and doctors appointments I am pretty free other than that. I love all animals and love getting new experiences. I would feed the pets, let them out every few hours. Keep them company, play with them take them for walks, anything that would be needed.
About: Devoted and die-hard dog Momma over here! I have a Muttley crew of dogs including Labrador Retrievers and Pitt Bull mixes. My pack includes senior aged dogs through to young dogs. I have dedicated the last couple years to fostering dogs and absolutely fallen in love pivoting my world in the direction of companion pets. I have also worked at a local doggie daycare and volunteer often with my dogs as control dogs in a local dog training group's reactive rover class. I currently work part time in a local dog park as well. Needless to say, I encounter all types of dogs throughout my day and love learning their unique personalities. I have studied dogs at length with my personal pack, in training classes, with my dog centered jobs, and I continue to enjoy deep discussions on dog body language to learn even more! Dogs are fascinating animals to me, and I adore learning more to better communicate with them. I have a flexible schedule currently. I work part time at a local dog park in the afternoons during the week, and volunteer by fostering dogs. I have a fenced in yard and friendly dogs at home that are social and enjoy playing with new pups, proven with the foster pups I bring home. My pack is excellent communicators with other dogs and help draw out shy dogs and teach them how to dog. Dogs are welcome on the furniture (couch and bed) in my home. New dogs through foster or dog sitting sleep in a crate for naps during the day and at night out of an abundance of caution for safety.
About: I have experience taking care of all types of dogs. I grew up with great Danes so im not scared of big dogs. I can train puppies. I am available 24-7 for pet care! I have open availability which means more time taking care of your fur baby. I look forward to working for you! I have a fenced in yard for small to medium sized dogs. I prefer to watch them at your place if possible. I am willing to crate your fur baby if needed.
“Thanks again for providing great care to my dog, Sarah! I’m so glad your dogs and Moe get along so well. That’s great. Sarah is an awesome dog sitter if you’re looking for one.”

About: Dogs and cats have been part of my family my whole life! I have also been a dog sitter for over 10 years. A few years ago, my husband and I raised 6 puppies from birth until they went to their new homes at 10 weeks. We currently have three dogs: Ash (Siberian Husky), Koda (Australian Shepherd), and Hickory (Husky-Australian Shepherd mix) who we love to play with, take for walks, and run around in the backyard. I'm currently off for the summer so I have a lot of time at home. I will let the dogs out every 2-4 hours when away but they will be out roaming the house when I am home. Dogs are welcomed in all rooms and on beds and furniture in the home. I have a large fenced in yard and three dogs to keep your pup company. We live in a dog friendly community and near a nature preserve for long walks and hikes.

“Highly recommend Rachel! She was extremely flexible with some last minute changes on my end and was communicative early about when she was not available. My timid dog warmed up to her right away and Rachel did amazing at keeping goodbyes short to mininize her separation anxiety. I received plenty of photos/videos/updates and felt confident leaving Summer in her care.”

“I had a great experience with Jaime! She was quick to respond and worked with me to find a time that suited both our schedules. She arrived on time, was incredibly sweet with my dog, and really took the time to connect with her. It was clear she genuinely cared and made sure all of her needs were met. I would definitely recommend her and will continue to use her services moving forward!”

About: (if in need of a "constant care" visit, please mention that in your request so we can discuss that rate). Experience with puppies and senior dogs. It feels great making sure a pet is well-cared for and happy. I have a client who is gone quite often and care for her animals several times a month. During the work-week, I still offer to stop in on my brother's animals. I've prioritized leash training and am accustomed to going on many walks per day as well as providing tasks to keep dogs happy and healthy.
“Lynn was fantastic. She put our dogs at ease right away during the meet and greet. She had great communication. We will definitely be using her a lot more for our pups!”

About: What sets me apart from others is my passion, knowledge, and attention to detail. I have a special interest in training and managing reactive dogs and socializing puppies! I work full time at a local vet clinic & do pet sitting on my days off (Friday-Sunday) I have 3 dogs of my own as well! I care for your pets in YOUR home which I believe makes them more comfortable! I do drop in visits with the duration of your choice. ❤️
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've been lucky to parent dogs, cats, and horses, including two retired racing Greyhounds and a tuxedo cat who made me a certified cat person. Beyond my own, I've been caring for pets professionally (i.e., beyond friends and family) for more than 15 years, and after taking some time away while completing my PhD and living abroad, I'm excited to be back doing something I've always loved. In 2011, I started walking pups professionally in Chicago as a side gig during my breaks from tour managing for a band, which quickly turned into my dog-walking clients asking me to stay in their home with their pets while they were away. Over the span of just a few years, I built relationships with more than 30 clients, with most of them turning into repeat (and repeat and repeat!) clients. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes and everything in between. I've also worked with many pets that required extra patience or specialized care. I've cared for senior pets, dogs < 1yo, a blind Australian Cattle Dog, a deaf cat, highly anxious and stranger-wary dogs, VERY stranger-wary cats, a Beagle with a seizure disorder, and pets receiving medication. I've also been the go-to sitter for a couple of families going through difficult times with their critters, including caring for their pets with terminal illnesses during their final days (both a black lab named Maggie and the sweetest deaf black cat named Sam) . Over the years, I've handled a few very unexpected situations as well. Whether it's a medical event requiring an unexpected trip to the veterinarian or even arriving to a cat drop-in visit to find that the apartment had experienced a break-in (in my Chicago days, which included working with police and gathering the terrified cats from the apartment stairwell), I've stayed calm, communicated clearly, and focused on keeping the critters safe and the clients informed. There have also been several occasions where I've extended my stay last-minute due to a client's canceled flight or interrupted travel plans. One of the biggest differences between my prior pet sitting days and now is my flexibility due to my remote work. When I pet sat extensively throughout Chicago, my tour managing days had ended and I worked a full-time 9-5 downtown. This was fine for my clients, as they had a similar schedule. But I now work fully remotely, so I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to spend much more time with your pets throughout the day than I could years ago. I essentially do my best to work around your pet's normal routine. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or midday visits whenever possible. My goal is to make life feel as normal and stress-free as possible for your pets while you're away. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd expect someone to show mine, as I've also hired pet sitters over the years for my own critters. I follow your instructions (the more the better!), keep you updated with photos (lots!) and messages, and make sure your pets receive the same routines, rules, and attention they're used to (e.g., their feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company).

“Kristen was a great walker! She accommodated a last-minute time shift, she showed up right on time, and took our pup for a good walk. We'll definitely hire her again!”

I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I am currently a student at Michigan State, but my schedule is very flexible, and I can care for your pet whenever you need me to. :) I am very flexible when it comes to services. I am willing to walk, feed, let your pet out to go to the bathroom, etc.
About: I had a small dog-walking business in my hometown over COVID, and I am looking to start walking again! I love the outdoors and excercise, the dogs are the added bonus. Also looking for potential exchange of care for accommodation during the month of september :) I’m currently job searching, so anything to get me out of the house in the meantime is awesome! I am very flexible in care times at the moment and thus willing to provide your pet(s) with whatever they need! I am open and able to caring for pets however their owners may wish. I have experience with other animals and giving medicine if needed is not a problem.
“Madelyn had been walking our dog during the week for the past couple of weeks and we honestly could not be happier!! She communicates beforehand to verify the schedule each week. She is consistent - picks up our dog for a walk same time each day! She provides us with pictures and updates on how the walk went. Our dog Emma can be a little extra (German Shepherd energy) and Madelyn is great with her! We are so thankful we found Madelyn!”

“An absolute wonderful person to watch after your pet! She was so loving toward Charlie and he had an absolutely blast with her while I was out of town. Big thanks to Theresa!”

About: I've had dogs all my life and it's a necessity to pet every dog that goes past me, so it only feels right to help others with their beautiful fur babies. Your dog will never be bored with me! I'll make sure to give them lots of love and attention. Play time is a must, and they will never miss a meal or a bathroom break. I don't mind cleaning up after dogs at all, I don't mind going on long walks or tiring those high energetic pups out. I worked at a vet clinic/boarding kennel as a receptionist, kennel attendant and I learn some things about being an assistant. I Honestly probably see dogs more than humans and I wouldn’t want it any other way! I’ve been dog sitting for about 7 years now I’ve had the best experiences, not only with my babies but also with my clients! I will always keep you as updated as you need with pictures/videos/calls/texts! I’m always available to you. I strive to keep your house as clean as I came into it and respect your property as my own! Dogs are my favorite thing in the world and being able to take care of them for a living has been amazing to say the least. I will no longer be doing dog sits over night, I am available for walks and drop ins 💜 I currently do not have a job besides my dog sitting so my schedule is pretty open. I am currently taking care of my father but have a very good support system to make sure that everyone around me is taken care of 💜 I follow what ever instructions you give me to take the best care of your babies 💜 I’m flexible and willing to try anything to help out! PLEASE LEAVE FEEDING/ALLERGY INSTRUCTIONS, the more detail the better! Please let me know if there’s treats in the house that shouldn’t be fed to them, I would appreciate a hard copy on the counter just for easy access and easy to remember! I am only human and can’t remember everything that was said in our meet and greet 💜 I want us both to have a happy, healthy stay!

“First time using this service and Jordan made me feel very comfortable about my dogs care he kept me updated and took great care of my dogs if I ever use this again I definitely would want him to watch my dogs again he was amazing”

“We left our 1yr old and 2 yr old cat with her for the weekend while my family ( who’s allergic to cats) came into town. She communicated with us, sent us a picture when possible, she was very respectful and understanding! She also responded very quickly as well which I appreciated since I’ve had my 1 year old cat since she was 8 weeks old and I’ve never left her with anyone before and we got our 2 yr old cat 3 months ago, but being in the loop made me feel better 😊 they seemed to have fun, so we definitely would come back!”
