About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience caring for multiple pets in my home and around family pets. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel comfortable and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have experience caring for pets throughout my life, so I’m used to building feeding, cleaning, and check in times into my day. I’m able to take care of pets anytime on the days I put. I make sure to stay consistent with each pet’s schedule and give them reliable care and attention every visit. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for both dogs and cats. I make sure all doors and windows are secure and that the space is free from anything unsafe. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks for dogs, litter box care for cats, and any specific instructions from the owner. I always supervise pets while they are in my care and make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and keep them safe and well cared for at all times.

She took him for several walks and adventures, and made him feel right at home! She kept us updated with many photos and communicated regularly. About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

“Lorretta was wonderful! She was so communicative, sent lots of pictures and made sure my pup was safe and happy. She made sure our dog ate his meals, took him on plenty of walks, and included him in her day to day activities. We were visiting from out of state for a family reunion and were unable to have our dog stay with us. She was so accommodating and let us stop by multiple times to take our dog on day trips. Finding Lorretta allowed us to have our pup be apart of our vacation which was so important to us. We will 100% be using her in future years when visiting Traverse City!”
About: I started my pet care journey as a dog walker at age 9, and have found great joy in pet sitting over the years. I’ve cared for pets of all sizes, ages and personalities, and now specialize in in-home boarding where your pets are treated like part of our family. My home offers fenced acreage for safe, supervised running and play, along with structured walks and trail runs for those who need a little extra. After playtime, there’s always a warm bed, or a cozy spot on the couch, waiting for naps and snuggles. With degrees in Wildlife Biology and Zoology, I bring not only a deep love for animals but also a professional understanding of their behavior, needs, and well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I split my regular work schedule with 3 wfh days each week. We are an early rising family who enjoy spending time on our homestead. We have several resident pets on the farm: 20 sheep, 2 mini donkeys, chickens and one beloved mutt. Our regular routine involves a 1 mi walk in the am and pm with lots of other opportunities throughout the day for supervised fresh air or playtime in one of our fenced 1 acre pastures. Safe and secure, a ball lovers paradise! I’m comfortable treating your pet as my own with specialized treatment or care as needed. We have 2 respectful preteen boys in the household so kid friendly dogs are an absolute must.

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 13, and have always had a dog since. My dog is my baby! One of my favorite pastimes is walking my dogs. I currently have 2 dogs. Fresh water always, lots of love, and good quality food/treats and getting outside for potty breaks are so important to me. I work full time day shift during the week. Weekends and evenings are free for me! I would love to drop in and take care of your pet while your away! Pets like their routines and I am totally respectful of that. I can accommodate their particular needs to keep them safe, happy and well cared for!
