I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Dogs have always been a part of my life, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. Two years ago, I lost my beloved shepherd. While that was incredibly hard, it inspired me to open my home and heart to other dogs. Since then, I’ve been caring for dogs for family and friends, as well as volunteering with foster dogs—helping them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore, and I don’t have any pets of my own right now. That means your dog gets my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment—perfect for dogs who prefer their own space or need a little extra comfort. I treat every dog like they’re my own and tailor care to their unique personality—whether that’s active playtime, relaxing companionship, or a steady routine. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work full time, but I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be home often and adjust my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will be part of a calm, structured, and caring environment. I provide a calm, safe, and loving home where dogs feel relaxed and happy. They get potty breaks, playtime, and fenced-yard fun, and if I’m at work, crating is never more than 4 hours, with breaks on lunch or as needed. With no other pets at home, your dog gets plenty of one-on-one attention and care like family.

About: I have taken care of cats for many years; usually when I horse-sit for pet owners they have barn cats and house cats that I care for alongside them. I’ve had one cat in my household growing up, a rescue named Pancakes, but she passed away from cancer last year. However, that did give me a lot of experience with administering oral medications. I have given medicine to elderly and sick cats I’ve pet-sat for friends before as well.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and they bring me so much joy. I’ve had experience with dogs of all ages and sizes and I’ve found that I enjoy them all. I’ve had experience with training, potty training and have helped family and friends with dog walking. I currently go to school online so I am home most of the day. I have an older dog of my own so I am used to a routine of being able to be home to let me dog outside and take him for walks at least once a day. I have a fenced in backyard so that your dog can be outside as much as they like. I also have a dog that absolutely loves other animals. My son is a big fan of helping out with animals and we both enjoy snuggling up with our dog at the end of the day. I do allow dogs on furniture and in all rooms of my house, however I will respect if this is something you do not wish your dog to do.

About: I am working on some pretty amazing updates. Additional outdoor yards are in the works, as well as a perimeter fence around the home property! I have also added Tracki to my collars. Tracki runs on global GPS (satellite feedback) and not cellular feedback, giving that extra security for your pups with no interruption in tracking! Bark & Barn is a privately insured in-home kennel that provides overnight and day boarding options as well as drop-in visits/walks for all pets, exotic included. I also provide optional training for dogs. I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a high volume multi-species setting. With this, I have gained the knowledge, training, and experience in animal behavior as well as proper technique in safe animal hold, administering all forms of medication, administering emergency fluids, and animal CPR. Your pups will have access to multiple sections of my home, a fenced play yard, and walks over 120 acres of farm fields and streamed woods! I offer basic puppy training during board and day stays, including potty and crate training. I will gladly accept shark puppies, understanding completely how difficult these pups can be for many caretakers who are not experienced in their breed characteristics. About: I grew up on and farm and I’ve had animals my whole life. I believe animals make the best company. As of right now I only have a grand puppy. I recently lost my mini schnauzer she was 17 so I may be adding a new member to our family soon. I would like to spend sometime with your animals and spoil them. I live inKalamazoo in a pet friendly condo complex with not only an extensive yard but with walking trails near by. About: I had taken care of dogs of every kind since I was very young. I have relied on me to walked, feed and bathe their pets. I had also trained 2 dogs with some of the sign language as well to teach the animals to sit and stay with the American sign language. My friends and family have relied on me to take their dogs to the dog park, the beach and go on the morning hike. Just really take care of their animals with the love, respect and support for those need my help for them to enjoy their time or a getaway! I'm currently working from home on my own flexible schedule! I do have a lot of time in between working virtually and I can do my job anywhere! I also like to step outside with the dogs/cats to keep my eyes on them or even just being outside with them and play with their toys to give them my joyful attention. I love to have the transparency communication with the owners as well. I will always ask the owner before assuming or trying things out. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and I house-sit/dog-sit as a part-time job, as well as work at two stables. I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my own pets, so I enjoy taking care of other people’s animals! I work part time at the Humane Society. My hrs vary depending on how my boss makes the schedule for each week. I usually work Sundays 8 to 3. Sometimes Mondays 8 to 3 if in the dog area, and 8 to noon if the cat area. Tuesday through Friday I work 8 to noon and sometimes a day or two of the week I have the afternoon shift noon to 5. I don't own any animals of my own right now, but I have cared for animals at work and for friends when they need a pet sitter. When I care for any animal I will not neglect them. I will play with them if they want attention. I will groom them if they need it. I will feed and water them if given instructions to do so. I will give them lots of loving.
About: I have had big dogs and small dogs throughout my whole life raising all kinds of breeds from puppy's to healthy outstanding dogs, I can spot almost instantly when something is not quite right, I have a small dog myself we have raised her from 7 weeks, she is turning a year the end of this month, she has all of her shots and vaccines, health pup, she loves to play and loves to have friends over, if you are looking for a knowledgeable, fun, loving, and caring, dog sitter I'm your gal lol!!!! I work full time remotely so I’m flexible during the week. I do travel with my job and many of my weekends are full. I will keep my schedule updated so times are known when I can help.
