About: I have always had a cat as a pet, luckily I always seem to end up with affectionate, lovable ones. We rescued our most recent fur baby last year who had lost his eyes to infection. He was born on the city streets and they were unable to save them. So I have experience with medical needs to that degree. Bark & Barn is a privately insured in-home kennel that provides overnight and day boarding options as well as drop-in visits/walks for all pets, exotic included. I also provide optional training for dogs. I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a high volume multi-species setting. With this, I have gained the knowledge, training, and experience in animal behavior as well as proper technique in safe animal hold, administering all forms of medication, administering emergency fluids, and animal CPR. Your pups will have access to multiple sections of my home, a fenced play yard, and walks over 120 acres of farm fields and streamed woods! I offer basic puppy training during board and day stays, including potty and crate training. I will gladly accept shark puppies, understanding completely how difficult these pups can be for many caretakers who are not experienced in their breed characteristics. Another plus is for the past year I’ve been a dog groomer so my range of dogs is very high, I’ve had all ages of dogs. About: I had taken care of dogs of every kind since I was very young. I have relied on me to walked, feed and bathe their pets. I had also trained 2 dogs with some of the sign language as well to teach the animals to sit and stay with the American sign language. My friends and family have relied on me to take their dogs to the dog park, the beach and go on the morning hike. Just really take care of their animals with the love, respect and support for those need my help for them to enjoy their time or a getaway! I'm currently working from home on my own flexible schedule! I do have a lot of time in between working virtually and I can do my job anywhere! So if I take the dogs to the park or go on a walk, I could work on my phone to reply my emails, messages etc. I do have the good balance of taking a break from work to spend the time with the animals to give them my attention and cuddles and go on a walks or adventures! First thing first is to care the animals with respect, love and comfort to be in your home. If I was at your house, I am that person that will follow your wishes and expectations of how you would want me to care for your animals. I do clean up after myself when I am at your house and to keep it tidy clean as you like it to be. I also like to step outside with the dogs/cats to keep my eyes on them or even just being outside with them and play with their toys to give them my joyful attention. I love to have the transparency communication with the owners as well. I will always ask the owner before assuming or trying things out. I love to meet the animals before starting the whole process to feel it out how the energy goes for us and for your animals too. If I could figure out how to bill insurance for snuggle time, baths, long walks, and naps I would have the perfect life. I’m not afraid of the elements and will get out and walk in the snow, rain or whatever else Michigan’s can throw our way. I’ve sat for some pretty temperamental large dogs. Patience is a virtue. About: I’ve dealt with all sorts of dogs but and small ranging between chihuahuas to Great Danes. Another plus is for the past year I’ve been a dog groomer so my range of dogs is very high, I’ve had all ages of dogs.
