About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.

About: In college I worked as a professional pet sitter that was over 20 years ago. Since then I have pet sat off and on over the years in my home and in clients home. I have experience walking lots of dogs at one time. I have experience with horses and cows as well. I also have 5 years of professional pet grooming experience too. About: Not only have I grown up with pets my whole life, I have made a living out of taking care of them. It was my calling as a young child to become a Veterinarian. I started Pet Well Mobile Vet, the area's only mobile veterinary service, in 2021 to help bring a better level of quality to pet care after seeing how much more relaxed my friend's pets were when I took care of them in their homes. Building that bond through pet sitting is much the same thing. Pets get individualized care and you get peace of mind. As the mobile veterinarian, I can schedule my days as needed. “Margalina, Joshua and their daughter were wonderful caretakers of our maltipoo for two weeks. I got adorable photos every day and regular communication about all the fun he was having becoming a farm dog (lots of great exercise). This was a last minute booking but we could not have been luckier. Our dog is a very social one but also clingy to his main caretaker, and Margalina quickly because that person! We will definitely use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.”
“Lorretta was wonderful! She was so communicative, sent lots of pictures and made sure my pup was safe and happy. She made sure our dog ate his meals, took him on plenty of walks, and included him in her day to day activities. We were visiting from out of state for a family reunion and were unable to have our dog stay with us. She was so accommodating and let us stop by multiple times to take our dog on day trips. Finding Lorretta allowed us to have our pup be apart of our vacation which was so important to us. We will 100% be using her in future years when visiting Traverse City!”

Our dog loved playing with Bob’s dog, Parker, while we were away. :) Bob goes above and beyond - he took our dog to the lake several times and on a couple walks daily. He is very knowledgeable and reinforced some training while we were away.”
