About: I have been watching dogs since I was in high school for neighbors but recently took up watching dogs seriously in the last year or so. I worked at a private country club in California for the last year and was very involved in watching members dogs. This included taking them for walks, stopping in for daily visits while owners are away or spending multiple nights, sometimes up to a week staying with dogs. This has included many different breeds ranging from schitzus to giant poodles. I am comfortable with multiple animals. About: I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan where animals weren't just pets, they were part of everyday life. Surrounded by cats, dogs, and farm animals from a young age, I developed a natural comfort and respect for animals that only comes from experience. Growing up with both indoor and barn cats taught me early that every cat operates on their own terms and the best thing you can do is meet them there. Starting in middle school, family and friends began trusting me with their pets, and through that I've learned there's no day that isn't better with a furry friend by your side. I thought cat sitting a family with four different cats had prepared me for anything until my roommate moved in with a rescue the shelter warned would barely tolerate being pet. She spent the first month bolting down the stairs the moment anyone came into view. Through patience, consistency, and letting her set the pace, we eventually got to a place where she'll now curl up next to me for a movie night.
