About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: I am a big time dog lover! I work from home and am able to be here with the pets all day and take them out at least every 2 hours or as needed. I have a big house with a decent sized yard (NOT fenced). I'd love a few more companions hanging out with me and my dog, Lola! There aren't a lot of pet sitting options in this area so here I am making it an option :) Please come check me out! I work from home so i am here all day with the pets and able to tend to them as needed. i get an hour break for lunch and thats usually when i take my dog out to play/walk. I am available for day time pet sitting during the week. If needed me on a weekend we can most likely work something out-case by case basis-but it wasn't something i wanted to promote on my profile.
