About: I've been providing neighborhood pet care since I was 11. Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.

About: I have cared for the dogs and cats of family members, friends and coworkers when needed, for years. I personally have a dog and cat. My dog is a sweet boy but he is reactive to other dogs. Before him I had never worked with/known a dog that has reactive tendencies. I have learned a lot over the last 7-8 years about reactivity, especially dogs being reactive towards other dogs. I have cared for as many as three dogs and three cats at a time including puppies and senior dogs. I currently work full time but have developed a good schedule for when I do check in/drop ins for those I pet sit for. If someone is out of town and leaving their pets at home for a check in/drop-in schedule I would typically drop in, in the morning before work, around lunch time, around dinner time and again before bed if the owner requests. I have recently cared for three dogs and a cat for almost two weeks for a coworker and this schedule worked well. I will adhere to any instructions that a pet owner provides. I will make sure that the animals are well cared for and report any concerns I may have for the pets while caring for them. Whether it is a drop in to let a dog out to go to the bathroom at lunch time, walking a dog, feeding the pets, etc.

About: I've been taking care of cats as long as I can remember. I don't currently have a dog but I frequently take care of my aunt's Great Pyrenees and I've taken care of many other dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and I'm free any day of the week for sitting. I would be happy to take care of any kind of dog or cat. I usually consult the owner and try to stick to the pets regular schedule as close as possible. I usually visit dogs three or four times a day and do one or two walks and for cats I visit once or twice a day or as many times as the owner would like.

In order to ensure your pets safety, I plan to thoroughly communicate with you before I am left responsible for your animal's care. I want to know exactly what you need from me to make sure your animal is safe. This communication could entail any behavioral concerns you have which may interfere with your pets safety, any other animals in the area to be aware of, specific techniques you use with your animal to deter them from stressors (an example with dogs would be kenneling or puppy push ups), any safety concerns in the environment (for example if you had a cat and a rodent which needed to be kept in separate parts of the home, or a hole in your fence) and anything else you might want to share with me. About: We are an energetic family that love animals. We will make sure your animal is well looked after and receives the love it deserves ! I will be off this summer and will be home throughout the day to take care of your animals. We can also look after your animal over night. We live in a dead end neighborhood where there are not many cars that pass through. We will make sure there is always a set of eyes on your animal.

Kate and family went above and beyond to give him all of the blankets, cuddles, and relaxation he needed while we continued hiking in high humidity and wet conditions. I’m super careful about who cares for Tux and am glad I put my trust in Kate! We made it home without worsening Tux’s allergies, and he’s doing much better now.”

Hosting for over four years so I know how to make sure you get a five star experience. We have a fenced yard hard floors, dog kennels, and everything a dog would need.
