Personalized care for your dog or cat - Libby Hill

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Libby Hill
“Christina was absolutely fabulous. We usually take long trips once a year, which is difficult to plan without having someone trustworthy to leave our Lucky. He is a friendly and easy-going dog, but has experienced anxiety before, which usually affects his digestive system. But the care he received from Christina and the fun he had with other dog pals for almost three weeks was more than perfect. We are so grateful, and he'll definitely be back.”

“Natalie took such great care of my beloved housecat, the little traitor didn't even want to come home! Thanks for keeping him safe, socialized, entertained, and happy. Highly recommend for anyone with a socially needy cat.”

“Breanna was AMAZING!! She took my 3 large Golden’s and 2 Persian cats on short notice for a week in her home. She checked in, sent me pictures, gave my old boy his meds. It was the best boarding experience i ever had. Feel safe and confident leaving your babies with her.”

“Finding someone that you can trust that will care for and love your fur baby as you do can be challenging. We were able to find someone and more in Robin. From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. Robin's compassion to take care of and spend time with animals is very clear. Remy even seemed a little sad after we picked him up and brought him home like he missed her and her fun dog Stella. We can't recommend Robin enough and we will definitely be using again!”

“Alyx was wonderful to work with and we are very happy we found her! She was easy to communicate with and kept us updated on Lucy's stay with messages and pictures. We were nervous leaving Lucy with a new sitter but feel confident that she was well cared for and given lots of one-on-one attention in her time with Alyx. We definitely recommend her!”
“Marissa was fantastic! She went above and beyond for our dogs and took such good care of them. She sent photos every day. She took them for walks and swims and gave them extra love and the best care. She was extremely responsive, and I would give her 10 stars if I could! I hope to use her again in the future!”

“Sarah was amazing with Tank. We were worried as he shows some early signs of anxiety and guarding and had never been left anywhere overnight before, but he took well to Sarah and her family. She was stern in helping him learn how to behave and helped give us tips as well on how we can continue to train him! She was easy to talk to and gave great feedback daily on his wellbeing and growth. We will definitely be rebooking with Sarah again!”

“Best experience I've had on Rover. Molly is incredibly nice and went above and beyond. Our dogs were so happy. She's very confident and able to handle even my more nervous/ skittish dog and made her feel happy in her home. I'll definitely use her again!!”
“We haven’t been on vacation in awhile. This was the first time leaving our puppy with Lindsay. They were very well cared for! Teddy loves going and now Tigger loves it also. I can’t imagine anyone else caring for our dogs!”

“Matthew took great care of Lucy during the holidays! She came back home happy and with a new toy!! Thank you very much for caring so much about Lucy and taking great care of her, Matt. We really appreciate it!”

“Chelsea is an amazing trusted sitter for our Curtis. She’s great with communication and sending photos and updates. We ran into travel issues when coming home from vacation and she was very understanding and sweet about an unexpected extra day. This truly took my stress down a lot. I would highly recommend Chelsea!”

I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! I work Monday thru Thursday as a dental assistant, so I am usually free all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Pet care fits easily into my routine because I dedicate time specifically for it. I’m available on Fridays and throughout the weekend, giving me plenty of time to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. I enjoy being active and spending time with dogs, so I’m committed to making sure every pet receives reliable, loving care while their owner is away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special care they require. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping their environment clean, safe, and comfortable. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. About: I have worked many different animal specific jobs over the years. From pet stores, dog bathing, to overnight doggie daycares. There have always been animals around me at home, especially dogs! Now that my childhood dog (Brownie) is getting older, I’ve also gained more experience with senior canines too. I am currently unemployed, so I’ll have plenty of time to give attention to and care for your precious fur friend(s)! I am available for check-ins any day of the week after 11am. While I do not drive myself, my family is retired and able to help with transportation. Please discuss details with me ahead of time for availability if needed (at least a day in advance). My house has a spacious front and backyard, including an invisible fence that both of my dogs are trained with. There are plenty of dog beds, water bowls, and a big bucket of toys lying around inside the house. There is also multiple doggie doors leading from the garage and into the house (both have slide door blockers as well if you need my dogs locked inside). I have my own apartment above the top floor that is separate from the rest of the house. There is an entrance at the back of the building, along with a wooden staircase that leads to my deck and apartment door. If you are boarding, your pets will be staying up here with me for the night. I am located on a quiet dirt road and can offer dog walks to get extra energy out. A bathtub is also available in my apartment if you’d like to give your pooch a soothing spa day (includes brushing, shampoo & conditioner, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and nail grinding) I love taking photos/videos, don’t hesitate to ask!
About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. I am an attentive, detail-oriented pet-sitter, who also knows the importance of respecting another person’s living space and maintaining routines for pets. After years of taking care of every size, shape and age of dog, no request from the owner is too wacky. From complicated medication directions to particular night time routines, I know your pet is part of your family and deserves to go about life as usual, despite mom/dad not being home. Reach out, I would love to connect! I work full-time fully remote! So while I will need WiFi and a desk to type on my laptop while I watch your pet, there is always time for walks, snuggles and whatever else your pet needs. My goal when I pet sit is to keep the pet in its normal environment and routine as much as possible. I am always very clean and respectful of any house I pet sit in.
“Micheala was fantastic with my dogs. They got to be part of her family for a week long vacation. They had plenty of room to roam about and fun playing with her family. Will definitely book again! ~ Michaela was also very accommodating with my flaky schedule!!! Thanks again!!”

About: I have experience with animals from Great Danes to Fancy rats. I have training experience as well with things such as potty training, walking etiquette, and a few show tricks. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. I have a small yard, and within a quarter mile from the nearest park. I can give potty breaks ever hour if need be, and I'm great at matching an animals energy level.
About: I have over 10 years of experience dog sitting. I am a huge animal lover, and would love to give your dog some extra attention while you are away. I grew up with dogs, and I have experience with dogs of varying shapes, sizes and personalities. I will be sure to send you photos and updates. I also have experience caring for cats and horses. Please let me know how I can help! I am available weekends and weekday mornings and evenings. I could be available during the work day on a case by case basis. I am unfortunately unable to host additional animals at my place, so I am happy to come to your place to watch/walk you dog, or care for other animals. Safety is my top priority. I always keep dogs on leash when outside, and I always ensure the inside space is safe and clean for your dog.
“We were in need of a replacement sitter for our dog Joey after her lifelong caregiver of 7 years retired. Lauren came through for us in a big way. Her quiet home and gentle nature were perfect for our girl and gave us peace of mind that she was in good hands while we were away visiting family. We will definitely continue to use her services going forward!”

“Kadie was absolutely incredible watching our two kitties while we were away for a week. She did everything perfectly, was communicative and kept us updated the whole time, and was just so kind, polite, and easy to work with. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. We felt so much better being away knowing our boys were in such good hands. We’re really grateful to have someone like her in the area and would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter! Thank you Kadie!!!”

“Alyx was a wonderful sitter. I enjoyed her enthusiasm for animals and felt very comfortable leaving my cats in her care. She sent lots of photos and was responsive and communicative. I'd be delighted to have her again.”

About: I have been taking care of cats my whole life from a young age and I have a cat of my own named Frankie who's a Maine coon. There have never not been cats in my home! I am very familiar sitting other peoples cats as I have been doing it for about 4 years. I also have experience administering medication/ insulin shots and I am always willing to learn how to administer any other medical necessities.
“Sarah is wonderful! I completely trust her with my sensitive and sometimes reactive Aussie mix, Gus! I was originally going to have Sarah just come by when I had a long day at work, but Gus has so much fun with her that we started doing regular weekly visits. She is very knowledgable of dog behavior, brings lots of fun and games, and is super easy with communication. I highly recommend having Sarah keep care of your dog!”

“Alyssa was very kind and prompt with responses & updates! They sent many pictures of my cats having the time of their lives and accommodated their separate diets. I would definitely book Alyssa again and trust them with anyone’s pets. Thank you again for being able check in on such short notice!!”

“We’ve known Kaylanna through Bath Brunswick Veterinary for years. We were so thrilled to find her here on Rover! Santo loves her! Kaylanna is kind, caring and responsive. We look forward to working with her again soon!”

About: I’ve owned cats my entire life. I’m the go to person in my family and friends group when someone needs help with their cats whether it’s getting medications into them or basic grooming. I’ve worked in a boarding facility where I cleaned up after cats daily and fed daily along with giving medications some oral and some injectable.
About: I have always had at least one pet in my household—the more the merrier! I have owned cats since childhood and currently have 4. Though I don’t currently have a dog, I love my friends’ and neighbors dogs as if they were my own and constantly drop by the visit and walk them. I am experienced with kittens and puppies as well as older pets. I currently work from home with very flexible hours, so I can usually come by with short notice! If you’d like me to stick around all day, I can bring my laptop and work from your home so that I can provide constant company for your pet. I have very few meetings during the day so I can provide lots of cuddles, walks, play, and attention all day long. I am well attuned to cat and dog body language and know when to provide space, take things slow to gain trust, and when pets are ready to play. I always make sure to keep dogs on leashes when they are outside, and as an owner of two escape artist cats I know to always make sure the doors are closed behind me! I know that pet owners know their pets best, so I will always listen to your experience and input regarding how to best care for your pet.

“Christi was super friendly and helpful. I have seven cats, which can be tricky to manage when feeding, but she took great care of them. Christi was awesome and will definitely reach out again if we need a pet sitter.”

“Breanna was incredibly detail oriented and excellent at communicating. Looking for someone to watch my cat with a chronic condition (CKD) who struggles to eat and requires multiple medications was very stressful for me. Breanna took down notes and asked follow up questions for my kitty’s care. I felt so relieved to leave my kitty with someone I knew could provide thoughtful care. She eased all my anxiety around leaving my medically complex cat with great updates and photos. I absolutely will book with Breanna again! She has given me a new confidence when planning adventures that require me to be away from my kitty.”

Also experienced with a variety of “no-pull” harness styles.
“We love having Craig & Chelsea take care of our cats while we are away. They are always so thoughtful and kind with the attention they give our cats. We can always trust they’ll give them the best care possible!”

“Brooke was terrific! She sent us plenty of photos, kept us up-to-date on our diabetic cat and was very comfortable calling or texting with questions (since we hadn't provided all of the answers). She was on time and extremely caring. We'll definitely be hiring her again.”

“Our little beagle was safe and comfortable for his day with Natalie. We appreciated Natalie’s responsiveness, and her openness about how Charlie would fit with other dogs in her care. It was all good!”

“Robin was excellent!! She was very attentive and sent lots of pictures and videos. My pup has some quirks, especially with big dogs but Robin knew exactly how to introduce Steiny to her dog Stella. Stella was also clearly a pro at dealing with the smaller more neurotic fuzz balls lol. It looked like they were best buds by the end. Very much appreciated Robin accommodating my last minute request! Will definitely be reaching out again.”

“Marissa watched our dogs when we went skiing. We felt totally comfortable leaving them with her! They had a great time at her house and she sent us pictures of their day. She was incredibly nice and we will definitely reach out again!!”

About: I have experience with puppies, training, dogs with anxiety, geriatric dogs and more. I also have experience with complex health needs and care in dogs. I work from home as a travel agent. I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. Since I have the ability to be with the dogs all day it made sense to offer my home and a family setting. Our dog Sweety sleeps with us at night and so do our guest dogs. Unless that isn’t happening at home. The dogs we care for are like family during their visit. We live in a very private setting. While we don’t have fencing, we do have a large private yard on a private dirt road. We live on 5 acres.
About: I have lots of experience working with animals, including time working at an animal hospital during high school, where I learned to care for pets of all kinds. I’m familiar with administering medications and meeting the unique needs of different animals. I am currently searching for a summer job while taking a couple summer classes while i finish my associate degree. My schedule is very open! In my home i have one dog a very friend golden retriever who loves playdates and we have a big yard by woods. I’m very attendant and anxious so i spend a lot of time outside with my dog and love going for walks
“Chelsea took such great care of our pup. We reached out to her last minute and she was available and eager to help us with our dog. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely reach out to her. Thanks again, Chelsea!!”

About: I have been walking and caring for pets for 2 years now, and it has been an awesome experience. I have been around pets my entire life and have always wanted a career that allowed me to meet and take care of different types of animals. I am reliable and honest which are important qualities when leaving your pet with someone. I will care for each pet like they are my own and will do whatever the owner needs to feel comfortable leaving there pet with me! I am 35 years old, live in Lewiston, ME. In addition to walking and caring for pets for the past 2 years, I have owned two different dogs over the past 15 years which further stamped my interest in developing a career involving animals! We are also located near parks which I take my own dog to on a daily basis

“As usual- Liseli was wonderful!! We received wonderful pictures and reports. It was great being able to enjoy a day with family and know that Elvis was getting some special loving of his own!”

“Molly is so sweet and kind it made leaving our baby a little easier. She was so understanding with our timeline changes and open to do whatever we need. She sent pictures and let me ask a million questions and it was peace of mind. I would 10/10 recommend Molly!!”

“We are so grateful we found Craig to dog sit for our puppy Enzo. Enzo is a highly energetic dog who takes some time to warm up to strangers, however, he took no time to adjust to Craig. Craig kept us updated through out the day with pictures and videos. We could tell right away that Enzo was having an awesome time. When we picked up Enzo he was tired (from all the fun he had with Penny) and overall just calm and happy. We highly recommend Craig for doggy care!”

About: Hello! I am new to Rover but I have been working with animals all my life from a very young age and I have been pet sitting for about 4 years. There were always pets in the home, mostly dogs and cats all my life and I have thorough experience being around animals and knowing how to take care of them. I took a major part in taking care of the puppies that my family bred most of my childhood, I have experience in working with a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, reptiles, roosters/chickens, horses, guinea pigs, etc. Besides working with my own pets I have been pet sitting for around 4 years now and have become very comfortable working with other peoples pets. I pride myself on my attention to detail and focus on making sure your pet/pets are as comfortable as possible. I am currently a student but most of my classes are online so I am very flexible and available pretty much every day of the week currently. I am able to be intuitive and approach every animal with the care and attention that is specific to their needs. I am sensitive to boundaries and always making sure to focus on listening to what they are communicating.

Im an artsy person; im in college for horticulture and I hope to work as an agricultural specialist. Veterinary assistant experience from York County Community College. I have five years of customer service experience. Looking for long-term work with friendly people who will make a list of specific details (if needed) for your pets. About: I have owned animals my whole life. Working with dogs is my passion. I have over a year of working with dogs in a shelter setting of all sizes and most breeds. I am fear free certified. I have handled more challenging dogs and really easy dogs. I know how to read a situation and think a head. I’m all about positive reinforcement and fear free. Any questions? I would love to chat! I’m looking to build my own client base from the ground up, working with dogs is my desire. I typically make my daily routine around work. The owners are in control. Tell me your pups needs, and I can provide them! A simple short walk, a hike, dropping in to feed and a quick potty break. I’m open to your needs and wants, do not hesitate to ask.
About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs and cats since childhood. In my more recent years I have dog sat for family members and neighbors. I have enjoyed being able to give peace of mind to them knowing their pets are safe, happy, and cared for. Owning a dog and cat myself I understand the stress and fear of having to leave your pets. Whether it’s work, vacation and other life events it can feel like you’re leaving a piece of your heart behind while you’re away. I strive to bridge that gap and be able to provide peace of mind. My dog is a rescue and came to me with some behavioral challenges: fear, reactivity, resource guarding and separation anxiety. Since being with me he is a thriving boy with manners and is learning new skills and tricks every week! That being said I don’t scare easily and have experience managing a variety of behaviors. I know from experience leaving a pet that has some big feelings at times can be even more challenging and thats where I come in. To offer you peace of mind knowing your dog or cat will be safe and cared for with me. I firmly believe in the saying no bad dogs and would love to get the opportunity to take one worry off your plate while you are away! I have summers off and am able to be around as much or as little as needed for your pet in the summers as that is a busy time for vacations. I do structured schedules with play, train walk and rest times with pets. I can also create scheduled enrichment times throughout our time together. I try to cater what we are doing based on needs of the dog so they are fulfilled.
“Kayla was terrific - great communication, reliable, timely, caring and concerned for our older dog. We were excited to work with her for the entire summer but sadly our dog passed away unexpectedly.”

About: Professional Groomer, trainer, accepting pets in home for extended stay. Farm, fence, full play room, individualized care, puppies and aged dogs welcome! It’s a dog’s life 🐾 Full availability, 7 days a week - holidays included! Active home with quiet spaces and experienced care. Full care and integration into our daily routine if it works for your pet - we’re up early, and on the go - lots of socialization (or not, if that’s your pups jam!) play, enrichment time and experiences. This is my full-time commitment and passion. My background includes Grooming, Training, Seminar’s in dog behavior, pet CPR and first aid, and running a large boarding and grooming facility. I am Licensed by the State of Maine for boarding 🐾 I utilize a lot of tools to keep everyone happy, healthy, and safe - kennels, gates, double leashes, double fencing, cameras (indoor and out!) and a very specific routine that I have found works for this little home. Please be aware - dogs need to be kennel trained to board here. I DO use them at feed time, and for nap times as needed, to keep all the dogs in my care safe. I ask that you send your dogs meals pre-packed, or in a reasonable (for their stay) container. Please leave “favorites “ that cannot be replaced at home. This includes beds! I provide fresh, daily, clean toys and blankets, plus raised cot beds. Feed time is 2X per day, with 2X per day “stimulation” snacks prior to nap time. I provide all snacks, but need to know if your pup has a special diet. If your dog has separation anxiety, I really need to know. It doesn’t mean I won’t take your dog, but it DOES mean I have to structure things differently for that particular stay, and rates will be discussed. My own dog has SA, so I understand; I just need the information to plan accordingly.

About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. As a working artist, taking the time to care for animals has been such a privilege and the perfect change of pace while I continue to work on creative projects. I have a German Shepherd that I keep separated from the work I do with other animals. I am located at a small farmhouse in Augusta that has a huge yard with two a-joining fields. There is more than enough room to explore the surround with your pet. I am also an avid walker so exercise is big for me generally.

I focus on keeping walks safe, enjoyable, and tailored to each dog’s comfort level and personality while maintaining close attention to their surroundings. For cat owners: I offer drop-in visits for a time frame we discuss beforehand and will make sure your cat’s daily needs are met. My goal is to provide dependable care and give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being treated with patience, kindness, and respect.

“Natalie helped Remy while we were in a squeeze for a sitter and could not have been more helpful. Remy loved her stay! Natalie was responsive and accommodating. Five stars are not enough!”

“We left our 15 lb Yorkie in the care of Elizabeth for three nights and were very pleased with the care she provided. He has special dietary requirements as he has colitis and Elizabeth fed him exactly as needed and he came home healthy and happy as could be. She sent us pictures of him every day out walking and in the house and he looked like he was having a ball. Either way I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her or use her again to look out for our dog while we are out of town.”
