This was my first time using her services for my dog Chloe, and I must admit, I was initially very nervous about leaving her with someone, as I had never left her in the care of another person before. However, from the moment I met Natalie, I could immediately sense her genuine love for animals. Chloe, who is a rescue and has a history as a breeder dog, is typically very cautious around new people. But, to my delight, Chloe was calm and even allowed Natalie to touch her, which was a huge step. When I expressed my concerns about Chloe potentially feeling abandoned, Natalie reassured me with warmth and confidence that Chloe would be just fine. Throughout my time away, Natalie was quick to respond to my check-ins, sending pictures of Chloe happily interacting with her children and another dog. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

I spent 10 plus years volunteering at various local dog rescues, assisted with managing the care of fourteen huskies on a local sled dog ranch, and have experience training service dogs through four different organizations. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

I am a recent high school graduate at I will be attending college at Smcc studying early childhood, I will be commuting to and from daily ( this makes me have a pretty flexible schedule to help! )I am free most days of the week and have 2 German Shepard dogs of my own ! Something that sets me apart from the other sitters is that I have experience with senior dog care and being able to take it slow, or if you have the complete opposite dog im able to meet their energy needs as well. About: I grew up having cats, dogs, and up to 14 rabbits at a time. I found a passion for caring for animals about eight years ago when I attended school to get my certification in Veterinary Assisting. During my time in school, I took an internship at my local animal shelter. I assisted in surgery, provided medical care, administered vaccinations, fed, and cleaned over 50 animals a day; I had my hands on every single animal that came through the shelter. Once my internship was over, they asked me to stay as an Isolation Technician and Veterinary assistant. I was employed there for a little over two years. After my time at the shelter, I worked as a Kennel Technician at a private practice that was much more laid back and routine. I would provide care for 1 dog to up to 60 at a time. These dogs ranged from many different breeds and temperaments. I worked there for a little under 4 years. Now, Unfortunately, I no longer work with animals, so I get my puppy fix by taking care of other people's pets. I cannot imagine my life without caring for animals or having them in my life. In my downtime, I will foster for the animal shelter I was once employed at. I will take feral/ nervous cats, bottle baby kittens, or sick animals whom I nurse back to health. I truly hope you can find comfort that your fur baby will be treated as one of my own. If you could ask one of my 5 cats, they'd gloat about how spoiled they are. Not only do I want your pet's visit to go well, but I also want their humans to remain stress-free and feel comfortable leaving their pets with me. I do not have a fenced-in yard, so I will need a leash and a collar/harness to walk them. We have a couple of big fields in our neighborhood that I like to bring the dogs down to and let them roam on my 40-foot leash. I have some dog toys at home in case they want to play. I clean these after each visit/use. Given my background, you can trust that I know how to act during an emergency, (let's hope this never happens). I would like to have the contact information of their vet. In case of an emergency, there are two emergency clinics in Maine, both about 30-45 minutes away. “I highly recommend Natalie as a sitter for anyone in need. This was my first time using her services for my dog Chloe, and I must admit, I was initially very nervous about leaving her with someone, as I had never left her in the care of another person before. However, from the moment I met Natalie, I could immediately sense her genuine love for animals. Chloe, who is a rescue and has a history as a breeder dog, is typically very cautious around new people. But, to my delight, Chloe was calm and even allowed Natalie to touch her, which was a huge step. When I expressed my concerns about Chloe potentially feeling abandoned, Natalie reassured me with warmth and confidence that Chloe would be just fine. Throughout my time away, Natalie was quick to respond to my check-ins, sending pictures of Chloe happily interacting with her children and another dog. It was evident that Chloe was having a wonderful time, which allowed me to relax and fully enjoy my vacation. I will definitely be using Natalie’s sitter services again in the future. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: I recently lost my 14 y/o Coonhound (Jazzy) She was the bestest girl in the world, and the best friend anyone could ask for. I am not ready for another dog just yet, but I would love to have another heartbeat in the house. My schedule is very flexible, in the event that I have to run some errands, I am happy to take your dog for a car ride with me. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a large backyard and in close proximity to trails for long walks that I often frequent. Also, I could not be happier to have your dog hang out on the couch with me while I read or work from home.
