“Natalie took great care of Fletcher! We were nervous to leave him for longer than we had before, but Natalie sent plenty of updates and pictures, and fletcher came home happy and tired ?”

“Kymberly and Robert are excellent dog sitters. We felt absolutely confident and comfortable that our dog was in good hands from the moment we dropped her off with Kymberly and Robert. They posted regular updates and were attentive in every way. It’s clear that they have a love of dogs and shared that love with our pup. I highly recommend them for your dog needs!”

“Finding someone that you can trust that will care for and love your fur baby as you do can be challenging. We were able to find someone and more in Robin. From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. Robin's compassion to take care of and spend time with animals is very clear. Remy even seemed a little sad after we picked him up and brought him home like he missed her and her fun dog Stella. We can't recommend Robin enough and we will definitely be using again!”

“I’m so happy we found Sergey at the last minute. My two dogs stayed with Sergey’s for six nights. They came home tired, happy, and clean. Sergey was extremely flexible with our timing when our travel was delayed. I would not hesitate to recommend Sergey as a pet sitter.”

“Our pup is a sensitive, nervous guy. Marna made sure he felt loved and at home. I could tell he was having fun with her family through the photos she sent. She filled us in each day and sent photos. 🤩 Will definitely use Marna again!”

“They were so fabulous!!! Watched my girl Winnie on my wedding night. They picked her up, dropped her off and were super flexible on what was a crazy day. Would definitely recommend!!!”

“Anne was wonderful! She gave so many updates on Phoebe while I was away and Phoebe was so well taken care of. I would recommend Anne to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”
“Louise is so happy getting out of the car at Elisabeth’s. She is so well cared for and Elisabeth always sends updates of what she’s up to and how much fun she’s having. So grateful to Elisabeth and highly recommend her and her sweet dogs!!”

“Claudia and Jason were wonderful with Lawson! They kept me updated throughout the day with plenty of pictures and details about their activities. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and they made sure Lawson was comfortable the entire time. I would absolutely recommend them to friends!”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. Spending time with animals truly makes me happy, and I would love to give your dog the same love, attention, and care that I would give my own. I’ve looked after dogs in my home and understand that every pet is unique. Some dogs love long walks and playtime, while others just want a quiet companion nearby. I’ll happily follow your dog’s routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. What really sets me apart is how much I genuinely care. I pay close attention to the little details, carefully follow your instructions, and treat every pet like family. I’ll also send regular photos and updates, so you’ll always know your furry friend is happy and well cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pet. I’m available for afternoon walks during the week, as well as boarding. Your dog will have regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. I always do my best to follow your pet’s usual schedule, so they feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. My home is a safe, pet-friendly environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. They will have plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. . My children are older. They’re gentle and respectful, and they’ll happily play with your dog if that’s something your dog enjoys. I’ll also send regular photo updates, so you’ll always know your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Our dog, Maggie was happy with Abigail and Neil. They sent a few photos. She has a lot of energy and I'm sure she kept their dog, Molly busy. I appreciate them allowing Maggie to roam free in their home and on furniture.”

“Breanna was fantastic! Our 10 month old puppy had a blast with her! She sent pictures and provided updates throughout his stay! Will definitely keep her in mind next time we are out of town!”

“Molly did a great job with our dog, Watson! Watson is an anxious boy, but in no time I received a picture of him asleep, cuddling on their couch. We'd be happy to work with Molly again!”

“Really appreciated working with Muriel H. Initially I was thinking Serge needed to be boarded and after discussions and meeting with Muriel we decided to go the home visit route instead. Worked out perfect, and I appreciated the photo updates and communications. Gave me much confidence in leaving a family member in the care of others. We now have a solid relationship with Muriel H. We intend on using her services as we move forward. Highly recommended.”

“Simon was so nice and welcoming, and my dogs seemed very happy. I got a bunch of pictures showing me how comfortable and at home my dogs felt from the first moment. We will certainly call Simon when we are in the area again!”

“Sridevi took wonderful care of my dog, Sasha. I had to book with her at the last minute because of a funeral and she could not have been more accommodating. Sasha was so content at her house in such a short period of time, I was very impressed. Sasha does not usually warm up to people so quickly, so I knew she was in good hands. 🐾”

“Christine was a lovely host for Bode’s week of summer camp. She was quick to reply, lovely to speak with, but most importantly seemed to really care about Bode’s wellbeing and happiness. She has a huge fenced in yard that he had free reign to, and a lovely in ground pool. We will absolutely book with her again!”

“Molly took our dog and guinea pig for ten days while we were out of town. It was the first time we have ever left our pets with a "stranger". Molly instantly put us at ease when we met her and our dog and hers quickly bonded. What's more is that our pup seemed to be looking for her playmates when she got home, almost sad to have left them behind! Thank you so much Molly for caring for our babies while we were gone - we will definitely be coming back to you in the future. :)”

“Abby does an amazing job taking care of our fur babies! I appreciate the pictures she sends from her visits. She even managed to get a pic of our super shy cat! I happily recommend Abby if you’re looking for a sitter.”

“Jonas has been great with our cat, spending videos and keeping us updated. They also waded through 17” of snow when we were out of town to feed our cat, and changed around their schedule to bring a package in for us before the snow came. Would highly recommend!”

“Amy truly went above and beyond for our dog, Finn. He can be a little shy at first and she took the time to gain his trust and meet him where he was at. She was very communicative and kept us in the loop about everything. I felt comfortable knowing that my dog was in good hands and will happily have Amy come for future visits.”

“Jenna was totally reliable even when a foot of snow dumped on Brunswick. My cats were obviously well-taken care of but happy to see their cat-mom again. Whole-heartedly recommend Jenna - very pleasant and obviously caring.”

“We’ve had Maricela watch our cats a number of times now and always feel confident that they will be well looked after. She always makes sure to keep us updated and sends lots of great pictures. We are very thankful for the great care she takes with our pets!”

“Craig and chelsea are our favorite cat sitters! They are so thorough and truly care for our cats. It was nice knowing they’d be there for them for the first half of our holiday trip.”

“Natalie is so wonderful with our two cats. She gives them extra love an attention when they need it and follows every instruction perfectly. She is very clear and prompt with her communication. I would highly recommend Natalie as a pet sitter and look forward to booking her again.”

“Rebecca was punctual and kind. Our dogs told us that she walked them around and they were happy to have her visit. Rebecca sent us pics and updates and we really appreciated her visits.”

“Brooke was terrific! She sent us plenty of photos, kept us up-to-date on our diabetic cat and was very comfortable calling or texting with questions (since we hadn't provided all of the answers). She was on time and extremely caring. We'll definitely be hiring her again.”

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that every cat has a unique personality and comfort level. Some cats love attention and playtime, while others prefer a quieter approach and need time to warm up to new people. I take the time to understand each cat's routine and respect their individual needs, helping them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I have hands-on experience caring for my own cat and know the importance of keeping feeding schedules consistent, maintaining a clean litter box, and providing plenty of affection and enrichment. I am patient, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I will treat your cat as if they were my own. My goal is to provide reliable care and give you peace of mind knowing your cat is happy, comfortable, and well cared for in your absence.
“Haleigh did an amazing job taking care of my two cats while we were away! She was very communicative and gave the kitties extra love while we were away. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I have had at least one dog at all times of my life, ranging from big to small and young to old. I’d say I have been the primary dog walker in my house since I was around 10 years old and have gradually added responsibilities over the years. I’ve been fortunate enough to help watch, walk, or check-in on friends and family pets for years now as well. I currently have two pups, both King Charles Cavaliers. I recently graduated with my Master’s and only working part-time this Summer while studying for my board exam. This allows for plenty of time throughout the week, or at potentially strange hours to do visits or walks. I am happy to offer check-in, walks, or even pet-sitting depending on how much notice I receive. I previously have had senior pets with varying needs and totally understand every situation is different. I’d be happy to follow any directions on specific caregiving for your pets and make them as comfortable and happy as I can.

“This was our first time leaving our cat and we were gone for over 8 days. Stephanie gave daily reports, uploaded photos, and let us know about any concerns. She even offered a spare water fountain for our cat when she diligently noticed he wasn’t drinking a lot of water. He’s happy we are home now, but makes me feel better we now have a great cat sitter for our next trip.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and have been relied on to walk, feed, and take care of them since I was very young. I have experience caring for pets of all ages! I am a currently a college student, but have lunch breaks everyday! I also get done with class around 3:30 and have the rest of the day to care for your pets! I love going on walks with dogs, playing with them, and of course, belly rubs! Love giving pets the love and attention that they deserve!

“Robin is so great! I’m thankful to have found her and Stella (her pup)! My 3-month old puppy was able to be cared for while I was away. Robin was super communicative and easy going.”

“Our little beagle was safe and comfortable for his day with Natalie. We appreciated Natalie’s responsiveness, and her openness about how Charlie would fit with other dogs in her care. It was all good!”

About: Hey there! I'm Evan, a proud dog dad to Ollie and Kylo. With a flexible work-from-home schedule, I can easily accommodate your pup's daycare, drop-in and walking needs at your convenience. I have a big yard for the dogs to play outside (supervised), great trails for walking/running and plenty of room inside for your furry friend to hang and relax. Your furry friend will enjoy fun, safe, and engaging walks, just like my own dogs do. Let's give your pup the best walking experience! Pet care is a fundamental part of my daily routine. As a dog dad to Ollie and Kylo, I ensure they receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection every day. My work-from-home schedule allows me to integrate their walks, playtime, and grooming into my day seamlessly. Each morning and evening, we go for walks to keep them healthy and happy as well as playing out in the yard. In my home, I provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for Ollie and Kylo by ensuring they have a consistent routine that includes regular exercise, balanced meals, and plenty of affection. I focus on maintaining a safe and clean living space, regularly grooming them, and keeping their toys and bedding fresh. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I prioritize understanding each pet's unique needs and routines. I follow any specific instructions provided by the owners, ensuring their pets receive the same level of care and attention they would at home. This includes feeding them according to their schedule, taking them for walks or play sessions, and maintaining any training or behavioral routines. I also make sure to keep the client's home clean and secure, leaving detailed updates on their pet's activities and well-being. My goal is to provide peace of mind to pet owners, knowing their beloved pets are in safe and caring hands.

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and I'd love the chance to care for your pets like they're my own. I'm a Maine native who recently moved back home after spending the last four years traveling and working as a professional dancer on a cruise ship. Now that I'm settled in Southern Maine, I'm excited to spend more time with animals! I'm an active, reliable, and patient person, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just having someone to keep them company, I'm happy to match their energy. I also understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'll always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I'll send plenty of photo updates, communicate throughout each visit, and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve while you're away. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, or just someone to give your pet extra love, I'd be honored to help. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize walks, drop-in visits, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day. I currently teach dance part-time and work remote during the day, but my schedule leaves plenty of time for pet care, and I love having animals as part of my everyday life. I’m an active person who enjoys getting outside, so walks, playtime, and keeping pets engaged are things I genuinely look forward to. I’m also someone who values consistency and routine, and I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet with the same attention, patience, and love I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible—following feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I know pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, so I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident that your pet is being well taken care of. My goal is to make your time away stress-free, knowing your furry friend is receiving plenty of love, attention, and companionship.
About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. As a videographer and Maine youth basketball coach I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule and spend a lot of time working from home editing videos. I’m fairly active, always happy to take breaks from work to walk around the neighborhood or find a pet-friendly beach to run around on. I’m in an apartment very close to Deering Oaks Park and the Western Prom. The apartment is a compact second story walk up and has been carefully maintained to keep it safe for curious noses.
“Lindsay was great! She gave us tips on where to find vegan food, where we could park our RV as we were going on a whale watching tour. She took Maddie for walks and sent us pictures. Maddie was very comfortable with Lindsay. Lindsay was always quick to answer when we had questions. We highly recommend her.”
About: I am a reliable pet sitter with several years of animal care experience. I provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care for dogs, cats and other pets of all sizes and ages! I am patient and committed to maintaining your pet’s routine while you are away. I offer dog boarding, drop-in visits, and doggy daycare. I live in a country setting with a very large backyard that provides plenty of space for exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I also have a beautiful walking trail and a 40 acre field directly off my backyard for dogs that love to run! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities! I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your pet care needs or to schedule a meet and greet! Since pet care is my full-time focus, I’m able to stay consistent with feeding times, potty breaks, and any special instructions. My schedule is built around the pets in my care, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care and maintain each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and at home. I have three small, friendly Chihuahuas and a cat. They’re all well behaved and have always done well with other animals. If needed, I can easily keep them on a separate floor to make sure visiting pets feel comfortable and have their own space.
“i would definitely book simon again! he was lovely and very accommodating. he gave a thorough report when i picked up my pet who came home calm and taken care of. i was also impressed by his own lovely, and nicely trained dog. that says a lot!”

“Emily and Kieran took a very good care of our dog! They were very accomodating even on the last minute notice, and were very flexible on the timing, which we really appreciate :) They took Ohsam out for a walk several times, gave lots of loves and cuddles. I can see Ohsam had a great time with the family! Would recommend them during our next visit in Portland. Thank you!!”

“Annie was fantastic! Winnie is not the easiest of dogs and Annie was gentle and patient with her. She found ways around things that Winnie doesn't enjoy, like being picked up, which is necessary because she can't do stairs.”

About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.
About: My husband used to train in the canine unit so he’s definitely taught me a thing or two! I’ve had cats my whole life as well! I am patient and loving towards all living beings. I enjoy pet sitting & loving them when their families aren’t around. I am also a nanny and have cared for many pets through the families I’ve cared for. I am available for boarding & daycare Friday-Sundays. Sometimes I have more availability but not always. I am open to being flexible as much as I possibly can. I have a large yard, house is a decent size so pets can all enjoy their own personal space or cuddle together. I don’t have an extra crate but I’d be happy to set one up (must be provided by owner).

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.
About: I've had cats my whole life.. they make life better and it's a big responsibility as well. I have taken many older cats in from the shelter and they had great lives with us. I can give meds as needed as well, or special foods. I can also go to your home for visits.
“Our pup was very happy at Kylie’s house. It was totally puppy-proof, she was attentive to our dog’s needs and she was easy to communicate with. Kylie and John seem like great people and we would be happy to use them again sometime.”

“Molly is so sweet and kind it made leaving our baby a little easier. She was so understanding with our timeline changes and open to do whatever we need. She sent pictures and let me ask a million questions and it was peace of mind. I would 10/10 recommend Molly!!”

Katie was great i'm about community back and forth about anything that she may have had questions about or vice versa. She also went out of her way and helped scoop out our cat's litter and clean up that area that they had made a mess while we were away. I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and trusted environment for every pet in my care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them out for a walk, I take the time to learn their routine, understand their needs, and build trust at their own pace. For dog owners: I am confident handling both large and small dogs, including those who may be reactive or require extra leash awareness. I focus on keeping walks safe, enjoyable, and tailored to each dog’s comfort level and personality while maintaining close attention to their surroundings. For cat owners: I offer drop-in visits for a time frame we discuss beforehand and will make sure your cat’s daily needs are met. Whether that includes feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I make each cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide dependable care and give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being treated with patience, kindness, and respect.

About: I’ve always been around dogs large and smalle large (grate Danes). Love all dogs. Will work with people if paying will be an issue. Just message me in advance! I can work with you in the early morning or in the late afternoon for them. My work schedule is set and dose not change. I have 2 of my own pets esa certified. I have advanced first aid training and love to take them on long walks if they need it!
About: Hi there! I'm a licensed veterinary nurse with a true passion for caring for animals — I absolutely love what I do! Over the years, I’ve had the joy of offering pet sitting services to my clients, giving them peace of mind knowing their beloved fur babies are in safe, loving hands while they’re away. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a game of fetch in the yard, or cozy cuddle time on the couch, I tailor each stay to what your pet loves most. If your pet has special needs, requires medication, or is recovering from surgery, you can rest assured — I have the experience and training to provide the extra care they need. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Let’s make their time away from you feel like a mini vacation of their own! Looking forward to connecting with you soon! I’m currently a manager at a veterinary hospital and work 3 days in the office and one day remote. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can provide care when needed. I will ask for detail instructions on routine and feedings. This way I don’t overwhelm pets with a different person in the home and stay as close to their daily routine as possible.

About: I grew up with two unruly labs (loves, but not the best behaved) and love all dogs and cats. In middle school I ran a successful pet sitting business in my neighborhood. I love to spend extra time hanging out with pets because I know it’s hard for them to be away from family. I am a recent college graduate working on my graduate school applications so I have ample time to dedicate to your animal’s needs and wellbeing! I have great attention to detail and will follow your instructions to a T regarding your pets needs. It’s hard enough for a pet to be away from their parents, why add to that stress? I like to meet dogs before I sit for them to become a familiar face and smell. I will provide a sense of routine for your animal and operate on their usual schedule so that their routine is as uninterrupted as possible.

“Natalie took great care of Fletcher! We were nervous to leave him for longer than we had before, but Natalie sent plenty of updates and pictures, and fletcher came home happy and tired ?”

“Claudia and Jason were wonderful with Lawson! They kept me updated throughout the day with plenty of pictures and details about their activities. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and they made sure Lawson was comfortable the entire time. I would absolutely recommend them to friends!”

“Hannah was so great with Scout! Scout was a little nervous being in a new setting, but it was very clear how much Hannah went out of her way to make her feel more comfortable!”

“Heidi has a perfect set up for our pup and she was very friendly and kept us up to date with pictures. He made a dog friend and had a blast, came home tired from all the fun. Can’t go wrong here!”

“great family who very clearly loves having a dog in the home. they treated my girl like it was her home. very open to let her wander through the house freely and vicky/her husband are very communicative during the stay texting updates each day. would recommend and use them again!”

About: I'm an experienced doggy foster, boarding more than 10 new-to-Maine rescues last year before adopting a sweet little pup of my own. As a new dog parent, I know how difficult it can be to find reliable, affordable, overnight care - plus a place my pup will actually enjoy! I routinely pet-sit for friends, and joined Rover to continue expanding my dog's social circle (she *loves* other dogs) while earning supplementary income. My pup, Marcy, is a 1-year old blackmouth cur. She's a regular at the dog park and very well socialized across a range of doggy personalities. I have a safe, calm house with a fenced-in yard. I also work remotely, meaning your dog would have lots of attention and a watchful eye. Although I'm primarily listing my offering as dog boarding at my home, Marcy and I are flexibile so long as there is reliable internet. So please reach out if you prefer boarding at your home instead. Note that Marcy is gentle not prey driven, though she's only been introduced to one cat. If you have kitties, let's do a meet-n-greet to ensure it's a good fit. Reach out with any questions! I work at home, with flexibility around meetings for walks, dog park trips, and potty/training breaks. I’m available to pet sit any day of the week. At my home: I have a 4 ft fenced-in yard for play time, which turns into an at-home dog park when Marcy has a visitor. Note that the fence isn't foolproof for an escape artist or high jumper. Dogs are allowed throughout the house and on couches, if they choose. Sleeping arrangements are flexible, especially knowing visiting pups can sometimes feel more comfortable sleeping in bed with a human. Marcy is crate-trained, and I have a large crate in case your pup needs a designated safe space.
“Justin was fabulous with our boy Seamus! He took Seamus on many hikes and walks with his precious dog Lulu and sent pictures and videos everyday. Justin went above and beyond for Seamus and even took him for a pup cup and gave him a bath. Seamus was beyond well cared for - he became a welcomed member of Justin's family. Would highly recommend Justin to care for anyone's pets - he was wonderful!”

“Kelly was SO AMAZING with Finny! He can be a little anxious and she was so kind to meet up before hand so he could feel more comfortable! She sent us so many pictures and updates and Finn had the best time- we will be booking again for sure!!! 5 paws!!!”

“Christina took great care of our dog! She provided fantastic photos and updates so we felt at ease. It’s clear how much she loves animals; highly recommend and will use her again in the future.”
