It was their first time boarding a pet so they were nervous and didn’t quite understand the rules of drop-off & pick-up, etc. ( although I explained to them in detail) Natalie was understanding and responsive. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: Growing up I’ve had pets ranging from dogs to reptiles. Spending time and taking care of them was never a job but a passion. From volunteering at animal shelters at a young age to pet sitting for friends and family, I continue to express my love and care for animals. I also have a 16 year old Portuguese Water Dog at home and she is my world! I currently work full time from 8am to 4pm Mon-Fri. Sitting for pets before and after my work hours on those days is no problem of mine if the owner is ok with them spending that period of time alone. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

About: Longtime dog lover and owner, current parent of a 9-year-old Siberian Husky service dog whom I trained to myself. I love dogs of all sizes and shapes and personalities and I can't wait to meet all the wonderful furkids that I'll be looking after in the future. I'm always telling people "I may have trouble remembering your name, but I will always remember your pet's name." Though I am small in stature I'm actually quite strong and can handle large/muscular dogs (and the occasional feral cat when necessary), because I just know how to move with them/guide them. I'm also not intimidated by aggressive behavior in animals, nor do I meet it with aggression in return. I always try to calm the animal and figure out the issue, putting myself between them and anyone/anything that might upset them further. I have a personality/presence that dogs seem to love, from the timid to the social, the calm to the active. I'm a fast walker, so your dog will certainly get a workout they'll love as they keep pace with me, but I can also meander when needed for the older dogs and fumbling puppies. I have experience doing basic grooming for dogs: bathing, brushing, shaving away mats, clipping nails, trimming the fur between pawpads, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears. I do not have experience doing "style" cuts for dogs. I know snake pet care as well, so feel free to inquire if you need someone to look after your danger noodle! Pet care is my primary work focus right now as I work through completing my online schooling towards getting my degree and Vet Tech licence. I have a backyard for your dog to play in alongside my very friendly Husky. It's not fenced in, but I keep a spare long-lead on-hand, same kind as I use for my girl, for guest dogs. If your dog is an especially strong one please let me know and I'll make sure to have an lead appropriate for your dogs weight strength available. Inside the house is dog-friendly and spacious, and I can crate your dog if needed. My dog is allowed on the couch and my bed, so do let me know if those are no-go areas for your dog. If your cat likes outside time I can provide walks and/or put them out in the backyard on the spare long-lead.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. About: I recently lost my 14 y/o Coonhound (Jazzy) She was the bestest girl in the world, and the best friend anyone could ask for.
