“We contacted Karen about watching our dogs we while we went whale watching. She was very easy to work with and very accommodating. She had our dog from 1 pm until 8 pm. We met at a halfway point for drop off and she returned the dog to us at the port in downtown Bar Harbor. She could not have been more accommodating aa our boat was a little bit late getting back into port. She is very nice and seems to genuinely care about the animals she watches. She sent me pictures throughout the day and text message updates. I would definitely recommend Karen and I would use her again. You do not need to have any worries about leaving your pet in her care. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. About: I used to work in a Kennel and worked with many different breeds of dogs and cats. I have worked with mean dogs and lovely dogs. I have worked with senior dogs as well. Growing up I have always had animals in my house and I always plan to. I work at a senior care facility in 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts. Seeing as I do work long shifts, my mother is able to run over and let dogs out during the day. I help a friend out at Dirigo Pines every so often, usually for 6 hours, but can take breaks. Other than that I just sit at the house I'm at amd relax. I dont get out of work late, usually six and feed dinner when I get home. I dont have any pets at the moment, but always have throughout my life. I have had a deaf cat, senior dogs and small animals. I can give medication if needed. I try to work with the owner's schedule as best as I can, as long as I'm available. **I accept last minute requests, especially in cases of emergencies, as long as I'm available. I live in a very safe neighborhood, however my yard is not fenced, so any dogs will need to come with a leash and collar or harness. I have experience walking large breeds and am okay with some tugging. As I do live in an apartment building, and my apartment is on the second story, there are stairs going up to my apartment. With small to medium breeds, if your dog doesn't mind being picked up, I have no problem carrying them up and down the stairs during their stay. Your pet will be safe in my care, as I have the time to keep my eyes on them and make sure they're both happy and healthy during their stay with me. I will be able to follow the feeding schedule/routine that is given to me for the pet and I will never ever give any pet food (outside of what's packed for them) or treats without explicit permission from the owner first unless prior permission is given (such as treats being packed for the pet in my care).

I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. I have a fenced/blocked back yard, another fur baby and plenty of room for them to play. Grass, gazebo and lawn Charis for them! The inside is spacious and safe for dogs and dog friendly cats.
About: I've been taking care of cats as long as I can remember. I don't currently have a dog but I frequently take care of my aunt's Great Pyrenees and I've taken care of many other dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and I'm free any day of the week for sitting. I would be happy to take care of any kind of dog or cat. I usually consult the owner and try to stick to the pets regular schedule as close as possible. I usually visit dogs three or four times a day and do one or two walks and for cats I visit once or twice a day or as many times as the owner would like.
