“Kate was a gem and truly saved us when we were in a pinch. My dog had a severe allergy flare up when we were on vacation and was in need of a rest day with some TLC. Kate and family went above and beyond to give him all of the blankets, cuddles, and relaxation he needed while we continued hiking in high humidity and wet conditions. I’m super careful about who cares for Tux and am glad I put my trust in Kate! We made it home without worsening Tux’s allergies, and he’s doing much better now.”

And the humans made sure Bella had daily walks in the woods, swim in the pond, chasing squirrels and chipmunks …so much so, Bella ate and slept well. This is a FIRST FOLKS! I was thinking Bella wouldn’t want to come back home she was having such an amazing time. I know Bella will miss her new human friends and Dhooney that is Bella’s newest best fur friend! To sum up… this stay was PAWSOME!”

About: What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like my own—with personalized care, plenty of attention, and a routine that keeps them happy and comfortable while you’re away. I’m not just stopping by to check a box; I’m here to give your pets genuine companionship and give you peace of mind. I’m self-employed, splitting my time between running my creative business from home and nannying, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to plan my days around pet care. This allows me to accommodate drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays while still giving each pet the time and attention they deserve. I primarily care for pets in their own homes, where they’re most comfortable! I love keeping their routines as normal as possible while giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. I’m also happy to provide overnight care when needed, so both pets and their owners can feel comfortable while they’re away.
“Five stars every single time! This was Dash’s second stay, and just like before, he came home completely exhausted and incredibly happy. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in the absolute best hands. Highly recommend!”

“We contacted Karen about watching our dogs we while we went whale watching. She was very easy to work with and very accommodating. She had our dog from 1 pm until 8 pm. We met at a halfway point for drop off and she returned the dog to us at the port in downtown Bar Harbor. She could not have been more accommodating aa our boat was a little bit late getting back into port. She is very nice and seems to genuinely care about the animals she watches. She sent me pictures throughout the day and text message updates. I would definitely recommend Karen and I would use her again. You do not need to have any worries about leaving your pet in her care. Thank you Karen.”

About: I’ve been known as a dog whisperer by family, dogs love me and I love dogs. I have raised 3 and owned 4 since the age of 12. I have grown a love for the animal and everything about them. Going on daily walks and making sure my pets always are paid attention too are my top priorities. Moving about to Maine I have found a love for cats the same I have for dogs. Cats were always misinterpreted in my family growing up. We never had one in the house and so I was hesitant in how I could live with 3 of them when moving out. That hesitation disappeared when I moved up here in 2024. I love cats as much as I do dogs now when I discovered they can be just as cuddly and playful, if not more, than dogs! Working part time my schedule is very flexible. Latest I’m available ranges each week. As long as I get some kind of message on what’s good for you I’m sure I can squeeze your pet in! I go off what the pet wants and how we can work around that so that I can provide my best care. Each dog is different so their dislikes and likes are something that needs to be expressed.

“Reanne is a delight and a completely reliable caregiver! We were so reassured knowing she was spending time with our cats while we were away for a week. We got photos at every visit and reports on their doings. 😊”

“I would highly recommend Gwen to anyone looking for a cat sitter. When one of my cats had a flare up of his urinary crystals while we were away, she quickly notified me of the change in his behavior. She was super responsive to my questions and was flexible when I needed a couple extra visits added on. She also was able to administer medications to my cat during his flare up. She took extra time to try and make sure my sick cat was relaxed and stress free while also giving my other cat had lots of love and attention. She took great pictures and left messages which eased my mind while I was away. I would book her again.”

“Jazlynne was amazing with our kitties! Great communication and she sent us so many pictures of them while they were gone :) would highly recommend her to anyone seeking care for their pets.”

“We were very happy with Anne’s drop-in visits with our cat! She sent pictures of our sweet girl cuddling and playing and I was very happy to know she was well taken care of while we were away!”

“Lily provided excellent care for our cat Hobson. Our directions were followed completely and we enjoyed the daily photos. Hobson is in excellent condition after this booking. We are very grateful.”

“Stesha did a superb job caring for our two cats. She deftly learned how to operate the Surefeed chip-activated feeders, and connected amiably with both cats. During one of the cats annual checkup today I told the vet what a wonderful job Stesha had done. She was unaware Rover was available here, and she said from our experience she would inform her clients about Rover.”

“Karen got along with our cats wonderfully. She coaxed the shy one out of hiding and immediately engaged the other. Couldn’t ask for a more gentle, caring, conscientious sitter.”

“Justin and Eva were great. They showed up on time, cleaned up more than we were expecting and gave us plenty of updates on our cats. Our shy cat even started staying in the same room while they were there which is huge. I highly recommend them.”

About: I have 15 years personal experience with large, high energy dogs. I have cared for puppies, and elderly dogs and cats, and toy size dogs. I work 12-4 M-F and can make mid day visits for potty breaks depending on distance from me. Outside of that, my schedule is open for anything your pet needs. I can care for your pet in whatever way you need and with whatever your home is equipped with. I am okay with leashed potty breaks, changing floor pads, or anything in between.

About: While I have more experience with dogs, many dog owners have cats as well. This has given me the opportunity to get to know many cats over the years and bond with both them and their owners. Looking forward to getting to know you and your cats!
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and horses. In 2023, I completed the Animal Behavior College Basic Dog Obedience Program along with additional certificate courses in Training Shelter Dogs, Doggie Daycare, and Teaching Private Lessons. I’m also Pet CPR certified. Beyond my education, I’ve worked professionally with dogs in a daycare environment where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities. I understand canine body language, recognize signs of stress or overstimulation, and always prioritize safety and positive experiences. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, young, or a senior, I take the time to get to know their individual needs. I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I’d want for my own pet. Caring for animals is already a big part of my life. I currently work professionally with dogs and genuinely enjoy spending my time with them. I’m available for dog walking on Fridays and weekends, and I make it a priority to give each dog my full attention during our time together. I understand that consistency is important, so I strive to be dependable, communicate with owners, and provide updates after each walk so you know your pup is happy and well cared for. Safety is always my top priority, whether I’m caring for my own pets or yours. I treat every dog as if they were a member of my own family, taking the time to get to know their personality, comfort level, and individual needs. Before every walk, I’ll make sure collars, harnesses, and leashes are properly fitted and secure. I stay aware of our surroundings, avoid potentially unsafe situations whenever possible, and always keep dogs safely leashed. I also pay close attention to each dog’s body language and behavior so I can recognize signs of stress, fear, fatigue, or overstimulation and adjust our walk accordingly. I’ll always follow your care instructions, including preferred walking routes, treats, medications (if applicable), and any training cues you’d like reinforced. After each visit, I’ll provide an update with photos so you can feel confident knowing your dog was safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is to provide every dog with a fun, enriching, and safe experience while giving you peace of mind that they’re being cared for with patience, kindness, and professionalism.

“Kyle was fantastic! Our boys were in great hands. Before we left Kyle was already playing fetch with our Aussie and later we got photos of our chihuahua sound asleep on his lap. Kyle is great at communicating and he’s extremely kind and professional. We’d absolutely use him again. Thanks, Kyle!”

“Amber was amazing with Finn! She was attentive, loving, and kept me very informed of how his day was going. She picked up on a war issue he was having and made sure I knew there may be an issue. I will DEFINITELY be booking with her again.”

“So happy we were able to get a last minute booking and was able to leave Mackie in such capable hands. Got feedback during the day and sitter was flexible about start and end times.”

“Mazzy had a great time with Paige. It was kind of a last-minute request but she was available, which helped a lot! Place was cozy and loving humans were ready to watch Mazzy which is so appreciated. Would recommend Oaige again 🙂”

“Joseph and his partner were fantastic. Our puppy was shy at the beginning, and they made her so comfortable. We were nervous to leave her, but they sent videos of her happily eating minutes after we left and of her playing with the other dogs soon after. They were also so accommodating. We dropped her off around dinner time to go to a concert in Bangor and picked her up late. When we picked her up, it was clear she had a great time. We would definitely come back!”

“Danielle welcomed Kassi into her calm home environment and took great care of her. She was responsive when we messaged her, and understanding of our fur baby’s quirks. Kassi even felt comfortable enough to eat a treat (something she never does day 1 in a new place). Highly recommend!”

“Our dog Rosie had the absolute best time with Charlotte and her two adorable dogs! We are staying near Acadia and attended a wedding during our stay. Charlotte took the very best care of Rosie and we were thrilled that our best girl had the time of our life while we were away. We loved getting photos and updates from Charlotte of Rosie playing and running around outside, playing with toys inside and snuggling up at night. It was so clear that our girl was totally comfortable and so very loved. Charlotte was so personable and kind as we planned the details of our trip, and totally flexible with our timing. Working with Charlotte was all around the most perfect experience. Thank you so much!”

I have two labs that are very friendly and playful, I also have the ability to crate dogs as well. “My dog had a great time with Lincey and her family and I received updates throughout the day confirming that she was safe and having fun. I was visiting the area for a few days and Lincey’s willingness to accept a last-minute booking made it possible for me to go kayaking secure in the knowledge that my fur-baby was well cared for and having a grand adventure of her own. Thanks Lincey!”

“Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She communicated quickly, and was super sweet. We loved all the pictures and Luna had a blast! We will definitely be using Jessica’s services again!”

About: I've been providing neighborhood pet care since I was 11. Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.

About: I have cared for the dogs and cats of family members, friends and coworkers when needed, for years. I personally have a dog and cat. My dog is a sweet boy but he is reactive to other dogs. Before him I had never worked with/known a dog that has reactive tendencies. I have learned a lot over the last 7-8 years about reactivity, especially dogs being reactive towards other dogs. I have cared for as many as three dogs and three cats at a time including puppies and senior dogs. I currently work full time but have developed a good schedule for when I do check in/drop ins for those I pet sit for. If someone is out of town and leaving their pets at home for a check in/drop-in schedule I would typically drop in, in the morning before work, around lunch time, around dinner time and again before bed if the owner requests. I have recently cared for three dogs and a cat for almost two weeks for a coworker and this schedule worked well. I will adhere to any instructions that a pet owner provides. I will make sure that the animals are well cared for and report any concerns I may have for the pets while caring for them. Whether it is a drop in to let a dog out to go to the bathroom at lunch time, walking a dog, feeding the pets, etc.
About: I grew up on a farm with horses, pigs, sheep, cows, a dog and a cat. I particpated at a young age taking care of them (feeding, brushing, removing manure). Throughout my life I have had personal pets as well as helped care for pets of family and friends. I currently work full-time remotely M-F 8:00am-5:00pm. I also have a 9 year old son. I am typically available weekday evenings after work and weekends. I have a runner that extends from the side entrance of my house to my detached garage with a partially fenced backyard. I live in a safe neighborhood and have great neighbors. Three of my neighbors on my street work for the police department.
“Justin and Eva were very happy and enthusiastic about meeting my dog, Bruce. They listened to all my recommendations and did a successful 1 hour walk, even in the rain! Very pleasant people to work with.”

“My experience with Stesha has been outstanding. She is consistently kind, caring, and highly responsible, demonstrating genuine attention and affection toward my dogs. She takes the time to engage with them, communicate, and ensure their comfort and safety during every walk. This gives me complete peace of mind. I confidently recommend her services to anyone seeking a dedicated and trustworthy pet care professional.”

About: Hello, my name is Kristopher Vladyka and I'm located right by the Bangor airport. I have years of experience taking care of both dogs and cats, as well as smaller animals such as rodents. I've been around pets for most of my life and I have been a pet owner for years. I have been a professional Sitter and Boarder on Rover since August 2021. Through my time as a professional pet sitter and pet boarder I have taken care of many different breeds, such as Maltese, Chihuahuas, German Shepherds, Labradoodles, Pitbulls, Boxers, Labs, Beagles, pugs, etc. I have also gained invaluable experience taking care of young puppies, elderly dogs, and dogs with special needs. I can administer oral medications as well as lift and carry dogs up to 50 pounds. With every client I try to go above and beyond during the stay. You can expect good quality pictures of your lovely pet as well as detailed updates on how the stay is going. Your pet will always come first when they are in my care, and will always be prioritized during the stay. Their happiness and safety matter most to me. I also take emergency or same-day bookings if my schedule allows for it, so if something happens please shoot me a message and I will do my best to work with you! **If you have financial issues, my pricing can be negotiated. I do this for my love of animals first and foremost, and I want to help people who need it, so please don't hesitate to ask about pricing if you can't afford the listed price. I'm currently working as a Professional pet sitter and pet boarder full time, so I have the time and energy to dedicate to taking care of your pets. As a fellow pet owner, I know that your pets are like family, so while they're in my care I'll treat them the same and make sure they are loved and cared for to the best of my ability. Also, because this is my full-time job, I am very flexible with drop-off/pick-up times and understand that they're often more of an estimate. I've taken dogs in as late as midnight, and have had them picked up at similar times. I try to work with the owner's schedule as best as I can, as long as I'm available. **I accept last minute requests, especially in cases of emergencies, as long as I'm available. I live in a very safe neighborhood, however my yard is not fenced, so any dogs will need to come with a leash and collar or harness. I have experience walking large breeds and am okay with some tugging. As I do live in an apartment building, and my apartment is on the second story, there are stairs going up to my apartment. With small to medium breeds, if your dog doesn't mind being picked up, I have no problem carrying them up and down the stairs during their stay. Your pet will be safe in my care, as I have the time to keep my eyes on them and make sure they're both happy and healthy during their stay with me. I will be able to follow the feeding schedule/routine that is given to me for the pet and I will never ever give any pet food (outside of what's packed for them) or treats without explicit permission from the owner first unless prior permission is given (such as treats being packed for the pet in my care).

I have integrated my son into my pets lives and they’re all best friends. Being with animals has always been a major part of my life! Currently not offering in home services, or house sitting services. However, when checking in or walking pups I do make sure water bowl is filled if I notice it’s low and I make sure to bring a pop up water bowl on long walks in the summer.

“I'd give ten stars if I could! My girls had an excellent experience staying with Joey! He was very responsive & sent multiple updates (pictures & videos) daily. He was also very accommodating with my girls needs & quirks :-). I will definitely use Joey again! THANK YOU!!!”
“Tyler was extremely patient and accommodating for my Harley and she felt right at home which is unlike her when new environments. I was extremely happy to see her so at ease and comfortable from the time I dropped off.”

“Nieves was amazing! I have always relied on family to watch any dogs I own but I stepped out of my comfort zone and was thoroughly impressed. Murphy and Chloe were so well taken care of by Nieves and her boyfriend. I received photos and video updates throughout their stay. It made being away from them so much easier. They were so loved!! We will be trusting them with our fur babies in the future for sure!!”

“Bailey took excellent care of our beagle Sam! He had a great time playing with the other dogs and exploring their big yard and farm fields. Bailey sent regular updates and photos so we knew Sam was happy and not missing us too much. We are so grateful to have such a great place to leave him when we travel!”

“Beyond impressed and thankful for Jessica’s care of my fur baby! She treated him as family, kept me updated with loads of updates and photos! I cannot expresses enough how much I recommend Jessica for dog sitting!! I will definitely be booking with her again for my next time away!”

“Thank you Danielle!! Spice and Coco have indicated that they had a great time. We are so thankful to have found you! It made our trip so much easier to go worry free. The girls seemed very relaxed and every picture you sent over our trip, showed how happy they were. Your attitude during the entire stay they had, was over the top. When our return flight was canceled, and it added an extra day to our trip, you again made us feel at ease. Can't thank you enough, and would use you again on our return next summer. Pat, Sue, Spice and Coco.”

“Molly took great care of Koda, and he enjoyed his home cooked meals there! I got updates about Koda and pictures throughout his stay and I am so glad I found Molly and Lenny for future visits!”

“Cannot thank charlotte and her husband enough for all their help this last weekend. They were amazing with our pup and have such a great little spot. Charlotte was so sweet and super communicative which is always so nice and reassuring. Would highly recommend them and can't wait for our next visit!”

“Where do I start! Melissa and Family are truly the BEST Rover experience we have had! EVER! The care Bella received was priceless! The house and grounds are a dog’s paradise!!!

“Nancy was awesome! My dog Maisie was loved and cared for as if she was part of the family. I received frequent updates and pics too! Maisie had a wonderful time. I would recommend Nancy and will certainly contact her next time I need dog care.”
