“Sophia was the ultimate pet boarding professional. Within a day, she understood our unusual dogs, recognizing how sweet they are. Knowing our little girl is an escape artist, she took great care to ensure her safety. Immediately, our girl trusted Sophia and followed her everywhere she could in the house. Sophia also understood our older boy, and he was calm and content when we picked him up at the end of the weeklong visit. I was impressed by Sophia's professionalism and by how much she cared about the well-being of our dogs. When the temps dropped lower than we anticipated, Sophia pulled out her own spare dog jacket to make sure our pups stayed warm enough on their daily walks. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our pups, Sophia!”

About: I have raised my own dog since she was ten weeks old, mentored by my father who has raised three litters of puppies throughout his life. I have also done pet-sitting for friends and family for dogs as small as beagle puppies to as large as a Labrador. I am currently on summer break from graduate school, but I take five- mile walks every morning year-round. As my classes are in the evening, I can fit dog-walking into my schedule in the mornings and early afternoons. I am attentive and responsible for my pets needs, and take pride in ensuring that the animals I care for are happy and healthy. I have a nine-year-old mixed breed dog who enjoys her daily walks and sunbathing on the deck, but does not enjoy the company of other dogs very much.

About: I owned a dog for 13 years before she passed away, I was in charge of feeding her and I would take care of her while my parents were gone. I also have watched cats several times while they’re owners are away. I work 2 part time jobs, so weekday care might look differently than the weekend, but I am always willing to try and fit watching your pet into it my schedule! When I had my own dog I would feed and give water to her everyday, take her out to potty multiple times a day, take her on walks, and play. With cats, I always make sure they’re fed and have water, litter box is clean, and if they would like to play I play with them!

“Once again an awesome experience with Misty and Fiona. They sent notes and pictures from every visit and we could clearly see that our girls were comfortable and well taken care of. This is the second of many more bookings in the future. Highly recommend- 5 stars”

About: I have lived with a dog my whole life. I walk, feed, and play with my 170 lbs mastiff. I also walk, feed, and play with my neighbors 3 dogs, one of which has trouble walking and getting up and down the steps. I just graduated from college and currently not working, which makes my schedule pretty free. I am open to early mornings and/ or late night walks and feeds! If the house does not have a fence I will keep a leash on at all times to help ensure the dogs safety and help prevent them from running away.

“Tanya was great to work with and was great with our two dogs. Our dogs are a bit tentative when meeting new people, so Tanya was great with letting them get acclimated with her before leashing them. She is very responsive and easy to work with!”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of cat breeds and have rescued 3 cats over the past 10 years. I nursed my kitten back to health during a kidney illness and also administered flea medication meticulously.

About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a mostly stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 3 year old and 6 year old and 1 year old. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and an outside cat. Professionally, I’ve worked as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler for an Iditarod musher! I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old and absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash a one year old Australian Shepherd and Littles a 15 year old Boston terrier mix. Both love to play!! Cash is still a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 15 and recently lost his sight He’ll try to keep up with Cash but mostly just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy (the love of my life) in their late twenties, some chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. Including injections I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.
“Katherine and her daughter are very friendly and took good care of our near 3-month old puppy. Our puppy came back relaxed and seemed to have a fulfilling day ☺️”

About: We have owned at least 2 dogs at any given time for the past 30 years and truly believe no home is complete without at least 4 paws. Our family currently has 3 dogs, with plenty of room for furry friend visitors in our 4500 square foot house and acre-and-a-half fenced in yard. I am a stay-at-home mom and my husband works from home so we are around the house at the beck and call of our dog guests 24/7. Our children have grown up with dogs of all kinds (we currently have a giant 3-year old male Great Pyrenees, a 14-year old mostly deaf female Bichon Frise, and a tiny 4 year old female chihuahua mix, who together have taught our kids how to be respectful and conscious of animals in all walks of life). That being said, for the safety of our household, we can only board dogs who are family-friendly. We are homebodies who enjoy staying in, so we are around and available nearly 24/7/365. We already care for our 3 dogs around-the-clock and would be honored to be trusted to add your dog to the mix as well. We have a fenced in yard to let dogs in and out on demand (which is already constant here anyway) and a laid back routine that can easily accommodate whatever else your pet might need. Our dogs are family members, and yours would be too for their entire stay with us. Never left alone and spoiled with attention, there isn’t a care in the world once they set foot in the door — fed, watered, walked, exercised, loved, and played with! Direct access from the house to the fenced-in backyard makes potty breaks a breeze and fresh air an easy bonus throughout the day.

“Did a great job with my dog. Great communication, got along well with my dog and we scheduled a meet and greet before the first walk. She sent pictures of my dog during the walk and after. Locked the house up fine. No issues. I would definitely use again.”

They sent lots of pictures so I could see my girl and how comfortable she was, particularly during a thunderstorm which she hates. I will definitely be booking with them in the future!”

“Sneha did a great job taking care of our Cavapoo Charlie while we were away. I could easily tell how happy he was with Sneha when we picked him up. Also, we forgot something at Sneha’s when we picked Charlie and went back to get it, Charlie made is amply clear that he loved seeing Sneha and wanted to jump out of the car to play with her.”

Our dogs are part of our family and I worry about them when we aren't with them, but Dan keeps in contact with the us the whole time we are gone with pictures and videos and our dogs always look so happy. We know they are in great hands and we can't wait to book him again!”

“Annette is truly an amazing dog host. She knows animal behavior so well. Her own pets are wonderful and our dog loved visiting as a guest. She is an expert with regard to introducing pets to one another. I wish he could go on a mini-vacation once a week!”

“Marylee (and her husband) were amazing!! I pick Rover people based on if I would want to stay with them lol!! At the meet and greet she was very thorough with her questions about the cat and dog and making sure all their needs were met. It felt like she has an understanding about the types of issues that could arise and how to deal with them. Very organized. Very attentive, warm loving people. I was sent updates and photos throughout my time away. Her yard is crazy big and beautiful and fenced in. My dog LOVED it! She was able to accommodate my daughter’s cat at the same time last minute. I felt so secure knowing they were being well taken care of while I was gone. Cat had her little cat tower and pictures of the cat by the glass door able to look outside and see everything. I am done searching for Rover people… will definitely use Marylee again. Excellent!!”

“We had a great experience with Rebecca! She took wonderful care of our Labrador, Lexi, over a busy holiday weekend, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and made sure Lexi was well cared for the entire time. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“Kacy and Justin were amazing with our fur baby! We were a bit anxious about leaving our puppy for the first time (especially for a full week), but Kacy and Justin helped ease our anxiety. They are very kind and provided daily updates with videos and photos. And they were very flexible when our flight was delayed and we were a bit late for pick-up. We would definitely recommend them and will be using them for any future dog boarding services!”

“Asher and Olivia had a wonderful time with Jason! We really appreciated Jason's frequency of communication. This was our first time boarding our puppies and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!”
