“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

“I usually don't leave reviews but I have to this time. Renee is amazing! We found ourselves needing a sitter for our 7 month old Golden Doodle for a week. I had never used the Rover app OR a dog boarding service before. I found Renee using the Star Sitters filter and I am so grateful to her. She was patient with all of my questions (before, during, and after the meeting and greet!) and immediately put my mind at ease. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dogs and has a very calm but assertive demeanor with them that made me confident she could handle our amped up puppy. About: While I have no cats of my own, I've been around these sweet creatures my whole life! From barn cats to itty bitty foster kittens, to the skittish and "velcro" cats. I'm experienced with giving cats injections for things such as diabetes and oral medications for heart troubles. I also know how important it is to come back to a nice smelling home, so trust the litter box will be cleaned!!

About: I have a 12 year old goldendoodle named Taffy who I have raised since she was a puppy. I have walked dogs and house sat for friends and family since I was young and will always take the opportunity to spend time with animals of all kinds! I recently graduated from UMD and I am taking a summer class to finish up my double degree. Otherwise my schedule should be fairly open and I should have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I also have 4 geckoes (2 leopards, a giant Madagascar day gecko, and my newest boy, a harlequin crested gecko!). I've dog-sat little dogs, big dogs, disabled and elderly dogs, as well as young pups and households with multiple animals! I will give you the best care, whether it be for your pets, home, or more! Right now I work part-time at a bakery on Sundays, and I am also a full-time college student! Thankfully, my schedule is very flexible and my attention will solely be on your furry friends. I always make sure to keep my client's homes clean and organized, and pay special attention to any extra tasks I'm giving, such as watering plants (I have dozens of plant babies!), changing the temperature, emptying dehumidifiers, and retrieving packages. Anything you need, I will do to the best of my abilities! I like to update my clients daily on their pets to ease their mind.
About: Ive been taking care of my neighbors, friends, and families pets for a little over 6 years now. Over the years I have learned many things about pets and how to calm them down and gently direct them in the right path. I also have lots of experience with senior dogs who need more attention to detail than younger dogs. Pet care fits into my daily routine quite well. Im a sophomore at frederick community college taking only one in person class, so my hours are almost always completely available! I am the dominant pet care taker in my home with two dogs (my angels). I care for pets in my clients home by greeting them and let them get to know me. If the client has a fenced in yard for me to take the dogs out and play thats amazing, but if not I take the dogs for nice walk to get them exercise and some entertainment. About: I have four dogs, three cats, two bearded dragons, a snake and a Tegu. Nothing brings me more joy than being surrounded by animals. You can feel safe knowing your fur baby will get plenty of love and attention! I am available everyday during the week mornings, afternoons and nights . I am also available most weekends. Most days I am even available on short notice in case you have an emergency. I have a fenced in yard if you need me to keep your fur baby at my home. If you prefer a crate I am able to provide that as well. If I am taking care of your fur baby in your home all I ask is that you give me a complete run down so I can care for him/her as you would. I have a lot of love and cuddles to give!
About: Simply put, I truly LOVE animals. I have always enjoyed spending time with, and playing with pets of all kinds. I will put your pets' needs above my own. I'm currently working full time, but I am usually home when not at work. I live 5 minutes away from my job, so I will always be available for your fur babies even while working if I need to be. I care for pets the same way I would care for a baby. Their needs are always more important than mine, and I will always make time for them. They also get plenty of attention and play time! Please note: I will have to crate them while at work. This is the ONLY time they will be crated. I will also be home around 1:30 for lunch to take your pet out for a potty break.
About: I have always had animals from reptiles, ferrets, dogs, cats and everything in between. I know life happens and sometimes we need help in giving them the love and care they need! I am available at anytime any day! Please let me know if there are any last minute adjustments but I should be able to make anything work. “Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

I had never used the Rover app OR a dog boarding service before. I found Renee using the Star Sitters filter and I am so grateful to her. She was patient with all of my questions (before, during, and after the meeting and greet!) and immediately put my mind at ease. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dogs and has a very calm but assertive demeanor with them that made me confident she could handle our amped up puppy.
