About: I have many years of experience working with animals not only from having them in my home since I was a child and owning them myself. I currently work and have worked at several jobs with different animals that were paid, internships, and volunteer. I own or have owned, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, goats, and mini pigs. When I was in my senior year of high school, I only had 1 class left to take to graduate and the rest of the time I interned at the local veterinary clinic. After being there for 3 days, they offered me a job. I worked there in the evenings after school. I volunteered at the local animal shelter where I ensured they had a clean and healthy environment for rehabilitation by cleaning cages and had toys for enrichment. When I graduated high school, during college I volunteered at the local humane society where I aided in the socialization of stray, abused, abandoned, and surrendered cats and dogs. I currently work part-time as an Animal Control Officer in another state where I perform investigations, explain local laws, codes, and ordinances relating to the care and control of animals and issue citations for violations. I capture stray and unlicensed animals, transport injured animals and provide for their care. I also maintain records and reports related to work performed. I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter where I assist with caring for the dogs, cats, and small animals. I am willing to work with any animal. Caring for them is my true passion. About: While I don't own a dog, I have been around them all my life, and have never know i dog I didn't love, or didn't love me. Rover has opened doors for me to meet and relate to new people and pets. I am a supervisor at my job and i also am in school as a grad student, so i take responsibility very seriously. As a dog sitter, I view this as an oppurtunity to connect with different people and of course animals. Also, forcing me to get outside and be more active! I would like to be able to walk your dog, complete check ins, and house sit. Unfortunatley, as much as I would like to, I cannot dog board with my current living status. I have been fostering since 2017 and have successful adopted out 11 dogs through Fetch WI rescue and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in DC. •• MY CARE APPROACH •• I aim to always provide high-quality and safe care by hosting AT MOST 2 dogs at a time (in addition to my resident dog, Kona). This is especially important to us as we know how crowded boarding facilities can be (AND sometimes sitters’ homes) and the stress this can cause on dogs. “Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. About: Student at the university of Notre Dame. Home for winter break! Looking for some extra cash. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I think I was 8 years old when my mom started letting me walk our family dog on my own. Once he passed, we got a puppy, maxie who became my dog. I was the one that took him out in the middle of the night when he was a puppy and took him on all his walks. In addition to my own dogs care, I have been trusted countless times by family, friends and neighbors to dog sit/walk and have had only positive feedback! Lastly, I grew up riding horses so have a lot of experiencing caring for even bigger animals! I’m currently home for the summer from college working an internship that is only 20-30 hours a week. I mostly work that job on Tuesday and Wednesday so I am available to pet sit at almost any time all other days. (I’m even available Tuesday/Wednesday mornings before 10 and evenings after 6PM) I hope to fit your dogs needs into my schedule! I am not afraid of a dog that may bark at me when I first meet them. “Ameneh and Niki went far above and beyond while sitting our Shiba Inu during January 2026. We had not one but three plane cancellations due to the large winter storm resulting us being unable to pick up our dog for an entire week longer than expected. Ameneh was very flexible and highly responsive to messages, assuring us that our boy would be well cared for despite our delay and sending frequent pictures. Most significantly, our dog suffers from seizures and takes medicine to prevent them - when he ran out of seizure medication, Ameneh and Niki traveled to our house and retrieved more medication. I would undoubtedly recommend them to care for your pet as they will make every effort to keep your pet safe and happy; even in extremely extenuating circumstances!”
