About: I've been caring for cats for most of my life, both personally and professionally. I grew up with cats and later worked in the cat room at a local humane society, where I fed the cats, cleaned their cages and litter boxes, and spent time socializing and playing with them. That's also where I met Penny, the first cat I adopted on my own after falling in love with her while caring for her at the shelter. I especially enjoy taking care of older or quiet cats who might need time to decide if they like a new person. My current cat, Millie, is a shy senior, so I am used to letting a cat set the pace. I am more used to smaller dogs, but one of my current 2 dogs is a 54lb pitt-bull, the other one is a 15lb pug mix. I also used to take care of a 70lb standard poodle for a family I was a nanny for. “Huey took such great care of my pupper Winky, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Winky can be super shy at first, so I always get nervous leaving him with someone new, but he got comfortable with Huey so quickly it was amazing! She has two super friendly dogs of her own(a little bichon and a corgi), and they got along so well with Winky which is awesome. She also sent me updates and photos during the stay and it looked like he was completely relaxed and having the best time. I also added on grooming during his stay, since she’s also a home based groomer and did such an amazing job(she told me she has 20 years of grooming experience!!) Winky came home looking so clean and adorable with the cutest haircut! You can really tell she has a ton of experience with dogs and genuinely cares about them. I’d absolutely book with Huey again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and caring for their pup!”

“Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. Your dog will have the best day and you’ll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs throughout my whole life. 2 years ago I finally was able to get my own dog who isa German shepherd mix that I take care of full time! I have experience with both small and big dogs and also am able to deal with reactive dogs as well. I’m currently employed part time and available almost any day throughout the week. About: Dog boarding: I have 16 years experience for caring for dogs at home including multiple dogs at a time. Additionally I have six years experience with dog sitting/boarding. My main availability would be Monday-Saturday where I have a hybrid/WFH schedule meaning constant attention and activities for the dogs to be a part of most days of the week. Dog walking: My main availability would be Monday-Friday. I live right by Rock Creek Park so there are plenty of trails nearby to avoid busy streets on walks. Also available to commute through the DMV area for any service. I myself decided to join this app because I have always love helping dog owners provide the best life experience for their fur babies. I understand that sometimes it takes a village to have a dog/cat constantly looked after. With this I thought that dog boarding and sitting could be a great experience for the dogs and cats alike as I’m a high energy person who loves the outdoors. (Tips are encouraged and greatly appreciated) I work from home so I’m able to constantly give dogs/cats attention. This means constant potty breaks, multiple walks a day with varying duration, and lots and lots of affection. In my home I have two friendly dogs (crate-trained) and a doggy door with access to a fenced yard. Nearby there are also walking trails and parks away from busy roads for the dogs to roam.

“Ameneh and Niki went far above and beyond while sitting our Shiba Inu during January 2026. We had not one but three plane cancellations due to the large winter storm resulting us being unable to pick up our dog for an entire week longer than expected. Ameneh was very flexible and highly responsive to messages, assuring us that our boy would be well cared for despite our delay and sending frequent pictures. Most significantly, our dog suffers from seizures and takes medicine to prevent them - when he ran out of seizure medication, Ameneh and Niki traveled to our house and retrieved more medication. I would undoubtedly recommend them to care for your pet as they will make every effort to keep your pet safe and happy; even in extremely extenuating circumstances!”
