About: Apart from the 9 years I was in the Navy, there has never been a time in my life where there wasn't a cat in my household. The cats we had were often my only friends, and they often display a depth of emotion, personality and intelligence that society sadly tends to dismiss. I have three senior cats of my own, so I am experienced in administering pills and supplements (I am not experienced in injections, though). All three of my cats are also harness and leash trained, and Mango knows how to open doors and lead me to exactly what he wants!

I’m familiar with ensuring the environment is right for your dog. I previously owned a dog with high anxiety and wasn’t friendly with strangers. I understand the importance of making sure your guidelines for your pet are followed. I can give oral medications, follow your training rules, walk large dogs, handle dogs that aren’t friendly with strangers, high anxiety, and have disabilities (ex. Deaf, blind). I am happy to chat or meet prior to booking to ensure I am a good fit for your pup! I believe in open communication to ensure the safety of you, your pet, me and mine. I work fully remote and am able to support daycare and boarding. I usually walk my dog morning, mid day and evening for 30 min to an hour at a time. I’d like to be able to support other people who need assistance. During the week your dog won’t be left alone for more than an hour depending on drop off and pick up time. During the weekend your dog won’t be left longer than 3-4 hours depending. We can always communicate your dogs specific needs to accommodate! I have a fenced yard in our home and a friendly, playful 2 year old male lab (fixed). If your dog is in my home, they do need to be friendly with other dogs. This is to ensure the safety of my dog and if I am boarding or hosting daycare for another dog. During the week I do work full time so there are times where I am in meetings so it is preferred your dog is not destructive, okay without supervision, or is okay in a crate or enclosed room. I communicate my anticipated work schedule and plan for the day with the pet owner.

About: I've had dogs my whole life and love playing with and training them. I unfortunately lost Axel, my shepherd/husky mix, last year. But I still have Harley (technically my boyfriend's, but we've lived together 3 years now). Harley is a sweet, 4-year-old, 40 lb spayed female mystery mix who loves to play, especially with other dogs. We go for lots of walks each day and we like playing, learning and practicing tricks. She knows the basics and can also spin, place, go around you, and now we're practicing crawl. I think people could learn a lot from dogs if they paid more attention. I've started dog sitting for neighbors the past few years and always enjoy getting to know new dogs. One of my favorite dogs I've cared for is Goose, a 5-year-old male Chesapeake Bay retriever. I also work managing a restaurant in town and do graphic design part-time from home as well. I work managing a restaurant downtown in Annapolis, and also do freelance graphic design work from home. Except for Mondays, my shifts at the restaurant are all p.m. shifts so I'm home and available most days anytime before 3:00. I'm off from the restaurant on Tuesdays and Fridays. I currently have and have always had dogs so I'm very used to going for multiple walks a day. I live in an apartment downtown in Annapolis. We currently do not have a yard; however, we go for a lot of walks and still spend a lot of time outside at parks and just hanging out in front of the apartment to people (and dog) watch. I have a crate, and my dog is crate-trained, so if/when your pup is over, I'm prepared to separate them if needed.

I have lots of experience in caring for animals from reptiles to mammals. I am very physically active and love to spend time outside so long walks and exercise is both fun for me and your pet. About: I grew up around big dogs and cats, so I’m familiar with reading animal behavior. Dog walker and cat socialization volunteer at local animal shelter near college. I’m currently taking a class that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, but other than that (and studying) my days are free! About: I have 4 years of pet experience. I have a 4 year old Maltese and have helped my family with their dogs for many years when they go on vacation. I walk the dogs, feed them, play with them, I do take them on car rides etc to make sure they’re happy and healthy. Dogs say I have a good sense of humor they really warm up to me. About: Hi everyone this is an update as of July 2026. I am a retired American Airlines Flight Attendant. I like to travel, do volunteer work, workout, meet my good women friends for coffee, lunch, etc, and spend time with my partner (a retired pilot). We occasionally sit together and he enjoys all my lovable pets as much as I do. I am about as risk free and responsible as they come! Hopefully, I can help out those who need pet/ house sitting. Also available if you just need someone to come for a few hours. These services are for dogs under 20 lbs and cats. If you have larger dogs that do not require walking, I can let them in and out (if you have a fenced in backyard) play with them, exercise, feed, water, meds, etc. Otherwise, if they need walking I need to stick to the under 20lbs. I can sit and housesit/ visit cats also, my only request is that there is a room for me to sleep in that the cats do not use. Yes, I am slightly allergic and I do wear my mask when brushing them. I have unfortunately, put my Bichon/ Maltese of 16 years down about 4 years ago. So I do not own a dog or cat at present. She had a collapsed trachea and some heart issues and was starting to have high risk seizures at 16. Hence, I am familiar with elder dogs and giving them medications. Before Maddie I had a female golden who lived to be 15 and 1/2. I have also owned two cats over my lifetime. Thank you for your interest and let me know if I can help you out. “Candice was amazing with my dog, Nagi. This was the first trip my family and I had taken since getting her, so leaving her with someone new made us a little nervous at first. We chose Candice based on her profile and reviews, and she absolutely did not disappoint. My family and I were able to fully enjoy our spring break trip knowing our pup was in excellent hands. Candice provided lots of updates with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to Nagi while we were away. Nagi decided she didn’t want to use the stairs for the first few days of her stay, but Candice was incredibly patient and treated her like one of her own pups the entire time. She even carried Nagi up and down the stairs until she felt comfortable enough to use them like she normally does. Halfway through Nagi’s 1 week stay, she started having an upset tummy. Candice went above and beyond by picking up medicine for her, feeding her boiled chicken and rice, and taking care of multiple accidents when Nagi couldn’t make it outside in time. Candice also has a pup of her own, Rayne, which made Nagi’s stay even more fun. It was clear Nagi had a wonderful time and felt comfortable there. When we picked her up, she looked so happy, relaxed, and content, which told me everything I needed to know about how well she was cared for. If we ever need a sitter again, I would absolutely book with Candice again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter.”

About: As stated, I have an 8 almost 8 year old German Shepherd myself. I’ve trained him myself to be quite obedient off leash, to listen well, and overall he’s very well behaved. I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, turtles and more so I know my way around animals. I’m currently enlisted in the United States Navy. I work at the Naval Academy typically from around 9 in the morning to about 3pm most days. I’m also married with two kids and my wife is a stay at home mom who can also look after your furry friends as well. I don’t work weekends so I’m always available during the weekends and can be flexible throughout the week as well. At my home my dog is never crated he is always out and house trained. However, when looking after your fur babies if they need to be crated I have no issue catering to your needs. I don’t have a yard but we have a massive field and live in a circle so long walks are always a must. Whatever the needs of your fur babies, I can take care of those from daily dog walking, spending and playing time with your animals, staying over night at yours/my place, and giving g medicine if needed.
