About: I’ve had and loved animals my whole life and have experience watching all sorts of animals in all shapes age and size. My hope is for both pets and parents to be so comfortable with me that being separated is stressfree ! I currently work roughly 9am -3:30 pm M-F. I am available to feed or let whoever out during lunch as well! Weekends I’m free all day !! I’m unable to bring animals into my home but am happy to visit and hangout with them in their homes!! About: I have personally owned cats for the past 20+ years. I rescued my first cat Amos, as a stray kitten. He was my first pet that I had on my own after moving into my first apartment. We spent 17 wonderful years together. I have since rescued many other pets, including senior cats and I am very comfortable with medication administration, physical ambulatory assistance, and incontinence support. I currently have 2 cats: 7 year old siblings, Henry & Dinah - also 2 stray kittens dropped off at my old farmhouse.

About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. “We knew the minute Heidi met us at the door for our Meet and Greet with Tux, our 13-year old Bichon-Poodle, that we had found the perfect sitter. My in laws live on an island in the Caribbean and whenever we visit we care for the many stray animals that are on the island! About: **please note I have a day job that takes me away from my house M-F from 5:30am until 4:15pm…all boarded pets will be let out to potty immediately upon returning home ** I have been taken care of dogs for over 15 years. My first dog 2 when I adopted him and I cared for him until he crossed over the rainbow bridge when he passed at 10yrs old. I also raised two puppies from 8 weeks until they crossed over as well. I work full time away from home Monday thru Friday, so your pet would be alone for about 8hrs week days. About: I took care of my shih tzu for 12 years, he recently passed of old age. I had dogs growing up but Oreo was the first that really attached to me. He whined if he couldn't get into the bathroom with me. He slept in my bed with me until he got too old to be that high up without supervision. I gave him embarassing mom haircuts for 10 years because I knew he hated the entire experience of going to the groomers and I wanted to spare him the discomfort. I was always looking for ways to make that dog more comfortable. I have experience in caring for senior dogs, so you can rest assured I will do everything I can for your senior furbabies' comfort. I'm currently working part-time weekdays caring for children but my weekends are open for watching your fur babies!! I usually wake up around 10-11am so I can be available any time after that Friday-Sunday! I always check the water after being gone to make sure there's still enough in there and that it's clean, and feed the cats 3 times a day when possible. Some days just twice usually when I have work. I am happy to follow whatever feeding schedule you have for your fur babies! I also try to brush the cats once a day to cut down on shedding. About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
About: In my 18 years of caring for my "fur children", 4 of them have been done professionally during summer, winter, and spring breaks of my college life.
