“Cynthia was great with my 1 1/2 year old Sheltie. She allowed us to meet her and her pup a couple of weeks before our vacation, to make sure we all were comfortable with each other. About: Ive owned dogs and cats since I was seven years old and grew up around animals my entire life. I currently have two large dogs and one medium dog that I trained and take care of. I have house sat for three families, with two medium to large dogs and a family with a medium dog and a puppy, each for a week at a time. I am comfortable with all animals including reptiles and can confidently handle large dogs. More than the physical aspects of caring for animals, I love to love on them with lots of pets and affection. Many animals are drawn to me despite being hesistant or fearful of people. “Mike did a great job for us. We were away for an extended vacation. He kept us well informed about our cats but also things at our home. A neighbor left mail on our porch and an outdoor ornament blew off our house. He notified us on both issues. The ornaments were brought in and he checked our community mailbox to confirm our mail was being held by USPS. During our vacation we received a boil water notice; We informed Mike and he brought bottled water for our pets. It’s the second time we used him and I’m sure we will be using his services again.”
About: I was a cat sitter during my first few years of high school. My neighbor was out of state and asked me to take care of her cat. During this time, I would visit at minimum, three times a day to make sure the cat had food and water, had some playtime, and to clean and freshen the litter box. The owner had specific instructions for feeding that I would follow and prepare accordingly. Like dogs, I have a special place in my heart for cats and I always make sure their needs are fulfilled.

About: I currently have my own cat who originally was a feral cat. I grew up with at least one dog and one cat at all times. I help watch my sister's cats and I have given her older cat liquid medication by mouth for pain. About: I’ve been dog walking and sitting for neighbors since I was 12 years old. I’ve dog sat multiple types of dogs. I’ve done dog walking, check-in & potty break visits, and I’ve stayed at a clients home for long periods of time (5+ days) to be with their pups. I feed them every morning and night or make sure the food bowl is full depending on how the client feeds their dogs. I give them any medicine or joint tablets that they need to be well. I let them out multiple times a day whenever they need it. And I try to play with and pet them as much as I can while I’m there so they don’t miss their humans too much. About: I own It takes a village animal rescue, though I am taking a 2 year break, I have had 451 dogs come through my rescue in the last 10 years. I can help with house training, and basic puppy skills. I have probably had about 100 plus puppies in the last 10 years. I have a facebook account for the rescue and you can see all that My Volunteers and I have done over the years. Pet care has been a way of life for me for the last 10 years, I own an animal rescue, but am taking a 2 year hiatus, but miss haveing dogs around all day. (It may sound silly, but I have found that offensive times, relaxing and reading a bedtime story out loud, often helps to calm a pets anxiety levels. I have even had success in this with pets that have high anxiety and destructive/aggressive behavior for storms and loud noises when they were out of their medication) * A calming, loving, family experience for your fur baby. Always. * Picture, video, and message updates about your pet! * Play time and exercise! * Trust that I will follow strict instructions and schedules if given. Routine is important. * Trust that your pup is being cared for someone experienced in emergency and medical situations. I will act quickly and always do what is best for your pet! In anything I do, I ensure your dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I treat all pets like they are family and build genuine bonds. Communication is key, so it is important that you not only communicate as much information about your dog to me so I can give the best experience, but also that you receive full reports on behavior, any changes I may have noticed in your pup, subtle signs of potential health concerns, etc. I will also work with your dog on basic training if needed during their stays, and educated you as needed on grooming maintenance, your pets body language and behavior shifts to elevate your bond at home as well. I do offer grooming services for any pets in my care. However, pricing and service completion will depend on the size of your dog, condition your pet is in, and their stress levels. I will never force a pet through a service. I am generally home all day. I do work as a groomer for pets that are unable to got to salons, but I do this from home as well. So your pets will have round the clock love and care. You will need to provide any food and specific treats if your pet has a favorite or dietary restrictions/allergies. Pets are family. I will personally take them for walks throughout the day for fresh air and exercise, play with them and ensure they feel comfortable and lived while you are away. I do offer creating services, however, depending on the size of your dog, you may have to supply the crate. You pet will always be treated like family, but the details of their routine and activities will depend on your instructions. I respect that different lifestyles require different things (i.e crating vs free roam, scheduled feeding vs grazing, scheduled walks/potty breaks vs whenever they want to go out, etc.) and will maintain that sense of normalcy as much as possible. If you opt for grooming, and I am able to comfortably groom your dog, grooming will take place 1-2 days before your return. That way they have time to decompress after, and if they are stressed for parts, it gives leeway to do little bits over time.

First, I have always shown love and care to every dog that I have met and all these dogs have responded in a positive manner. Second, I believe in a healthy lifestyle for my dogs (as well as myself, haha) and take my dogs for walks everyday, and feeding them their recommended portion of dog food with minimal people food. Third, keeping my dogs on a daily routine helps tremendously as well as their owners. Growing up I have had a Schnauzer (Mickey), Springer Spaniel (Snickers), Springer Spaniel (Princess), two box turtles (Fred and Wilma), and currently own two Puggles (Liberty & Bell). I have two dogs of my own that each have different medical and dietary needs. I am comfortable walking and caring for your pets and always have time to address any concerns pet owners have. About: I am new here and I am excited to begin this part of my journey! I am also a mother of 3 magical human beings, a shamanic reiki student, hospice companion and a volunteer at my local animal care shelter. Over the last few years I have been learning to live with chronic illness and I have found a lot of healing spending time with animals of all kinds. Mondays & Tuesdays I am available between 9:30AM - 2:30PM. Wednesdays through Fridays, I am also available in the morning and evening. Ask about weekends - I might have availability! It is my goal to lead with care, respect and play. I am a sensitive soul and I do my best to approach each pet gently and with consideration for who they are and what they need.
About: Throughout high school and now college I have sat for dogs and cats. I have taken care of many dogs, playing with them, feeding, walks and even cleaning up behind them. With cats I have played, fed, and cleaned out litter boxes. Although I have not done it officially besides friends and family, I want to help you take care of your animals just as if they were my own with love and happiness. I also have a family dog that I have taught to do tricks and helped potty train. I currently work part-time at a grocery store. Most times I work 8am to 2pm so I can take care of your animals before I go to work and after. Even if the there needs to be a drop in, I could take care during working hours as well. Every animal will be treated with love and care. I will stick to a routine that the owner may have and if crating is needed I could do so safely for both me and your pet.
About: Although my family has never owned a dog, I have always loved taking care of my aunts, neighbors, and family friends dogs. I always make sure to pay attention to detail when watching a dog and meet each dogs needs whether that be a walk, playing with a toy, belly rubs, or even just relaxing. As a part-time graduate student at USM, I will have time during the day for a dog walk, or to check-in on your pup! I will be available on most weekends for house and dog sitting. I am available to come to your dog and stay with him/her so they do not have to move out of their comfortable environment and stay at a new space with new people.

I honestly don’t think Dodger realized he was being “boarded.” He thought he was on vacation with his new cousins, new uncles, and his new favorite person on earth (Dan 😆). From the minute we dropped him off, Jess was so reassuring and kind. She sent constant updates, pictures, and little stories that made my heart feel so much better. And not just “here’s your dog existing” pictures…NO. We’re talking: *Dodger cuddling her husband like they’ve been best buds for 10 years *Dodger snuggled up with her youngest like they were watching Saturday morning cartoons *Dodger and Tanner acting like long-lost brothers reunited *Dodger eating, relaxing, wagging his tail like a helicopter blade *Dodger getting a whole spa bath after rolling in the yard mud 😭💀 He even chewed through a Kong, which honestly deserves its own award. I warned her he was a super chewer, but I don’t think ANYONE was ready for him to destroy the “indestructible” toy. She just laughed and sent pictures like, “Welp, he’s having the time of his life.” 😂 The whole time she made sure I felt comfortable…even when my baby stole my phone and I panicked thinking I missed messages 😅 She was patient, flexible, and genuinely cared about him AND about us. Dodger came home happy, clean, tired, and FULL of love. His tail literally didn’t stop wagging the entire stay. And I’m pretty sure he thinks Jess’s house is his second home now…which I’m honestly fine with, because I know he’s safe and adored there. Jess and her whole family are wonderful, warm people. They treated Dodger like he belonged with them, and that’s all a dog mom could ever want. We will definitely be booking again (unless Dan steals him permanently 😂). Thank you, Jess, for loving our boy so well. He misses you all already! ❤️🐾 P.s thank you for being so accommodating and helpful with his bath, I loved getting to pick him up early and snuggle him with us the moment he came home🥹💕”

Cynthia has lots of experience with rescues and was quick to pick up on her needs. During the vacation she sent us many videos and pictures, which helped a great deal.
