“WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior. About: I have taken care of animals for over a year now at a dog daycare/boarding centre in a variety of different circumstances. From Mastiff’s to Chihuahuas, I am confident taking care of various different sized dogs with a variety of different dietary needs from raw diets to kibble diets, medical needs from dogs that get medication once a day to dogs that get medication several times a day, and activity needs from dogs that need regular exercise to senior dogs that don’t need to be exercised. I have also had experience handling dogs that are extremely nervous around new people, dogs that can resource guard toys, and dogs that are highly reactive. I am a full-time commuter college student with large gaps between my morning and afternoon classes which I can travel to and from the owners house to let their dogs out and play with during. I do research into the biology and psychology of different animals to also better understand them. I have raised and potty trained puppies, cats, and even rats. About: I’ve had animas my entire life from dogs to chickens, rabbits, a chinchilla, turtles, a bearded dragon, cats, and more! Dogs hold a special place in my heart. I’ve trained with dogs my whole life. I worked at a dog kennel for 7 years, trained dogs professionally for 4, and recently graduated from an accredited dog training school called Starmark! About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets primarily the most experience with dogs since I was 13 years old. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds from puppies to senior dogs. Additionally I’ve also fostered and cared for cats when friends and neighbors have been away on vacation. I’ve been lucky to also own two dogs of my own, most recently Puddles. I ensure that all pets feel safe and earn their trust through regular walks, consistent schedules for meal times, snacks and tons of playtime as well. I try to stay as active with pets as possible. Furthermore I have experience caring for senior dogs that need medications and have alternative potty methods. I am happy to provide excellent care for you and your pet at any age. I currently am a freelancer looking to change direction in my career so I have flexible availability and can be available for short notices at the moment. I have experience with crate training but with Puddles I took him out on walks 2-3x a day and also let him have yard access with a secured fence 2-3x a day. Each client is different so as long as I have some basic directions I usually can adjust to each pet’s needs. I know building trust and safety for our pets is super important.

“Leo had an amazing time with Melissa and her family. She had her dogs which kept him busy and happy as he loves to play with others and he got plenty of cuddles. We did a meet and greet with the pups a week before the boarding to ensure wveryone got along well and i could already tell leo was in great hands and Melissa even assured me there would always be someone there just in case. The pictures Melissa sent as we were gone made me happy to see that he was getting spoiled and was having great naps and playtime. “WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior.
